Half Moon Run rocks the stage at History

- Montreal rockers @HalfMoonRun, comprising Devon Portielje, Dylan Phillips and Conner Molander, took the stage at History in Toronto to play a charged set. The band cycled between new songs such as “You Can Let Go” and “Hotel in Memphis” from its new album, Salt, as well as older tracks such as “Narrow Margins.” A lush string ensemble elevated the performance and made songs soar, entrancing the audience. “Do you know how hard it is to whistle while you’re smiling?” Portielje quipped after finishing “Everyone’s Moving Out East” as the crowd cheered. As they played “Call Me in the Afternoon,” people bounced along and yelled out the words as the band rip-roared through the track. The crowd’s palpable enthusiasm remained high all the way through the show, infusing the room with energy.

That drummer / bassist / singer is truly amazing! Although, the whole band is phenomenally talented, and full of multi-instrumentalists apparently. I recently discovered them and am very glad for it

I've seen Half Moon Run 5 times now and it never gets old, every live show is just as amazing as the one before. They have made consistently good music since their first album. Can't wait for their next show.

That was just stunning... I've been a big fan for a long time, and I have been waiting for a new well recorded live performance to be uploaded for the past 2 years, and it finally arrived. These guys are incredible. Just the three of them doing so much, so well, and the songs are so heart felt. I love HMR, and I will always say they are the most skilled multi instrumentalist band out there. The skills and execution are just unreal, nevermind that they are performing their own songs which they made. I'll say it again, I LOVE HALF MOON RUN!!!!!! Respect from South Africa
amazing to see the string section on tour for this one! Wish they came to the others. Loved their shows in Chicago and Detroit last fall!

Love this band! Saw them in Vancouver and it's mind boggling how the three of them play multiple instruments and sing at the same time. Not sure if I'm losing my mind but the drums seem out of sync with the audio on this.
No Connor playing harmonica and smacking himself in the face with it while singing together with Devon during Devil May Care? They're doing it wrong.

Pretty sure you meant to write overwhelming - I certainly was blown away by this concert - My wife and I were at this concert at History (a great venue) and loved it!
