Great video! I decided to try these after watching your reviews. Got the black suede ADV model and have skated them a few times now-really liking them. Might try the stock version next.
You gotta check out the all-black suede adidas "PRO Model" (mid-top version of the 'superstar') that they are selling at CCS- snag a pair while you can. By the way- Adidas does make the Superstar ADV. The ADV tag indicates its a skate specific (skate adjusted by adidas) model.
Great review! I have skated several pair and I honestly enjoyed the regular superstar more than the superstar ADV (the skate shoe version). The og pair wear out faster, but felt like they molded better to my feet than the ADV which was more stiff. If you haven’t tried the superstar ADV though I’d recommend giving them a try and seeing what you think!
Back in the days we had almost no access to skate shoes where I am from so we used what we got, basketball, tennis shoes then trying different ones: running, football, sailing(surprisingly good). I've skated without any "board feeling" for decades, think Reebok classics. Thanks to "fashion trends" now you can find a shoe that will be decent for skateboarding nearly anywhere.
I have a white one with black stripes and it's my favorite daily shoe. I'd want to try a black and white one for skateboarding one day. I always thought of how durable the toe cap would be on these. Btw great flatground session. I liked the 360's you did. I am trying to make them more consistent myself.
If the superstars are as durable as the ones I wore 25 years ago, they could probably be good for skating as well. I remember that they were also comfortable. But will today's quality be the same as it was 20 years ago?
I remember my friend would always skate some regular tennis reeboks, so I’m sure there’s a bunch of regular shoes out there that would make great skate shoes, just gotta put ‘em to the test I guess lol
I’m always confused when trying to buy super stars. Like do they have a specific ones for skateboarding or is it just super stars and just super stars??
Before adidas hit the skate world I tried them but just didn’t feel right now 2024 i guess there skate able now lol but super stars always been a hip hop staples like almost a trophy 🏆. But hey it’s 2024 and kids these days are like robots
I got the blue adv suede version and walked around them for a like 4 weeks and finally got to skate them 2 days ago. They skated great for a first session but I tend to do lots of heeflips... I only did 5 and the heelfip section already ripped. I didnt even land any as well :(. is this normal or is it because i got the suede version?
bro you look so much like my dealer its crazy
@@lour8862 😂 that's dope
Adidas should be paying you bro. I don’t even like Adidas but you’re making me want to try a pair

the differences between the ADV and the original are almost non existant
@@fernandoreyes680 yeah, yeah- it may be marketing but Adidas still chooses to have these fall under the aegis of their skate line.
I’m 100% with you and skating superstars for 2 1/2 years only
Feel you G!

Great skate shoe, i recommend trying the stock stan smith's if you like the superstars
How is the sizing on these normal Superstars, say compared to like a vans era/oldskool?
@@TPB-pm1ts Identical to Vans in my experience. No sizing change.

@@MANNIE408 anywhere that sells them are the correct pair imo. These are a regular pair.

thats normal. I do lots of heelflips too. use super glue on the seams to prevent that.
How long did it take to make superstar tear or rip off? I am deciding buy too.
@@TheethadP about 3 weeks every other day use. Mine last up to 1.5 months. Extreme glue on the seams before first use helps
Hey @liam_dawson how tall are you? You look tall & the taller skaters have the best steez in my opinion. Great Style!
6 feet tall enough for steez ! I like that opinion thank you
