I have to say, Brandon, that you are so good with Colton and are giving him some great skills, and not just learning to weld. He is learning patience, and construction, and welding, and communication, and I am sure all your followers are having a great time watching him grow up!!! He will carry these memories with him for the rest of his life. Be well, be safe, be Blessed!!!
I appreciate that Jim. I think he gives me much more in return. He's a blessing for sure. I can picture him as the type of kid that when I'm older and can't get around that he will stop by and help me out. He has a heart of gold
This is so cool. I have just now started to have my kids try to weld but I have also invited my friends to give it a try. Kind of fun to have some adult beverages, tell stories in the shop, and melt some metal... 😆
So I'm building a steam engine, come inside for lunch, turn on TH-cam to watch some steam videos and this pops up. I spend 15 minutes watching a little kid modify a kickstand! LMAO. Just makes my day, thank you!
Gorgeous to watch us older guys transferring knowledge to the younger generation. You're an excellent teacher Brandon. Young learned old done(hope my proverb is rightly written?😁😀?). Respect for all the effort you put in teaching. A promise for the future this wonderful kid. Wished I would be that smart at such a young age. Greetz from Holland.💪
Thank you Brandon, this is what being a father looks like. Parenting is tremendous work and incredibly rewarding. Thanks for showing other parents how to be present and raise up a child. Great work and great video. That son will likely someday be a great man and if a dad likely a steller one of those as well. He will also likely be an incredible contributor to those around him. As you know you aren't just teaching him mechanical skills but also countless other skills of how to be a good man. Keep up the wonderful work and never give up. From one dad to another Thank you again.
Thank you, I appreciate that. He's my Grandson but I did the same things with both of my children when they were younger. Making memories is what it's allabout :)
Oh man I had cut a piece of metal with my plasma cutter one day years ago, my son Jacob was watching and went to pick up the piece that hit the ground Brings back memories
Thanks man. Same here. My dad wasn't around much either when I was younger so I tried to give my kids, and now my grandkids the relationship I wish I had back then :)
Nice work man, to give you the pleasure of welding to your grandson and the pleasure it gives you. Colton is a smart guy who has it, you can't learn that easily, you have to have that in you and Colton has it. Nice video, nice to see and worthy of his shirt. Have a nice weekend and kind regards, Christian.
This is such a great video!! It’s very cool to see teaching him all this stuff!! It will turn him into be such a great man!! And hopefully he can use the knowledge he gained from you to teach the less fortunate!! Have a great day!! God bless!!
good video and job. you did a great job teaching him and Colton did a great job welding at 5 he may be the youngest welder ever. take care, be safe and well.
i'm so glad my father had patience to teach me like you are with your son. We didnt have a lot of tools or equiptment but most of what I know started with him. Even somethign as simple as holding the flashlight. I learned from. Oddly enough I never had patience to teach. When I retired I was head of IT dept, had to report my purchasing decisions (into tens of millions of dollars) to management team. That was the hardest part of my job was to learn to use common terms etc to explain why I needed a server with 4x 10gb fiber connections vs. 2x 2.5 gb connections due to client bandwidth limitations etc etc etc. But it was a valuable lession for me in patience and understanding. Now, at my age, people teach me things and if they use super technical language I just don't get it. You son, as i did with my father, will remember every minute of this time with you even when he is 53. You seem like a great father.
Awwww I appreciate that man!. He's actully our Grandson but he spends enough time with us that you would never know it. My dad wasn't around much when I was younger so I made it a point to try and give my kids the relationship I hoped for and now I get to have that with our Grandkids. It's an amazing feeling!
I got some catching up to do, I’ve missed a couple videos. That’s awesome man, I’m glad you’re teaching him to work with his hands. It’s a forgotten art nowadays. Not everybody is meant to be a doctor or a lawyer and some people don’t want to be a doctor or a lawyer…😂 I can tell already he’s gonna love working on stuff…💪🏼 They are fun when they’re that age…😄
You got that right. He walks arounf the house like he's a big man flexing his "big muscles" LOL. Seems like yesterday we were changing his diaper now he's a young boy.
It is impressive to watch him at his age seeing him figure out how pick up That first cut piece with the needle nose pliers. He is a smart young man. Wonderful job Grand dad! You are and outstanding stand teacher too! 😁🛫 I was a father for the first time that I knew of at age 39! My son and I would be out somewhere and people would say to me cute grand son. Thinking I was the grandfather. That’s ok? We are very close today and he is 27 years old and an Engineer!

A Great Father’s Day video! Your son is so adorable! And he has great role models! Thanks for sharing! 👌👍
Thank you so much! He's my Grandson Rudy, but I'll take that compliment any say :)

I warned him but it bit him. Luckily it wasn't super hot, just hot enough to leave some muscle memory for next time.
This warmed my heart. Outstanding work!
Thank you!
Good job Colton
Families are priceless. I wish I had someone to teach me when I was young great job. I appreciate all your videos. I have a great weekend.
Thanks man. Same here. My dad wasn't around much either when I was younger so I tried to give my kids, and now my grandkids the relationship I wish I had back then :)
Great job Colton!!! That feller deserves a raise.
Hahahahaha he sure does! That "raise" will probably be in the form a dirtbike LOL
WOW -- What a fantastic father you are! World Class!
Thanks man! He's actually my Grandson but he's with my wife and I that we could probably call him ours LOL
Good looking helper you have there, Brandon. He'll be out welding you before long.
He will for sure...and I'm ok with that 🥰
I wish my dad would have taken the time when I was young. Great was to form a life time bond that he will always remember.
Same here man. I tried to give my kids and now grandkids the relationship I wish i had growing up.

You have more patience than i do but then again I don't have grand children either.
It's easy with him. He's like a sponge when it comes to learning.
I think Calton is a better welder than you and me put together, keep dragging rod Calton 👍🏻
I agree! :)
@wthe1st this reminds me of you.

why is it spelled weldor and not welder?
Good question 🤔....I will have to ask....
