Little late on this but yeah Nabalis is the king of starter balisongs. The canyon is insane for the price. The wave sounds and flips so much better than i thought.
The false edge live blade fits on kraken handles perfectly and it flips just like a Bowie kraken so you can get blem kraken handles and the false edge live blade and have a Bowie kraken for barely over 100$
My new beginner/starter suggestion is the canyon, I think learning on a heavier bali and switching to a lighter bali is easier than the opposite. Just my opinion.
@@Telestrooo right? its so good for 40 dollars, better than the vulp in my opinion, i just dont like aluminum for some reason, only aluminum bali i can flip enjoyably is the naut, which is mostly g10 so yeah lol, just based off of personal prefrence, also the canyon comes with everything that the vulp does if you didnt know that
I hated my vulp pro when i initially got it only because I started trying to mod mine even before Zippy had released any upgrades. So it pretty much just pissed me off after total disassembly and reassembly. HOWEVER......after getting it back together and just letting it sit and the general disappointment leave my soul for a few months, I reassessed her. And Dayuum. Not my favorite bali but a very very competent flipper. Plus the weight/width/length/dimensions in general paired with a great balance makes the Vulp Pro a joy to flip. It definitely got me back in to aluminum balis after a year on the Ti and g10 bali train
@devontaylor248 haven't handled the orion, but I do really like the trend of sandwich balis coming back into style. I've really just been waiting for them to do another cool color drop before I snag one up. One of their splash anos or something. But after snagging a few of my grails recently, the Orion may have to wait just a bit longer. But as for the Vulp Pro one of the function mods I did was put in Titanium Squid hardware to get even more neutral. I really liked it with no ass weight, but the g10 spacers were starting to fall out so I decided on Titanium on the pivots and ass. Then just to keep a little more pivot weight in I added steel Lucha washers. It feels nearly Nautilus like in the weight and balance but Kraken like in the overall hand/dimensions feel.
The problem with the original vulp , when it came out. YES. it was the BEST budget option for BEGINNER flippers , for about 2 weeks:) after that other companies started making better balanced , better grip, better tuned , better PRICED even. Maybe the vulp is good for learning chaplins , but it also causes bottleneck when u finally get a better balisong. It struggles with MOST tricks in general , and after a bit of skill progression you have no use for the vulp. Because it doesnt even hold good momentum through rollovers , its super slipprery for twirls , it only shines on ladders for me. Which is 1 trick. The most valuable part about owning a vulp is the t10 bit that comes with it. Cause youll actually get use out of it for tuning/assembling any bali.
Blade Bias is a channel that was run by two guys originally, CamaroEE (Ethan) and Telestro (Ty). Now, Ethan mostly runs the channel while Ty makes surprise cameos and or videos, like this one. As mentioned in other videos, Ty has taken a break from the community. So it's a treat that we've got multiple videos of him flipping and giving opinions on certain balisongs.
