Glorious display of Quality cricket. Vengsarkar’s classy stroke production & Viswanath’s wristy elegance were the hallmark of contemporary test cricket.
Viswanath was a class act. On his day, both his timing and the time he seemed to have to play a wide range of attacking shots, (including deft and delicate deflections), were remarkable. As a spectator you wanted - even willed - him to do well.
Sir Its common Vishy has always helped India on crisis. His removal from team was a political game by his brother in law sunil marathi bakwas admi joki selfish hai. Bakwas insaan hai ye marathi apne brother in law ko bhi kaat dhiya. Nikamma marathi
Richie Benaud, in every other respect a model of calm, wry, authority as a cricket broadcaster, used to froth at the mouth every time a spectator came on to the cricket field to congratulate a batsman on a century. He never criticised the cricket authorities for permitting it.
Sir, Please DONT upload thoes videos which are broadcasted by ZEE or Sony, they will straight away claim copyright and we will loss ur PRECIOUS channel right away.
Dilip Vengsarkar was a class batsman & certainly one of the best Indian batsmen. He had all the strokes at his disposal & was really unstoppable when in zoom. Could have played a little longer.
Vishwanath is a great player a delite to watch him. I saw him at Kanpur against the mighty AUSTRALIA scoring his maiden test hundred 124 in the year 1959. Ramchand was captain. It was the first ever victory over Australia. The match lasted for 3
Your details are incorrect. Vishwanath made his debut in 1969, not in 1959. He scored 137 in the second innings, not 124. Captain was Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi. The match had ended in a draw. In the 1959 Kanpur test, no batsman had scored century. Vishwanath was 10 years old in 1959.

One legend was born that day. Another reinforced his status.
The pair converted a possible consecutive innings defeat into a heroic draw.
