Like the australian KW´s & Bulldogs. Great to see a Mercedes SK, too ! They were tough and real workhorses. I think this one will be a 440 V8 or a bigger one. Greetings from south Germany
Some old footage here, was with Gulf back when Peter ( Boxhead) was depot manager, they had a great crew in Wyndham, Jim was a true gentleman and Jamie a chip off the old block
Hey mate this is a fantastic channel should be more of these history of how it really was and is not like these bullshit tv shows on trucking these days
Hi. Loved the video. Just realised you have shot a truck i now own 8 seconds in. Would you have more or clearer video of it. The white and yellow mack superliner. Thankyou
I'm also from the UK @peter smith, AEC was defunct over 40 years ago. No one is using equipment that old to work on a daily basis. Same with Scammell. Dead by 1988
no such thing as bogie drive trains have bogies, trucks have tandem a huge difference, bogies have one anchor point they may have 2, 3, 4, sets of axles and why do Au truckers never use chains, beats me
Thanks guys bloodly beauty mate, fantastic viewing for this truck loving Kiwi. Subed up cheers m8. NewZealand.
Thanks Bruce, enjoyed that.
24:56 looks like it might be Russell McDonough's from Alice Springs Metal Recyclers V8 Superliner?

SK is a 2648, 480 V8 and with Fuller gearbox, not the usual EPS or ZF box.
God made one paradise AUSTRALIA Than broke the mould ,and I’m proud I’m a Aussie.
