I have invisalign, its not thaaaat bad, but I've been using the dental wax for certain areas because it gets sore or digs into my gums weird. The first few days was horrible lol, it hurt so much- I never knew teeth could feel sore. Now im half way through, and it's definitely more comfortable... I change the tray every 7 days, and it doesn't get sore for more than like thr first 8 or 12 hours
this is literally the same way i felt when i got braces. i got them a few months ago and when i got home i was like "they look so big and dumb and ugly" because my mouth was also so small so all my teeth we like overlapped and i have a huge over bite and yeah its not nice. but they have done so much to fix my teeth. its been a big journey with my teeth like i have had to get 12 teeth removed (6 when i was like 9 and the 4 in january 2022) if any of you guys are struggling with a similar situation as me or as i did, i know this probably wont mean anything right now, but it will get better, trust me. the outcome is amazing like look at gab for example STUNNING!!! and you will be too so hold on we believe in you!
I'm wearing traditional metal braces with headgear and rubber bands 24/7 they look so imberesting and dumb on me I'm 50 I'm stayi.g home the next 3 years!! I'm shy anyone got any advice for me please?

I had my braces for 4 years 😭im finally getting them off next month. i didn't take care of them AT ALL when I first got them but I've been really taking care of them and wearing the rubber bands 24/7. the only thing I miss about not having braces is biting into an apple. i haven't done that in years and I promised myself that he first thing I'm gonna do after I get them off is eat an apple without slicing it into smaller pieces
So one of my crazy orthodontic stories is I had three teeth pulled out. I had a tooth pushing in my gums on the tooth above it and it was trying to come in two places from where it was supposed to be. Then I had braces and I never noticed the pain of the braces much and never really ate a lot of soft foods. But now I think that another tooth is trying to push another tooth and steal it's place so I'll have to experience that all over again 😅👍

When I got my braces I was so scared my head was POUNDING, I came home from school literally in the 2nd period, after I got then though I was fine. I felt no pain which was crazy but I'm rly happy the only problem I had was the elastics and expander 😫
I got my braces 4 months ago. And yeah the first week sucked, but after that I was fine! I actually look forward to my checkups to just see what has improved 😁 and I don’t really mind them anymore, when I first got them on I thought I looked pretty stupid, but now I’m comfortable with them and don’t even notice them!

But when she asked if I was ok (because my eyes were tearing) I was like “ yeah I’m fine 🥹” IDK WHY I COULDN’T SAY IT HURT 😭. And I was literally crying the whole way back home from how much she hurt me. IT WAS JUST CLEANING WHY SO AGGRESSIVE!!
I'm only 6 weeks in, but I binge watch dentist videos and the process of tightening, cleaning, removing them...you name it. Right now I'm just having extreme sensitivity in my front teeth (I have big spaces and gaps), but nothing I would describe as pain really. I have 23 months to go.
Here we go....I got braces in 2010 and omg my mouth was really sore..I had my wisdom teeth pulled prior but they pushing my teeth forward so they were all overlapping, once they started to shift correctly omg so much pain.. I could barely eat..I was tryna eat spaghetti and soft noodles alone was hard to eat. I was a nut with braces, I brushed and use the brush thing to get in the brackets all the time, I hated to smile so yes the first couple weeks was hell but I didn't have them on long bcz as the dentist said my teeth cooperated very well and I started to wear the retainer but was so excited about my teeth being straight that I didn't wear it all the time and now my bottom teeth have shifted back 🙄😬 the wax did help me but I had the cuts from the brackets in the back and in front..you have to use alot of wax..that's my story

i had a huge fear of dentist, is was kind of bad that they had to strap me onto the chair with weights and that the orthodontist had to jump on top of me. one time, i screamed so loud then the other patients got scared and left, so they had to kick me out 😄.
brooo i have braces on and i’ve had them not too long just seince summer and the orthodontist said that i’m doing really well and my teeth are moving quick wich i’m happy about but literally he said keep doing what your doing as i’m eating popcorn, gum, any candy😑 but ilysm and i’ve been here since day one ly💕💕💕
me and gabby have similar stories like omg 😳 everything was the same as gabbys experience but the wire poking hurt so bad i wanted to punch my mouth and like the expander was getting food stuck all the time till towards the end (i had braces for a year and a half) and when the took just the expander off i think i accidentally swallowed all the food stuck there and it was ✨disgusting✨ best experience of my life 😃
OMG i had an expander for the LONGEST time ever istg- It felt like so long and it hurt so much and the worst part is i had a lisp when i talked and it was so annoying omg- And unfortunately i still have my braces on but i get them off next year i think- ANYWAYS YOU LOOK SO GOOD!!
I used to grind my teeth in my sleep and my dentist told me if I don’t stop by the time all my baby teeth were gone I had to get my tonsils removed, and that scared me half to death and I stopped grinding them😜
Btw in my opinion, spacers are the worst. They put them in between your back moulers to give space for the expander and that hurts like CRAZY. So braces suck but spacer suck even more.
