One thing I wanna mention is how comps that rely on backline carries are getting worse and worse because they get obliterated by Ryze and Hwei. In diamond+ you see at least 3 people playing Ryze. Disgusting and boring. Really cringe meta tbh
just FYI, some lad put Mittens artifact on smolder the other day and he just flies off the board and keeps nuking, he eventually comes back in but he's unkillable by meele units as they cant reach him while he hovers, My fiora missed 2 ults on him and I just lost, really broken interaction :D
IDK. I have a lot of problem with Veigar. Other than need high econ + a lot of specific items, my biggest problem gotta be lv7 board with 2* Veigar and Vex feel so underwhelming so I bleed too much hp mid game
Only fixation to that is to make sure you’re hitting a stable board on tempo and be sure to actually stabilize. Then during that window period you’re stable, you make your interest back up to slow roll on 50 or roll more. Positioning matters a lot during these times because you aren’t rolling after being stable and you need to win. Also fights are very close so the biggest positioning would change a lot. I don’t play veigar, but make sure you’re picking augments that are good with the comp and you already have good items.
I'm kind of curious if Jayce himself can carry. He just seems real solid even without items. Also, I was chatting a bit with Leduck about this, but Tristana just feels better than Kalista right now (and easier to hit).
I ended up going 1st twice actually with adventure Seraphine/soraka mage Reroll. I wanted to play Zoe/Ahri but was Contested so i figured hitting Soraka/Seraphine would be Way easier
It's very good especially if you hit 3star kat & 2star the 4costs. But you need good econ/HP management to stabilize the comp. I love playing this comp but it is an uphill climb to fight Vs the opponents collective tempo 😭😭😭
got spiderqueen last game and wasted over 150 gold not hitting 3star elise. I would rather force a comp now rather than playing around "S-tier" comp then be trolled by the champion poll

You must have been rolling at least lv6, which is definitely the wrong way to play that comp. Cuz if that happens so naturally, what about the ahri comps
I feel like the kogmaw board ia actually really bad. Sure you can maybe get a 4th or 3rd out of it, but almost all combs i play wipe the floor with maxed out kog boards. Ezreal 2 and Hwei 2 allone kill them pretty easily if you have strong frontline.
you can play 4 vanguard 4 blasters, does not matter if you have spat or not you always have that on lvl 7 and just roll for hwei, ezreal and morde 3 and you have mostly a free win, 4 out of 5 last games i played got first with this comp lmao
If you position well, you can counter her a bit, whereas with syndra there was no counterplay, she was so unintuitively overpowered and frustrating to play against

I got to GM playing meta op comps all the time. Your comp is not a sleeper, its just not tier S and people are not playing it. Thats it. Most of the times, B and A tier comps have more success than S tiers.

In frost comp, I thought we always ditch Warwick and play Zilean?
At least for me, the extra frontline is needed as an extra measure to prevent frontline from collapsing too fast

Nilah was nerfed and I think it’s less prio
the comp was being carried by how OP Nilah was early. Nilah and Fiora both got big damage nerfs.
It’s still good if you get warrior crest and/or steraks augment but less spammable
Fiora and Nilah were hotfix nerfed
The B-Patch was targeting Ahri and Nilah/Fiora which brought the Warrior comp down from S tier

Jayce can carry early but not late. Single target damage that doesn't scale will get stuck on tanks and be useless stage 5+.
jayce early 2 star can carry until stage 4
I tried 3 star jayce carry but he's fall apart at level 8, not enough damage to carry anymore

I got 3 star veigar and 3 star vex, 5 mage comp, level 7 on stage 4, and then I lost to freaking 7 frost with no 3 stars.
