You guys are so awesome. Got me into collecting clubs as a beginner golfer. Started watching to learn about club brands and their reliability but I found a new hobby so thank you guys! I’ve been able to find and flip some awesome clubs for myself and friends. Best finds so far, -Nike Vapor Fly irons 4-AW $300 -Nike 2016 IC mallet putter with cover $10 -Kirkland Iron set new in box $320 -Nike Method Putter $60 -Taylormade spider tour with cover $80
It still seems pretty weird to me how much golf clubs hold their value, used or even leftover new. Like, how is a used set of irons still over $1K or a used SM9 wedge $125?
Technology doesn’t advance that much year to year and it takes a lot to wear down irons. Used wedges being that much are a bit silly though. The better question is why new drivers are $600 then drop in half within 2 years.
It was never like that before Covid. The epidemic brought in millions of new golfers spiking prices and demand to all time high. Prices before then were ridiculously low for 1 year old models. I remember m2 iron sets going for 199$ right after M4 was released
The Ping Zing 2 set that u guys picked up was an amazing deal. I bought a set of them 2 years ago on Offer up for $180. It was the 3 iron to the Sand wedge. All still had the original grips that were still in excellent condition
being a budget golfer myself i always think of new golfers coming in after you and just getting skunked when they could’ve got a scotty for a 100. cool you guys got your 50th one tho!

I went to Gainsborough, Lincolnshire and was fitted for the Ping Zing 2. Loved them. My biggest mistake selling them to get a new set of TaylorMade.
S is standard. If I had to guess they put the grip on with the hosel adjusted to open or closed
My second set of clubs are a 3-PW Ping i3s with copper Zing 2 lob and sand wedges. Love them and play them often

It can be very frustrating. That’s why I play with my $300 box set.

Cause they’re usually built well so they last forever and even if they wear down you can usually restore them so the value will always be there!

Callaway’s Optifit hosel is made so that you don’t have to worry about the grip changing positions. Also S is for standard face angle.
I still play my ping zing 2 set they are so forgiving, my set has the 2 iron as well very hard to find

Ping Zing when you sit them down they always look SO INVITING to hit especially in the Summer which we don't get a lot of here in the U.K.
