Today Tracey creates a selection of lovely colourful background patterns to introduce the Dinkles, our brand-new range of powdered inks released this Friday, the 26th of May.
These versatile inks come in a range of stunning vivid colours, and because they are water-soluble, can be used in many different ways to produce quick and easy backgrounds for stamping and other craft projects.

This is so beautiful Tracey; thank you for your inspiration. I have just received my complete set of Dinkles and now, very excited to use them! 💖
Instead of wasting all that "paint" by flicking the brush onto paper before putting it on the gel press, flicking the "extra" onto a craft mat gives one the opportunity for two different looks (two for one)! Those colors made beautiful gel press backgrounds but I'll bet they make beautiful "ink smooshing" backgrounds too! I love the vibrant colors. TFS

Hi these dinkles look like a lot of fun similar to brusho but different brighter colours can't wait for mine to arrive thanks for the tutorial.
I hope you have fun with them when they arrive. The Dinkles are a dry ink flat colour and their powder is superfine, unlike Brushos that are more coarse and split colours with crystals. They do work well together. You'll have great fun with these! Thank you for watching! 😊Emma-Jo 🧚♀️💙👓

How do these differ from Brushos???

I'm sorry if this question was answered and I missed it but what is the difference between these and Brusho?

Dinkles concentrated powders are mostly a flat colour that allow for maximum colour control and versatility. From the most brilliant colour to the most subtle depending on the amount of water added to them. Whereas Brusho are a split intense and deep crystal colour. The vibrant colours of Dinkles are also specifically designed to suit the Lavinia Palette.

These are wow colours. Can’t tell from the screen if they are Matt or have mica in them. Thanks Tracey
I think from a response to an earlier comment, or maybe it was a comment on a different video😂, they are matte. Also, at the start Tracey said you can add mica to them, too, and if they were already shimmery that likely wouldn't be necessary.

Hi Tracy, love the colours of the Dinkies.. I have already left you a message a few days ago asking you what type of paint are in the small containers, which seem watered down, then you use the fan brush to speckle the paper.

Gorgeous colors! I noticed holes in the lids. I live in very humid Florida. Do i need to plug those holes to keep the powder dry?

Yes Lucy, you are right. The Dinkles are a matt dry ink with no shine to them - however as Tracey suggests in the video - you can add the mica shade of your choice to them for a shiny and stunning effect. Hope that helps. 😊

Are they such a pigmented ink that you need to make sure you have to wear gloves?

@cherry, of course she is wearing gloves! I don't think you understand what this product really is. It is powdered ink, and when the water hits, It turns into ink! Would you put your hands into a container of ink??? Most artists understand this!

I don't think you get the reason she is wearing gloves! Once water hits the Dinkles, it turns into ink!!! Of course, she is wearing gloves. Most artist recognize this.
She doesn't want to be s rubbing her fingers for eternity trying to remove ink. They aren't watercolors.
