DON'T be fooled. Houses are not affordable anywhere. Just look online at places like Lewisville, Frisco or northern Dallas. I saw a lot of listings for houses under 900 sq ft with NO garage and they start at a whopping $200,000. Ten years ago, you could get a 2 car garage and 1,200 sq feet for that much money. Not any more. I've been priced out of the market so badly that it has been three years and I still cannot afford a house. I refuse to pay $250K for a 1,000 sq ft house that doesn't even have a garage. My parents used to own a house in Irving that was barely 850 sq ft and had an ancient 2 car garage. It was listed at $185,000 when they first bought it in 2009. It was sold and then sold again, this time at a heartbreaking $390,000. Uh uh, it is NOT worth that much. It is an ergonomic disaster inside with the master closet inside a bathroom! Makes no sense at all. At the top, the staircase has a banister that unnecessarily cuts into the upper floor, making it impossible to get a queen size mattress through. It can't be done. You can only fit single beds in the bedrooms, which are all upstairs. I hated that house. It was just uncomfortable. That's how bad the housing market is in this state. Remember, I've been making calls and looking around for THREE years and still cannot find a house that I can afford.
Thanks for the tour guys! Love the Brick exterior and the hardwood floors
