if this is real, i love hearing his raw voice. People are so quick to judge how off key he is but have no idea how hard it is while dancing, plus he’s sick. I think this is amazing.
Just for anyone who is wondering, the reason why Michael's vocals sound "different" here is because the audio he is receiving in his headphones isn't his live voice but the same playback the audience is hearing, meaning he actually can't hear himself. For that reason it doesn't even need to sound good, but he's still singing for the sake of making it authentic anyway as he's still clearly singing and putting his all into the performance. With that said I honestly thought this sounded cool and it was awesome hearing MJ vocalize with his dance pops (HO!) and hear the aggression in his voice when performing this song ❤❤
Mike did not use any headphones until TII rehearsals. He even mentioned it himself in the movie during Jackson 5 Medley, claiming it's hard for someone who was used to his oral hearing to work with inner ears for the first time. He was out of breath due to multiple reasons during the whole tour and the off pitch parts here sounds exactly like he can't control his breath in passagio from chest to high as he's trying to hit the notes. They were mostly too high for him at the time to belt or use his upper range of chest voice. The other thing is that he was fully aware that his mic was low or even off during most of the songs so he did not have to control the vocals at all.
no bro, michael only used headphones on this is it, in jackson 5 medley he shows his discomfort, although i don't think this vocal is bad, he was tired and didn't need to sing 100% because it was on playback
@@Ethan-wr2os It's not the inner ear but the headset he used. I know you can see something in his right ear during performances with this kind of mic but if you look at the handheld shots, you'll notice, he does not use any kind of headphones. Check it for yourself :)

I miss MJ. I see Levelle and Cris - I think that one dancer in the beginning might of been Jamie but 4 one reason i think maybe not. MJ's dancers are awesome esp the originals. I love Cris,Levelle Jason Yribar he reminds me of Eddie in ways and and the singer ( I think its MJ sound good but sound out of breathe or maybe sick a little 0:56 I think but wait it does sound like him except on one part Micheal and look like him.
