I have an old man who's helping me. He is a fighter jet testpilot and he and his crew do things like that. He has a second rc plane & helicopter job which is just designing, building, repairing which most would declare trash and instructs both props, turbines aswell as helis. I got the idea of the lights from a short video of a guy who built his own Airbus A330 who added the lights. He used 2 JC P80turbines and landed it in the evening. It looked like the real thing.
i like the way you fly this Airbus A380-900 rc model i have got an rc mpdel but it isnt so BIG and ... good lol and guys it isnt the fault of the guy that has the airplane it is the fault of the guy that has the camera ...
Okay, I shan't argue with your story about the black box. But my airbus a380 will have all the details which you see outside of the real plane and what they do, even the autopilot. Sometime during April I'll have my autopilot. The whole plane is mostly carbon fiber and plywood with 4 JC P100rx turbines. I use smaller ones to prevent it from being too big. It is very light and very strong. I'm still working on the timing of the lights flickering and the flaps' extension.
@simio1337 either way, Reinhard installed two receiving units operating parallel with each other simultaneously, just in case. A model of this size would be deadly if it lost flight control. and for disclosure, i fly both.
@bongose 2.4Ghz has less range and is susceptible to multi-pathing on huge planes no matter how many satellites you put it can lose connection and potentially lock out. With 72Mhz you can have a 6ft antenna and fly out of visual range. The choice is clear.
Awesome construction.. one thing what should have been included was a retractable landing gear.. the landing gear down while flying take the beauty away from it
I must admit I'm somewhat intrigued (if a little sceptical) by the details of this aircraft you are building. Given that you do not seem to understand the difference between a navigation system and a flight recorder, I would question your experience, and your ability to operate an aircraft of the type you describe, but I'll be happy to be proved wrong. Perhaps you could upload a video showing the progress of the build?
diese flugzeug ist ein bischen mehr instabil wie das flugzeug von peter michel nicht? oder ist das nür zu weiten am das pilot :) ? wie dan auch, fantastische video, das gibt nich viel hier im holland glaube ich
concorde232: The landing wasn't really all that bad. The approach, however, well, let's just say I've been on some approaches very similar to that and they are not the least bit enjoyable!! LOL!!
There's a reason the builder did not install some of those things - weight - what is the point of installing a black box? (and btw GPS is nothing to do with the black boxes/flight recorders, it is a satellite navigation system)
You know I've been researching about those aircraft in internet for 5 months and I have never found any web store... I'm very interested to get that aircraft or the Airbus A340-600. Do you know who manufacture those airplanes? so I can make contact and can order one. I have only found one web store, Set Thrust, but they don't manufacture with Turbines, they do it with EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) and I'm interested with Turbines. Thank you very much for your time. PD: thank you for your quick reply
You don't get such a thing anywhere. He build it himself. About 2000 working hours, 23.000€ material costs with the engines being already for free as marketing. They are made in Czech Republic and cost about 3000€ each!
Can't the plane's wheels pull up, or is he too afraid to pull them up. I intend to design and build my own one but it'll have many of the things with it which this guy failed to add, missed or forgot about. Things such as the lights, the camera in the fin, the main fans in the front of the engine which drive the plane (the real one) on, blades bent exactly in the same form as the real plane's, the GPS (black box), wing flap extentions and airbrakes.
Of course the builder would probably never sell it (unless for financing an even more insane model) but I wonder what he would earn on an international ebay auction. It did cost him 23.000€ and the turbines are 3000€ each - he got them for free as marketing for the manufacturer. 2000 hours of work did sink into that thing. Even with the minimal basic wage + very low employment costs calculated it would cost about 20.000€ alone for the hours in Germany. For a skilled technician way more. So this thing is worth roughly 50.000€ - but since you can't ever buy such a thing and always have to make it yourself or let someone do it it's worth even more again. Someone rich who want it as a toy for a spoiled kid or to brag or just because he is fascinated could easily pay more. Interesting question what the marked would give for such a thing. Depends on the interested buyers I guess.
ARE YOU BORED OF NOT BEING ABLE TO CROSS THE STREET LIKE OTHER NORMAL ANTS? NOW YOU WONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT ANYMORE, BECAUSE NOW THERE IS THE ANTBUS A380! YOU CAN NOW CROSS THE STREET AND NOW EVEN CRUSH THE CARS FOR A CHANGE IN OUR LUXURY PLANES! ANTBUS: COME FLY WITH US!
@JanitorIsBack Why is that lame? Huge incredibly realistic plane and a beautiful flight, yet you choose to be insulting over one small detail... Lame....
the pilot can´t fly. very sad. or the model is at all very unstable in the air. so i would say assamble gyro systems for every rudder so the flight will look much more stable and nice like the real one
Maybe just think of how light it is. It is somewhat large but belown100kg. The turbines are light and there is very few fuel compared to the original (it lasts for 20minutes). It is like a paper plane on steroids. You can't expect it to fly like the original with a weight over 560 tons.
Wizards, engineers, congratulations on such a beautiful airplane
VERY GOOD - looks like the real plane flying!
Wooow! Just wow!
As always, another great video!
I've never liked the look of the A380 but incredible craftsmanship!
Das Flugzeug ist riesig! Einfach nur toll!
Awesome!!!! Thanks for sharing!
Glenn B check this out. Amazing model.
Love it.... More please

awesome plane and nice video but landing was a little hectic...
Really cool!
Seems like the front wheel didn't go up totally. It also looked a bit "wind nervous", but absolutely a VERY Nice BIG model! :) Amazing and good drive!
Amazing I wish I could have one
Fabulous , what a plane ... Little to powerful , needs to work more like the real one
amazing... it looks really difficult to land!
Amazing.

WoE!!! That's big....

Impresionante...!!

Was wondering when you'd notice that. Thanks and your welcome. Greetings from the land of corn :) LOL
its irony..and you cannot explain other's people kind of hapiness when they got it.. as simple as that..
Home Depot. Lots of styrofoam, sand paper, files, and fiberglass resin. 3 years later, vwalla you have an rc airbus A380
Beautiful model. Appears to be a bit tail heavy.
diese flugzeug ist ein bischen mehr instabil wie das flugzeug von peter michel nicht?
oder ist das nür zu weiten am das pilot :) ?
wie dan auch, fantastische video, das gibt nich viel hier im holland glaube ich
just imagine if a real A380 landed like that!! the people on board would be crapping themselves!!
brilliant model! need to work on the landing though.... :)
Nice model jet. If I may, what kind of engines were those?
wery good
Thank god its an rc.
muy bueno
concorde232: The landing wasn't really all that bad. The approach, however, well, let's just say I've been on some approaches very similar to that and they are not the least bit enjoyable!! LOL!!
That thing takes as much fuel as my car!
did you practically build this by scale or you bought the package?
대박이다!! (ㅠ_ㅠ) 이건 정말...!!

@b101aa2
Where on earth did you get this and how much did it cost?
It's great by the way! Very good!
luckily this site you can buy the same size as the plane of such a thing is possible trendtimes
Where on earth did you get the landing gear or did you have it made for you.
where can you buy an rc model like this in this size cuzz i cant find a site or addres :(
amazin
97kg WOW
@StinkPirate what word are you having trouble with?
Why didn't the nose gear retract?
where can i buy it at? if its for sale
were do u et such big planes plz tell me
wahnsinns gerät, aber umso trauriger zu hören/sehen, wie sie beim Landen mit den linken Turbinengehäusen auf dem Asphalt zuerst aufsetzt :(...
tro bien
where I can get a small plane like this
the model's wing is probably more structurally sound then the real plane. LOL!
You know I've been researching about those aircraft in internet for 5 months and I have never found any web store... I'm very interested to get that aircraft or the Airbus A340-600. Do you know who manufacture those airplanes? so I can make contact and can order one.

OMG,.. this is fucking Amazing - I fucking Love It!!!!!
Where can I buy one??
Where did you buy this plane? :o
tell me where Can I get the A380 planes please
Man that was not a smooth flight or pilot..Very sharp and tight turns on such a big jet and pushing the nose down to land.. glad it turn out ok.
Where did you get it

absolutely
DEAR SANTA.........
Where was the sound on start up :(
it has the winglets upside down...
You ask, Why would anyone spend that much money to fly an RC plane, simple, cuz some people have it and some don't :)
Can't the plane's wheels pull up, or is he too afraid to pull them up. I intend to design and build my own one but it'll have many of the things with it which this guy failed to add, missed or forgot about. Landing is not that good, but still land safely....
this guy is not flying on 2.4Ghz with this model!!!
it's like digging your own grave...
no pilot,no,people,no flight controller,not rc model,RESULT : BOOM!
Of course the builder would probably never sell it (unless for financing an even more insane model) but I wonder what he would earn on an international ebay auction.

the last thing that airplane acts like is a toy
@JanitorIsBack
Why is that lame?
Huge incredibly realistic plane and a beautiful flight, yet you choose to be insulting over one small detail...
Lame....
this plane for sale is trendtimes
What?! Why would anyone spend that much money to fly an RC plane, when you can get an actual pilot's license for a fraction of that price?
the pilot can´t fly. very sad. or the model is at all very unstable in the air. so i would say assamble gyro systems for every rudder so the flight will look much more stable and nice like the real one

@JanitorIsBack
What?
Explain yourself.
