how long is coffee able to be stored before roasting and after roasting? im curious

In specialty coffee, we talk about the fresh crop, so roasters aim to roast and sell coffee within a year (before a new harvest come) but very often they do it much quicker. The major factor that influences how long will coffee remain good is a storage room/space and quality of green coffee (how it was processed and dried).
Once it is roasted, it is recommended to drink it within a month to get the best of the taste. That’s the ideal scenario, we had many excellent cups that were older than that.
