I love how he was trying to make the guy behind him included. Like looking back at him while he was singing to say hi or see if he is looking. Nahko is awesome lol
I noticed the same thing. It really shows his personality. It's difficult to make my list of favorite artists, and he's done that. My list is very short, Maynard James Keenan, Eddie Vedder and now this awesome dude. Really cool to see he and his music are not fake like the rest of the recycled "music"
That’s what these festivals are for. A trip, and a transformation.. meeting others souls and gaining perspectives and challenging one another with our different energies we’ve brought from our own little lives. I wish to go be one of these people. Sometimes you’re the paper sometimes you’re the pen. I also wish to go to one of these festivals one day.
This deserves so so so many more views.. Nahko isn’t just a person, many see him simply as a way of life. How to treat yourself, others and our Earth. Be kind and humble and live your life. Live it to the absolute best of your ability. Generally, just be a kind person through all the fucked up things the world has and is going through.
Much love and thanks, Nahko and Medicine for the People. You have inspired me beyond belief. Thank you for your kind words and uplifting spirit. Love to you all!
Your words are powerful I've heard this but didn't know what you meant but wow brother tears you are real I could feel the love honestly man amongst men you truly are love is what we all need keep it up love brother
wow thank you for this brother! I need to research the return of the rainbow tribe, rainbow people more! I've been hearing this ALOT. My beautiful husband and I got married two years ago, I without question from the start demanded a rainbow wedding haha and lately I've been hearing about the rainbow people. We are heeeeeeere
Damn... Blown away, ive only just recently found this song like about 3 months ago and it touched my heart and soul and just to like have him explain it like this was just beautiful and profound, i already knew it was a deep song but seeing how humble he is around people like hes just a normal guy ya know.. because he is. We tend to lose sight of that when we look up that "artists" and singers/musicians especially in the more corporate business side of music but that is why i love Nahko, and SOJA and Trevor hall because its just like connecting with humanity and being humble like this... Love this video so much thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful story, I knew there was a lot in the song but I never thought I'd hear the man that wrote it tell the tale(s) behind it.
Nahko I appreciate this so much! First I love the song period. But to have you connect on a personal level with the soul sitting with you and explaining exactly what your meaning is is just phenomenal! Thank you so much!
I believe this was officially that guy's interview.. He and a few other photographers were chasing Nahko around when I found him in the nest. He did look so happy to be there. There was a few perma-grins around!
Some people don't get it yet. This video changed my life, true story. Too bad by the time I got it, tickets to EF are almost sold out. >.< Hope they still have VIP left next month. o.O What's the security like here? Fences? -_-
Punlive.net you know this question plagued my mind for the longest time. Not only In just this song but any great song that had downward thumbs... the answer is simple. it was an accident!.. I'm guilty of it. In order to listen to TH-cam the phone has to be on and open. It leaves plenty of room for stuff to get typed and buttons to get smashed either by the phone owners themselves or their children.
Heheh I was thinking💭 he's lookin a lil bit lively there 😊 love the way he keeps stopping and telling you all about the things he's singing about. #feelingtiptop
This is probably the manliest thing I have ever seen. All men should take a note. Get in touch with your feminine side. Love you all no matter what, even if you troll on me because at the end of the day you're Fucking Beautiful!!
***** It takes the right balance between the two, and I def disagree. too much masculine going on these days. Don't you see the wars, the starvation, the greed. Where is the empathy? The feminine touch! Too many men beating their chest. We need more men with compassion and empathy! I takes a balance to be a decent human being
Perhaps he means, in a sense, things come full circle? Ishmael is a story that goes into the past and through the future in search for the truth of human kind's purpose. How do we arrive to that truth? Perhaps in this line Nahko means, taking the knowledge that the teachers will leave? Its an excellent book, i highly recommend it!
rabbit proof fence is the movie.. Tells the true story of three aboriginal girls who are forcibly taken from their families in 1931 to be trained as domestic servants as part of an official Australian government policy. They make a daring escape and embark on an epic 1,500 mile journey to get back home - following the rabbit-proof fence that bisects the Australian continent - with the authorities in hot pursuit.
Oh, fer crying out loud. 2013 I wasn't there, 2014 I was there, 2015 I was there, and as i speak Nakho is there and I'm not. (2016). I'm starting to feel like there's some issue. This is why you must return to the Forest.
Do Eagles really do that though? In the wild? Is he speaking metaphorically for elders in the community or something? Please provide insight- I look to Nahko for inspiration and I want to understand
As it were. Thought so....thank you for your research and time. I would hope and I do believe that Nahko did in fact use it as a metaphor. Sounds pretty idiotic for an eagle, any creature, to pluck it's feathers out and break it's own beak. Sounds dumb...don't think Earth creatures are into that. Just sadist humans . Anyways thanks again buddy take care and fly on
Electric Forest for life! Such a great time! Check out these Great Lakes Hammocks! Greatest hammocks on the planet. Partly inspired by Electric Forest, we plant two trees (in the Great Lakes region) for every hammock sold. They’re the best hammocks with the best strap system. You can set it up in Sherwood Forest in under a minute. Or pack it up in under a minute and move to a different part of the forest or take off to catch an act at a stage. facebook.com/GreatLakesHammock www.greatlakeshammock.com/
Okay, this sounds like some kind of alternate form of rap. Yes, it is feel good music. Here's the thing. I can appreciate the effort to bring people together and talk about the pressing issues of the day. Humble doesn't perform shirtless all the time. Let's not lose sight of the fact that the "package" is part of what is being sold here. Right now, I object to all the commentary on Indigenous culture and history. He is no historian or expert or whatever. And I am concerned that there is a process of capitalizing on Indigenous cultures and the current trendiness of being Indigenous. "And breed them with white folks?? Really? This feels like an objectification of Indigenousness with a nod to celebrity. Just sayin'.
Mihku Paul we are all our own expressions and you choose to accept or not, it is all truly your choice, many of us choose to hear and embrace some of this wisdom shed by another person who has it to offer, unfortunately , yes , people are going to favor this over someone below the standards today but that doesn't take away from the difference people like this make and the trueness of their intentions with it
100% rolling he's one of us
I wish I could listen to Nahko as close as that ♥
I love how he was trying to make the guy behind him included. Like looking back at him while he was singing to say hi or see if he is looking. Nahko is awesome lol

Nahko I appreciate this so much! First I love the song period. But to have you connect on a personal level with the soul sitting with you and explaining exactly what your meaning is is just phenomenal! Thank you so much!
Oh how I love his interspersed narrations! fantastic !
I believe this was officially that guy's interview.. He and a few other photographers were chasing Nahko around when I found him in the nest. He did look so happy to be there. There was a few perma-grins around!

Forgive the shortsighted one who loses his spectacles and presses the wrong key by accident.
Unhappy souls.

beautiful. where was this at?
what does he say at 2:45 " you guys read" what?
He says, " you guys read Ishmael" :)
www.amazon.com/Ishmael-An-Adventure-Mind-Spirit/dp/0553375407
Thankyou, so does that have any significance to "takers are taking what the leavers will leave" or any other bit?
Perhaps he means, in a sense, things come full circle? Ishmael is a story that goes into the past and through the future in search for the truth of human kind's purpose. How do we arrive to that truth? Perhaps in this line Nahko means, taking the knowledge that the teachers will leave? Its an excellent book, i highly recommend it!
❤ screqm loud dont care for opinion
Jayson! Love the video and nice to see you :) If you see this message, comment back... its Jen
the eagle rebirth story is actually an urban legend ya know lol...they don't actually do that

+Anthony Srebnick I looked it up and I think it's more metaphorical than realistic.
As it were. Thought so....thank you for your research and time. I would hope and I do believe that Nahko did in fact use it as a metaphor. Am I the only actual person who realizes this song is about a human sacrifice.
SHHH. Don't spoil it for others... LOL
