The Airborne Toxic Event have been my favorite since first hearing this song 15 years ago. Mikel Jollett was a writer before starting the band and his lyrics are spot on. Along with his music, he wrote a memoir, Hollywood Park, which is amazing.
I went for a boat ride once on the St. John's River, we pulled into the landing in Jacksonville. This band was about to take the stage, and i was unaware of what was about to happen. I was just on the river, and all of a sudden, i was at one of the best concerts I've ever seen.
@ReactionsToTheClassics I hope I made you feel my surprise and excitement. I was like 43, so nothing that good happens. Then here you go, good sir. The restaurant we ate at was front row side stage. I bought a freaking violin after that show. No lie, it could've been May 5th . My anniversary, and that's why it was just my wife and I. We've been married for 34 years today.
I had very similar experience. Just completed Rotterdam marathon and went for a drink in the bar across from the hotel. These happened to be on stage, had no idea who they were and I was blown away
Luckily I can't personally relate to it (but still a great song) but also unluckily I can't relate, cause it's built on "we've all been there". But great reaction, always a pleasure coming here.

I have heard of few more of their tracks since this, what an underrated artist!

That is so awesome! And Happy Anniversary!!
So cool. Right after this song came out I got to see them in San Diego on top of an old downtown hotel
Oh that sounds like it was super cool!
If.you haven't yet, their song THE GRAVEYARD NEAR THE HOUSE is great as well.
Will check it out for sure!
Phenomenal song…..amazing lyrics
Totally agree. Thanks for watching!

Super appreciate it!
Oh hey i played one of theirs on a recent stream, these guys are great
That they are! Hope you are well LOB!
Love TATE and their ability to paint a story with their lyrics. They always remind me of the Psychedelic Furs
I could see that. Thanks for watching Jason!
Check out “Numb”, another great track from them. They have many.
Really appreciate the suggestion and thanks for watching @aatkinso!
Also, see them every time they come to Portland Oregon at Mcmenamins Crystal Ballroom (great concert and bar venue if you're in the area)
The smaller venues are where it is at. I have seen concerts in big arenas it is just not the same!
Once more. If you haven't seen it. Look up acoustic Something New. They are in a boat . Just watch.
Will do!
This band doesnt get nearly enough attention.
Thanks for Watching!
