As a former mk2 182 owner and current mk3 197 owner (prefer the front end of the 197 to the rs) these are my favourite hatchback. Loud, aggressive and just gorgeous 🥰
197 is pre facelift? I also prefer the look of pre facelift front end and it is one of my favourite hatchbacks in terms of design. The added power on this one makes it a proper weapon.

@@Know3ody Well, it's a fair bit of money on top of general maintenance and that probably brings it close to megane 3 money. I also really like the meg 3 design although it has a bit of a fat ass and is pretty heavy. A lot of pros and cons to weigh. Still a great car out of the box 🙂
But now , they have become collectors ....I already bought a Twingo Rs , next one is a Clio Rs by the end of the year . They are still plenty for sale here in France & not too expensive . 😊
Sadly, CAFE regulations (CO2 emissions of the full range above a value = massive fines per gram) made it difficult for economy car manufacturers to include these big engines car in their range. Premium’s can just put it in the price of the car.

Even now I struggle with a lot of things. But my daughter's boyfriend recently purchased a 2017 Civic with 330 bhp. I asked him if he'd like to go to the NBring next year and he said yes! Mischa, I hope you'll be there that day next year so I can hartily shake your hand and thank you for reviving the racer in me. I even bought a new wheel to practise on Assetto Corsa. This has given me new hope for myself and for the first time since ages I am feeling some form of happiness in me.

I built a box for my fuel pump in last track car, put loft insulation and some carpet underlay, then egg boxes and finally some firewall. Did the trick.
@@DaEVOthefreak Yeah, I know forced induction puts more stress on the engine. I am referring to the sound it makes in stock form. Like the S54, it sounds tinny and raspy as the revs pile on. Not nice. With forced induction, it makes it sound smoother and arguably better.
Is amazing seeing how is can handle every car he drives…and incredible how he beat any more powerful cars also with a lot of hp less only with his experience and skill… Of course he drives on this circuit every day until many years ago but is gorgeous to see
Owned many of these MK3's, lovely from factory, even better with some work. F4R engine and box are a bit brittle, so rebuild them in time and take good care of them. Fun guaranteed!
There are various types of thermostats open at different temperatures of coolant, if you need to cool engine temperature early, buy one with a low Celsius degree open thermostat. For my Punto HGT with the engine modified, I have to change the thermostat from 89c to 83c to prevent overheating.

Looks like it’s the pinch bolt from the steering column to the steering rack. Usually covered by a rubber boot but clearly been removed to save weight/gain access easier

ALL the last videos, the sound of engine are very very very low when watching on the phone. Not only this video, I mean ALL. Should fix it. The conversation are louder than engine noise.

Finally some boost on the clio 3. It sounds stressed in stock form but with boost, it just sings and goes like it should. Solid lap.

this is coolant overheating, not charge air. Clio cooling system is very efficient, you can see how quickly the temps drop once he gets off the gas.
Not only is it fast, it also barely uses any fuel!

Man, if you're going to have a surge tank in the car, you should really have some type of firewall to separate you from it.
Awesome clio but what I don't understand that if you have everything set up for the track why are the wheels still rubbing in the arches.....
Maybe set up for driver only and extra weight of passenger causes the rubbing?
