Nelson, I know you probably don't have time to read all of your comments but I'm hoping you see this one. You have completely changed the game for me. I only recently got back into chess after playing in middle school and HS. Your videos, especially the rating climb vids have really energized me to keep playing and just stop blundering to climb in my ratings. I wouldn't play nearly as much if it weren't for you.
@@SweetDream2346yo man don’t sweat him. Here with you bud. Negative people all around for sure. But we get let them get us all down. But yeah I wish more people would just be friendly instead of negative.
That draw with 50 moves was just awesome!!! Your reaction was priceless too. Pure joy to watch! In one of the later games with leroquentin (whom you reported), I think they were just trying to trap your queen. It seemed that they didn't want to leave that diagonal hence didn't take your knight on f6. Also, they might have wanted to keep the f4 square for the knight. That left only c1 for the bishop. Moreover, the a,b pawn pushes were also hinting at the same idea. I think they might have realised it later that after h6 queen trap was out of the question.
I didn't really think the last game from the last stream was suspicious but obviously the anti-cheat system detected something I didn't if they were banned. Sad to see such a beautiful game ruined by cheaters
B5 at 56:47 was the top engine move. That move sticks out to me as a computer move because it just gives a pawn but it completely neutralizes white's initiative. Either an incredibly strong player or a cheater just based on that one move
In January 2024 he started out as a 600 player! Played lots of 10-minute games to get his rating up quickly. Won his first game as a 600 with 90% accuracy, with 2 Greats and 17 Bests. Not sus at all.....no doubt he selectively uses the engine so as to try and keep under the radar.
I actually want to thank you for blundering that a pawn! Made me feel less bad about my own blunders. Thanks for everything you do! Particularly your series going through Logical Chess has been really great. I’ve worked through the book myself but your extra insights really help the lessons stick. 💝
No way we can eliminate mistakes. Thats what makes chess chess. Chess is all about - "Dont make mistakes and take advantage of other people's mistakes."
10:38 instead of going Qd8 and exchanging everything, you could have gone to bishop h6, forcing the black queen to f6 square, and then it's back rank mate. edit : 21:11 i don't know nothing about chess, turns out Qd8 is brilliant move.
I can watch you play, see a lot of moves, listen carefully, go to play with a lot of confidence and get my butt handed to me! I would love to blame a cheater but my % say nope I just played really bad.
At 2:15:27... i mean regarding possition after you play Qe3, (where Qe2 looks better since you avoid a pin)... you did not show why Qe3 is mistake, i thought during the game black had Nxh5 here, because it looks like you cant take back with Nxh5 since your queen then hangs. So black can just take that annoying pawn and has less problems?
In game 2 at 30 minutes in, I don't know why Nelson didn't do Rae1 then he has Nxe6+ and the Knight is protected from the queen by the rook. The knight can then take the last protecting pawn on g7. Am I reading that right?
59:38 killing with the bishop last would have been the best move. that way opponent will lose all the pieces and nelson would have the bishop remaining
I wanted to add that I have watched Ben Finegold making decisions for St.louis chess club and i was cosntantly shaking my head. The trend I noticed is that GM's expect people to play predictable OR ELSE but tyhen is that chess anymore if you know exactly what the opponent is going to play?So then they are hypocritical becuase someone like Magnus makes an offbeat play then it is considered AMAZING or CRAZY etc etc.
at 38:33 you should have considered Rxg7 as after Rxa6 you have Rg6+ forcing Ne6 and then you have Rxb5 and you have 2 rooks vs R, N and a pawn. Should be at least a draw.
I think to increase your rating you will need to play solidly. Less gambits and sacrifices. You have the capability. I’ve seen you play well against engines.
Dude, you are the best chess teacher out there, but with all due respect you seem to have become way too tilted with cheaters. First thing you do is to look at the date of their account... The rice cooking thing was funny but now it is kind of dominating whole segments of your videos. Again, I truly enjoy the way you explain your thoughts and I will keep watching your videos, it is just that I noticed a change of mood in your last streamings.
Nelson, you blame us for your time management but half the time is you rubbing your head and thinking and we are on the other side shouting “Fuckin’ move”

Why do people cheat in chess 😭
Cuz they suck
Because they lose too many games when playing fairly, and then they decide to get revenge on average fair players
