Paytm also charges 3% for putting money back into bank account. Agar aapne kisi friend se paise liye ho, ya credit card se wallet me apise dalwaye ho to aapko wo paise bank me dalne ke liye kafi bada commision dena hoga. This year I received my March salary late because of year ending (which I totally forgot). I had to pay a credit card bill for which I had no money in bank account. I tranferred money to wallet from card, and back to bank and then paid that month's bill. For that transfer I had to pay 3% charge to MobiKwik wallet (only other wallet that allows such a transfer).

Off late many merchants are not willing to accept paytm wallet and want to make you pay through UPI. The regulations on wallets are getting stricter by the day, and with UPI you really enabling all relevant players even when you are adding your own QR code. Also I don't think RBI allows you to earn interests on escrow. Can you confirm about the same? The major advantage I feel which paytm has is enabling credit card topups of wallets, which enables the end user to use credit card at a lot more avenues without having to bear the charges levied by credit card companies on non-merchant payments.
Your case study seems to be based more on assumptions . You must share data to support your statement which was not present. Bank dosent give interest on Escrow accounts you need to come up with more finished details
