Been restoring a fiberglass boat for 3 summers now. Tore it down to skin and bones. Every step I did gave me that “I give” feeling at first. Then going along anyway, mess something up and have to backtrack will bring out some demons for sure. Just need to know when to take a step back and a deep breath. Good work
Duck Tape is your friend. for your next cable running project, Wrap the end of any cable (connected to your fish tape/wire/rope) with duck tape to make a smooth transition so there is nothing to hang up in the tube. pull slow and you have it. Great content, great videos. Good job.
I used to be a field technician doing a lot of ethernet cabling. Electrical tape works amazing for doing the same thing and not nearly as thick as duct tape.
Your ingenuity and dedication in taking your boat apart and camping with it, along with the full DIY electronics reveal, showcase your impressive skills and passion for adventure. Your creativity and resourcefulness are truly inspiring. And I am Floating Village Life
I rebuilt my Pontoon, took off everything, the engine, furniture, everything put new deck on it woven vinyl, and re did all wiring, added some new deck lights and docking lights, re did the console. Worked on the engine. I know my pontoon inside and out.
There ain't nothing like being on the water and hearing that outboard starting up. I just love it.i just close my eyes and dream that I'm back out on the water with my boat...... awesome video brother. Btw if you ever need boat wireing , that's my forte' I love running wires in boats!
You need a cable puller from homedepot or amazon. It’s a coated wire you can run through the conduit and hook it up to wire and pull it through. Makes life sooo much easier.
Rackley the dangling fool I absolutely loved it for sure!!! I remember putting my garmin on my 18’ wide body flat bottom and I definitely thought it was a nightmare trying to run wires for an older boat being a 1969 and didn’t even have a title for it when it came out they had told me when I tried getting it listened up but they made a new one for me!! With the boat not ever even having a trolling motor on it well she is definitely setup now but now I have been having some issues with the boat motor not wanting to idle up when putting in the forward gear!! She just wants to fall on her face every time!!! I have checked out the fuel system that I had herd from a couple people but everything in the fuel system is new and I’m still having issues with it!!! It definitely has me wondering what it might be and definitely stumped!!! I have even went through and completely rewired the entire engine because I had noticed quite a few wires that had gotten a little steamy maybe and was worried that maybe some had shorted out??? I no every thing was working up until winter and my first time out after winter it started doing this!!! No changes so I’m guessing it has to be something easy that I’m not seeing!! It is just a very low hour 35HP Johnson that definitely ran very smoothly I have ever seen an older engine that ran!!! It had been baught by a guy for a backup motor for his duck boat and had sat in his garage most of its life Incase he had issues with his other boat motor and he had said he never needed to use it other than put on a couple other boats that didn’t have a motor on and a buddy was looking to buy and they wanted to take the boats out to make sure they still floated and didn’t have any unforeseen holes or damage and then it was taken back off and back to his garage!! If any boat guys out there have any ideas on my issue I’m having with my engine please let me know!!! Thanks!!! And Rackley I definitely cannot wait to see you pull in some magnum crappies in your next video buddy!!! I was definitely hart Brocken when I didn’t get to see you ripping the lips off them in this video!!! I’m definitely itching to see that big 3lb magnum next video for sure!! Awesome video!!!!
I wade fish the James River 5 times a week, more if possible, and I usually catch something every time. I got skunked today myself and was feeling down. Nice to know I am not alone. Crispy is looking great brother!
I really enjoyed this video more than any other one I’ve ever seen of yours. I worked at Boris Marine electronics off and on and I worked for Texas boat works, and done a lot of installs on the side on electronics for people including Rick at Anglers pro tackle, on his boat so I enjoyed watching you work on yours, I wish I could’ve been there to help you buddy. I’ve got all the stuff you needed to run all those cables. You did a good job.for not having a fish tape puller!
Never have I laughed so much rackley one of your best videos yet!!! The struggle is real unreal to be fair but the jokes was on point!! Proud of ya god bless❤
I have mine running down the outside rail inside a pvc tube. The great thing about that is I can route the wires easily and change it easily if desired. You are suppose to mount the transducer on the other side of the motor. You could see turbulence on the side you chose. Also get a block of plastic delrin from Bass Pro Shop and mount and glue it to the transom so you can drill into the plastic not the boat every time. I use to be your neighbor down the street in Double Oak and could show you my install but now I am fishing down south.
A bit late for me to chime it...But I would have just run the transducer wire separately. You might have been able to mount and run your own 2-3" conduit (plastic not EMT) for future upgrades...But anything more than 3/4 full (in the "tube") is too much...BUT, if you have to run it through the "tube" use copious about of wire pull lube....TONS!
Just a thought if I was a smaller company, let’s call it fun and son and I was using someone to market my goods and giving them an extreme deal and then felt like the deal was a little too one-sided! It sure comes to light when you decide to never use them In all of the things you said they did so well in your own application
Wiring in boats is always a pain lol I have an avid and it’s pretty much identical to the Vexus boats. I made my harness for my 4 graphs on my boat in like 30 min for less than 200 bucks, the sea clear harnesses are ridiculously priced imo lol but looks good great job!
Vexus messed up when they turned the electrical conduit 90 degrees like that. I used to work at Ranger and Triton. With those boats, all the electrical wires come out on the gunnel and everything runs flush behind the throttle panel. I live here in east texas. If you ever need some help with your boat you can hit me up sometime.
I wish i could buy one of them graft. Let me be real i wish i could go fishing in rhis texas heat. Good for you sir. Fyi maybe show us how to find a good deal on electronics. Back to the crappie.
Great job dude! I was sweating just watching you struggle in the heat. One quick comment. Has Googan ever questioned their customers/users whether they prefer those pain in the a$$ clamshell "protectants" in the soft bait bags? I live in Canada, so I don't get on the water much more than 100 times per year, but I don't know anyone who "appreciates" the added baitkeepers. Stay safe, love your content.
Leaving the part out that brought the worst in you made me feel much better. So I'm not the only asshole idiot! the heat here makes that switch flip quick 😂😂
Hey man my names mark from Harris outdoors… noticed you need some paint work on that trailer … Id love to take care of that for ya… maybe we could work something out with me fixing that and you having me on the boat for a day… let me know man! I’ve been subs for years and d love your content seems like we grew alike!
Not wanting to be critical, but putting a towel on the edge of the boat and using better form while lifting will save both you and your boat from injuries.
Are the Long sleeve Shirts good at protecting you from the sun? I’ve had some before from an outdoors store but they really didn’t work. 😏 But here’s my problem I’ve had some nasty back surgeries along with having psoriatic arthritis and so the medicine which is methotrexate that they have me on says to stay out of the sun. 😡 And I’m an outdoor freak and then some and I’m about to go flipping crazy because I have to stay out of the sun and trust me if I don’t it makes me a puppy big time, So right now life really sucks without being able to do what I love and that’s been on the water and in the woods all the time.😢 So I need help and reliable feedback on some clothing that protects from the sun so I can get back out and fish. Please. Thank you for your channel and others like it, at least I can watch a good contact on what I love to do. Thank you
I saw a tik-tok video of LFG's son going into the lake. I imagine the use of that footage wasn't approved. In any event, the majority of the comments thought it was staged for a viral moment. Just thought I would put that out there.
I watched the video it happened in and i would highly doubt it was staged Throwing a kid off a boat that young regardless of life vest or not would be insane
LFG and Steph would NEVER EVER do that for clicks. The fans know better than that. I don't have tiktok and it's probably a good thing. I would have gone off on them 😅
With the ease of livescope fishing I don't care to watch anymore. It's depressing to me when I think about it. It's like using thermals to hunt deer at night.
Lol..i was the good Samaritan that stopped by and let you know about the campground...i knew i had seen you before...

2:24 Best truck ever made! Beautiful!
I always say being resourceful and stubborn gets you a long way in this life and this vid portrays those virtues exceptionally. Great example!
Another great video as always!
It was nice that you showed that even if things aren’t easy, if you persevere you can succeed!
Great work!

Man that's awesome you rig your own boat. I do all my own rigging before and running those wires can be so dang aggravating lol. Glad u got er done.
Watching this makes me appreciate my Gatortrax Strike even more... wiring and working this boat is so amazingly easy!
There ain't nothing like being on the water and hearing that outboard starting up. I just love it.i just close my eyes and dream that I'm back out on the water with my boat...... awesome video brother. Btw if you ever need boat wireing , that's my forte' I love running wires in boats!

Ironically called "fish tape"
When planning shade tree mechanic work, you might want to have with you one of the quick set canopies.
Love the new graph set-ups and as usual a fun and informative video.

Looks like you could turn that bracket around the other way and it would move the graph further away from the steering wheel
Maybe you need a pusher and a puller. I've been there, only to come up a little bit short! Great videos Justin. You keep it real! 😂
I wade fish the James River 5 times a week, more if possible, and I usually catch something every time. I got skunked today myself and was feeling down. Nice to know I am not alone. Crispy is looking great brother!
Pro tip, anytime you run a cable tie on a pull string to go with it. Next time you need to run a wire that string is there to pull it!
been down that road a time or two. always a blast!

What if you turn the bracket around on the back unit. Looks like it would angle front and it would give you a little more room. I did that on mine.
Never have I laughed so much rackley one of your best videos yet!!! The struggle is real unreal to be fair but the jokes was on point!! Proud of ya god bless❤

I have the same exact boat. And the spot where he put the transducer is exactly where the factory mounted it.

"There was some demons coming out"
I felt that from my toenails lol
should have people take pictures of their boat wire messes and send them in. would be fun lol.
Wiring in boats is always a pain lol I have an avid and it’s pretty much identical to the Vexus boats. I made my harness for my 4 graphs on my boat in like 30 min for less than 200 bucks, the sea clear harnesses are ridiculously priced imo lol but looks good great job!

I have a 2002 Ranger I bought new. Similar struggles. Older boats a bastard with running multipe cables / wire front and rear.
Anyone gonna talk about that mint red obs at bass pro? Anyway awesome video Rackley!
You better go ahead and get that 3/4" spacer for your steering wheel Justin!!!!
Get the dd26 Garmin clip to secure those graphs to cradles.
Need another New Zealand trip!!!
Trolling I spend 99% my time in the rear.. but I walleye/ musky fish year around in Michigan
Another great vid. Love it when you truck camp. Keep them coming--Go FM jaguars.
I wish i could buy one of them graft. Let me be real i wish i could go fishing in rhis texas heat. Good for you sir. Fyi maybe show us how to find a good deal on electronics. Back to the crappie.
get a tilt steering helm for it
for the graph/steering wheel gap
having the same boat.. taking the seats off is really the only reasonable way to deal with those cables
Please tell me I am not the only one that heard a cat.....when he was lifting the seats back in....Min 33:18'ish
I feel your pain on the install LFG. Lol. Thanks for sharing!

Greetings from the surface of the sun…aka Arizona….the heat can’t stop the dangle
Love it great information thank you
Glad I could get the GT-56 for you at work 😂!
Leaving the part out that brought the worst in you made me feel much better. So I'm not the only asshole idiot! the heat here makes that switch flip quick 😂😂
Fellas someone make LFG a bracket for the dash unit
Congratulations.
Why didn’t you keep your phoenix it has a big enough deck to camp on
Kitchen and Bath. IYKYK
love the vids man
I'll take your old Fish finder
Justin, Contact Matt from Tricked Tins to get a custom mount for that dash screen!!!
He'll do it better than ANYONE!
Where is the black truck?
Hey man my names mark from Harris outdoors… noticed you need some paint work on that trailer … Id love to take care of that for ya… maybe we could work something out with me fixing that and you having me on the boat for a day… let me know man! Is that Lake Georgetown or Lake Granger?
Rackley the danglin dangler 😂
Where crispy? The Real Catfish Boat.
Not wanting to be critical, but putting a towel on the edge of the boat and using better form while lifting will save both you and your boat from injuries.
At first I thought you added in the meow sound because you were having a hard time picking up the seats lmao
FYI, silicone breaks down when in contact with water. You should go with polyurethane instead
haha. JC get it to the end zone.
My favorite fishing TH-camr. I have to add that Vexus went cheap and sloppy with that wiring.
the seats
Oh, dear 😳!
Happy Fourth of July Weekend Bro .🎉🎊💥🇺🇲
I trust you'll get it
worked out💪🥵👍.
JO JO IN VT 💞
bird was cheering you on Justin Rackley
A fiberglass fish tape would have made it easy.
❤

Thank you
“Okay, phase 1”💀
You fish for bass and “cats” lol
I build bass boats and taking them apart is a bad idea.
👍🤙

100% not staged!!!
I cover my wires in pledge, makes it easier to pull thru that cheap ass corrugated pipe
Did i hear a cat??
Don't sleep on using soap to help running wires. Hope you are malaria free.
Wearing long sleeves, gloves, and face covers in 100 temps? No thanks. That would look weird. Only for GenZ or Millennials
With the ease of livescope fishing I don't care to watch anymore. It's depressing to me when I think about it. It's like using thermals to hunt deer at night.
Bass fishing is for chumps
@lakeforkguy I'm with dualpro get at me let's get a charger in there
So funny seeing someone who used to get boats for free now buy his own hahaha yikes 😂 tell me your channel has flattened out 😂😂
