Before I got into the furry community I thought it was just a bunch of weird people with weird suits. I'm watching this now and I'm amazed by the love and effort that are put into the making of these fursuits and protogen suits. I'm loving this!

You can maka a protogen out of foam too
They can be make from foam too! Ventilation isn’t as good but they look super sweet.
Maybe you can search up tutorials on programming LED's?
I mean, if you are too lazy for the leds you can just do yellow "or whatever colour you are in love with" marker dots with the expression of it.

Wow what a nice I would also like to have fursuit protogen but for now i make normal species wolves, dogs helped me a lot with their tutorials on paws or tiger tail

This is amazing! Finally a tutorial on how to make these! I also have a question, are fursuit heads claustrophobic in your opinion? I’ve always been interested in wearing and possibly making a fursuit head in the future, but I’ve read things that say people panic when putting on a fursuit head.
People with claustrophobia may feel suffocated when they put on the head, or people get anxious when their vision is handicapped, or some other reasons that i may not know of.
If you are claustrophobic but you still really want a suit then you would have to try and get used to the added weight, small space, etc.
Quite a few people, however, find wearing fursuit heads comfortable and comforting. You can see if it would be too much for you by trying one on, or at least wearing something that gives somewhat of the same effect (besides style) to give yourself a general idea of how you would feel.
I kinda have claustrophobia but I am making a protogen that can fit glasses
I have never worn a head but from an outside perspective it seams like it would be similar to a motorcycle helmet

I don't find mine claustrophobic, the panic is from handicapped vision and trouble breathing
Everyone's so awesome and able to make cool stuff like this, then there's me like, "I'll never have this much talent, let alone the money all this must cost."

Yeah it is a bit expensive. It's only about 300-400 just for the plastic base for the head. The LED's are about 60-80. The whole head will run about 600-650 from scratch if you want to make one
I was Planning on making a protogen head and this just motivated me to thank the lords to having an engineer of a farther to help me

A lot of people are complaining about the price being too high for the quality of the 3D printed base, but I am just amazed it even exists in the first place!

I still don't get the part of making a tape pattern for the fur, like, you tape it and draw separated chuncks like a puzzle to put the fur?
Yes, right like that! During this step you should draw on any markings, too. Taping to pattern makes sure you get the right sizes and pieces of fur, so when you cut it you won't mess up as easily. Make sure to mark what pieces connect to what pieces too so you don't accidentally sew things together wrong!
