Fantastic Haul!!! So Cool that you found all that great Gold and Sterling at such amazing prices. I wish Our thrift stores had good deals like those. My city has very few thrift stores still selling jewelry. The manager at the Salv Army is trying to totally do away with jewelry. He got rid of all the glass cases and pared down to one single rack. Jewelry is getting very hard to thrift here. Why when there is a good thing going do stores always mess it up?? Anyway I am happy for you that you did so well!!
It's getting close to impossible to make $$ at the large chain thrift stores. I used to be able, now it's so picked over by the time it hits the floor! I've had great luck at yard sales and smaller thrift stores, sometimes I have to do some driving, but it can be worth it. Of course, there are PLENTY of times I go to them and find nothing good. Sometimes I even go to the same thrift store twice a day... And still come up empty handed. That's why I really like antique auctions. There's usually great old jewelry, but the trade-off is the prices are much higher than thrifts. Well, happy hunting and thanks for watching!

Hi Sandra, I love watching your channel in Co. Galway, Ireland. I have the exact same cat bracelet which my husband bought for me as a birthday present in an antique shop in York, England. I think it’s by C. Sydney Smith Co. which operated in New York and possibly dates to the 1920s. Smith operated from 1902-1928. I’ve no idea about value because I have never seen another one for sale online. The cat earrings sometimes come up for sale and they sell for about 50 euros. I would love to know more about it!! On the Rolex back it requires a special tool to unscrew it. It fits in the square indentations. The last Rolex box I had years ago I got 30 dollars for it probably up to 40 or so today . Great stuff!

Hi Sandra! Could you please tell us anything you may know about ’Piddily Links’?
The first thing I can tell you is that Piddly Links sells pretty well for me on eBay. Their stuff has a decidedly old fashioned look and feel. They are no longer in business, but their jewelry is more modern day and not vintage. The company started out making everything by hand in their home, using antique stamping molds, which is really interesting. Their jewelry looks old, because often they used the old molds. I really love their stuff! Thanks for watching.

Isn't silver with gold called vermeil?
Yes it is. If you're referring to the ring, that is not vermeil. The silver part is 925, and the gold part is gold filled -- but the gold is not on top of the silver. The ring was made with these two different components, then they put them together. Hope that makes sense.
