Hey man! you are one hell of a Beekeeper, definitely entertaining to watch. Im from Canada and our winter id just ending, and its cold as balls still. Somehow those bees survive 6 months of below zero (coldest was -35c), we have to feed up the hives to 100lbs to survive! crazy eh, Keep at it man.
Helloo again 😉 You two with your funny titles on your video 😂 Just that is fun enough for me burst out in a big laugh. Here I am two days later - soon half of your videos have given me a wonderful weekend. 🤣👍🏻 Warm hugs 😘
Hello r u happy with your paradise hive, I am going down to dunsborough next week to have a look at them finally found a WA distributor for them. i had a few problems with rain water running in between the boxes and along the top bars . As usual entertaining and informative.
i think a trip to visit other beekeepers sounds rad! i just became a supporter on patreon. i look forward every day to your new videos. Keep up the good work :)
I know this is a old video, so no idea if you still watch these comments, but ants are indeed (somewhat) related to bees. Ants originally (millions and millions of years ago) came from wasps and split off. And wasps and bees are sonewhat related as far as I know. Antkeeper here btw.
With your warmer temps , does the sugar not ferment in the Hive? I know the bees try and keep the hive at about 36 degrees, but that is about the right temp for Fermentation? Does it cause condensation on the roof? Do you feed them water that way also to trick the emus? Sorry for all the questions. This clip might be of value for winter time, savesa lot of mucking about: th-cam.com/video/6E-iIHYGZrg/w-d-xo.html
Mate you should check out hantz honey in leeston new zealand. Im living in perth currently but my dad still lives in leeston and my mate was right into bee keeping but i dont think he does it so much anymore. My mates have farms with hives. i can put you in touch with the right people. Let me know if your keen. Theres a bloke there whos been doing it for years. Least its a short trip for ya. You could even do it on route to america. Another mate of mine has hives in the north island....
honeypot ants - which gorge themselves until their bellies swell to the size of grapes with a nectar-like substance - are eaten raw as sweet treats by aborigines. Maybe you could set up a nuc with honeypot ants.

Bees and ants are both classified as hymenoptera (along with wasps and sawflies)
Some ants fly to mate and they make honey dew which other insects feed from

Are those plastic hives or the polyester hives? / How have you found them compared to a classic wood.
Dear Bush Bee Man, Where can I get that feeder frame? can you give me the link please
Not sure where you are from, in the US you can get them from Mann Lake.
thanks brother!
Will you end up getting snow there or just cold
The Weekend Homestead Just a little chilly. Doesn’t look like he’s in the mountains and that’s the only place you’ll get snow down here
Ant ancestors are the wasp
Ants are evolved from the Wasps.

I’m a tight ass from Adelaide with deep pockets
