I checked the chart; the smallest size with E depth is in the 10-1/2 to 11 range. 17 only gets as shallow as C. Your comment reminded me of the coffee can comparison I heard in college. I bought a few mouthpieces since this video, from the tank of a 1 to the needle’s-eye 20C. A comparison will come soon. I find the larger mouthpieces handy on notes below low F#.
