It was one of the first things we bought. Hard to "imagine" going without it. The tire pressure monitoring system was the next thing. Absolutely worth it's weight in gold. Warns you of a disaster BEFORE its too late.
Got one a month ago. Very glad I returned the TadiBrothers. The HaloView has much greater resolution than the TB. I bought the premium commercial TB system; it had fewer features, less clear monitor resolution and was twice the price.
How's this camera system holding up? I just bought a 2021 grand design imagine travel trailer. Because of your video I want to purchase this product. I figured I'd ask how it's holding up before I hit but it now.
👋 Good video. So u didn't need to run hard wire all the way to the camera it's 100% wireless right? Video and audio look/sounded very good. How long is ur rig? How is it holding up since the install?
I tore the back off of my overly long Grand Design 315 because of swing-out of the tail. I can't tell if you can avoid hitting a fence or tree on the driver's side when making a right turn? May require looking at the very few side camera options. Thoughts?
Did you used the Furrion power cord or wire it to the running light above the housing?... If you used the Furrion power cord where does the power come from? RV house battery, running light or backup light?
Great video. I just purchased a Solitude that I will take delivery of early next spring. I. Have decided to skip the dealer offered backup camera and go with the Halo. My rig is also pre wired exactly as yours for the Furion. Couple questions: how long is your rig? Mine is 42 feet and I was concerned that mounting like you did, below the roof line, would limit the range. Second, could you show a picture of the final camera installed? I didn’t see in the video a shot of what it looked once you finished with all the final tucking of wires and positioning of the camera. Thanks again and happy to be one of your new subscribers.
The travel trailer is 32ft overall. It was about 50' from the truck cabin. I think mounting higher is better, because you do get more range and can play with the optimal angle for your needs. I'll see if we have the pictures on our hard drive so you can see the end result. Did you buy the Haloview or something else yet?
Trading Traveler I pick up my rig at the beginning of May when the snow is hopefully gone in NY therefore, I haven’t purchased the Halo yet but that is the one I have my eye on. I like the ability to stay on full time while we drive, the larger screen, and the ability with SD card to record overlapping video.
I bought the 7108 for my Coleman Light TT which also has the Furrion mount on the back. But the camera is so heavy, I'm concerned about the screws pulling out of the fiberglass when the trailer bounces on a rough road. Has your mount held on?
Thanks for your video, I was going to buy a back-up camera for my XLS and was curious if something other than a furion would mount up to the housing. Are you satisfied with your purchase after a couple months? I have a license plate mounted camera on my truck and was wondering if the MC7108 would recognize its frequency and seamlessly connect to it. Would certainly beat having 2 separate monitors & switching back and forth.
I'm really not sure if they would connect, but have found their customer support to be very responsive. I would definitely check there. As for us, we've had no issues!
Its a RAM 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel. We love it, it was night and day difference from a half ton truck. If you're pulling this size travel trailer I think it's necessary, especially for mountains. Did you have any other specific questions?
Great how to video! I am considering the Haloview system for my new 2019 Rockwood that also has the Furrion mount pre-wired on the back. Do you think that the Haloview camera mount could be mounted onto the Furrion cover so that you would not have to drill new holes in the fiberglass?
I don't think so. You can mount the bracket, but with the wires and the way the camera is angled was too tight. You may be able to modify the bracket, but that would take some cutting/modifying the furion mount. This is assuming you have the same mount... most that I have seen are really similar. I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions. If you do decide on it, please consider using our link! amzn.to/2FsLyyE It helps us to keep going and doesn't cost you any extra!
The angle is adjustable according to the user's preference. For parking, the bumper view may be better. For rear view while driving, the higher view would work.
Don't let your wife stand behind your rig while backing, especially with a hard building behind her...more then 1 person has been crushed doing that...safety first always
You believe that the 12 volt wires are there...........for a WIRELESS camera?????????????? Fuggidaboudit ! I'm searching for something strange - a WIRELESS camera that is WIRELESS.
cruz47144 you clearly didn’t listen to the video where Charlie states that his dad helped with the install. But thanks for taking the time to comment on this video 🙄
They advertise 1080, except it doesn't record in 1080 if you have all 4 cameras recording, the actual recording is more like 480. It WILL Not loop record, the memory card has to be reformatted to be able to record over it, which means you have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA when it stops recording wile you're driving. This thing is ONLY good for a backup camera (not recording) and thats it. You email their customer service about it and they want your order number the date and time you ordered it and your name before they can even answer simple questions. I told them it was not recording and they actually wanted me to send them video of it NOT recording.......how exactly do you do that?

Ford Fan so true! I can’t believe we went without it for so long!
Very nice backup camera. Good job showing us the install and actual usage.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :-)

That's crazy!! Glad to hear the Haloview worked out for you as well!
They sell a bracket for the furrion Mount
They make a furrion bracket and wire adapter

Great video and the backup camera is very cool
How's it holding up after 3 years? Did you put any kind of sealant over the screws? Has there been any water penetration through those holes?
Got a 5" Furion "observation" Camera.. works great... waited on eBay found one brand new for $360.00.. Good camera...
Hey there!!! I know its been awhile since you posted this video. Would you still recommend this Backup camera??
Did you ever do the video on the cell booster install?

Kenneth Beauchamp i have the same furrion it has several vertical adjustment points after mounting. mike works fine.
How long were the screws you used?

How do your Ram truck? Can you tell us some of the specs and what you do and do not like about it? Thanks!

Close up would be great can’t see that far away
i don't see where you put the antenna for the camera -
I got also one from Amazon for my 23 ft RV didn't work. How much you paid for yours.Your camera different and the monitor bigger...
Did u tie the camera into your running lights?
Yes!

@@Tradingtraveler Thanks for the reply. I found that Haloview now offers a Furrion adapter mounting plate and plug.
Ray Calandra oh nice!
Don’t really like the angle I would prefer to be able to see the bumper of my trailer

Never trust any review where they get the product for free.
Great video except at the end when she is standing directly behind the rig with nowhere to go if something happens

See the Haloview Handy 7
What a fake. Look at screen 3:08 this guy had someone else do the install. I guess two wires are just to confusing for some people :^(

I'm dying here. You really cracked the case wide open with your internet sleuthing. Well job buddy :)
Great video Trading Traveler
The camera system is total trash, don't waste your money.
