*Lyrics* I had dream 'bout world didn't seem right If I'm boy or girl, if I'm sun or the heart Wear flowers on the head, bare-naked under bed In paper clothes, out she goes Peek to see how whirlwind grows If I stand too far just what am I to hear If I laugh too hard just how would you believe? Cause I came so close Thought I brushed your nose Every minute Fell like music Yea I came so close You thought I crushed your toes Like a whirlwind Everything swings If time won't bend at the speed of light I wonder my God where you are now Cause I hate to see you walk away From a past you swayed You're doubting you love me now How heaven can love you now If I stand too far just what am I to hear If I laugh too hard just how would you believe? Cause I came so close Thought I brushed your nose Every minute Fell like music Yea I came so close You thought I crushed your toes Like a whirlwind Everything swings Oh I was just sweating that seven-to-five Wasting my days like you are now And I hate to see you pave your way In a past I swayed You're doubting you love me now How heaven can love you now Alternatively, turn on captions (CC) and enjoy the lyrics on screen! Undoubtedly Halehan has talent - lots of it. I do have one qualm however. I find the lyrics overwritten, almost verbose. I am a firm believer in less is more. One actually stops listening to the words and hoping for more music. So sorry - but this is just my own humble opinion. For some reason I seldom get a response from you so if you would prefer that I rather not comment I will certainly understand and unsubscribe. I am by nature analytical but at the same time try to share constructive points of view.
Hey Danie! Thanks for your feedback and thoughts on this track (as well as on all the others before!), I highly appreciate it. I love reading every single comment and enjoy seeing different points of view on the same piece of art. Unfortunately, I can't reply to most comments anymore just because I don't have the time. It's tough to explain, but managing a channel, trying to do everything correctly and keeping an overview of everything is getting more and more demanding. I'd love to encourage my subscribers to have actual conversations among each other but TH-cam's comment section doesn't seem to be the best place for that. As a consequence, I'll be using the "heart" option only on selected, track or channel related comments from now on to make them stand out and have that value.
@@ApeironSoundSincere thanks for the detailed explanation, the contents of which have been noted. I know where you are coming from. It does beg the question however, if no feedback is received from the uploader, is there then any real point in commenting ? I have a large number of uploaders I (for want of a better word) "nurture" who always offer meaningful ""shares" despite being, inter alia, final year medical students or concert pianists. I read in one of your comments you are also busy with studies. As a person with two masters degrees under his belt, I can relate, and wish you everything of the best and God speed with whatever keeps you so busy. :D :))
@@danieburger5290 Haha, thank you so much! I absolutely understand that I mean that's what I also do/did. However, I've always wanted to turn the comment section to something "bigger", I wanted it to be a place for actual conversations among all those individuals that clicked on the notification. I know that it's tough since it is "only" a music (re)upload, but seeing such great, growing and developing communities such as Yes Theory always makes me wonder why people don't connect over music. A festival is usually the best place to meet people because you are sharing the same interest, so why not the comment section? I am actually thinking about a Discord or Slack server where people can write and chat with each other about those uploads, but not sure if that would be well received.
Hey man, I would have had a hard time hearing that when Id just written it, but now looking back you are totally right. I spent a while looking for answers in a very rational analytical way and it translated in the use of words. Lately Ive started realising I find much more in feeling and indeed in simple words reflecting that. Especially in song form like you say the kind of writing doesn't help diving in. I agree with you, I guess it was part of something I had to understand. I hope you'll see the progress in my upcoming music though! Thanks for the feedback and honesty ;)
@@ApeironSound Sorry for the delayed reply. Off - line for 14hrs+. Sometimes happens in this neck of the woods! I hear you re: Yes Theory or Discord/Slack server and agree with the basic premise but may be too radical for your followers. My perception is that for quite a number English is not their first language hence the one-word, seemingly inane comments. What happened between you, me and Halehan excites me; a promising beginning of something that could become exhilarating. I don't envisage high level intellectual discussions but an honest sharing of thoughts/views at times to stimulate further exploration. What has always saddened me about the comments sections of the YT channels is the lack of objective discussion; as soon as a person feels challenged or disagrees with a comment the snarky bitchy mode kicks in which leaves such an incredibly bad taste in the mouth. The classical music channels are the worst, the absolute pits. One would think in those instances you are dealing with refined, cultured people. Not so. Meanness and absolute pettiness reigns supreme. Hissing and spitting Iike feral cats. Most of the uploaders I follow don't seem to mind "lengthy" comments; in fact they encourage it (for obvious reasons). It would be nice if your followers would interact but somehow I don't think that's going to happen . . . As a closing thought. I have always liked the saying: we can agree to disagree without being disagreeable. Till next time (hopefully).
