I really like most of the rat rods, and will build one soon, but some of these don't seem to be road worthy, so the newest class should be. RAT TRAPS !!!
The Idea of what the so called "RatRod"is and the videos showing them has become such a joke. RatRod has become nothing more than a TREND for weekend warriors and reality tv shows for the most part anymore. 12000 dollars worth of engine, 5000 dollars worth of crappy bodywork trying to make something look like something it's not. 10000 dollars in rubber and rims. A stupid ass logo on the side saying petes motorworks or something equally cringy. I watch these vids because every now and then you see an actual RatRod in one of them. Something built by some good ol boys with what they had laying around and some good ol ingenuity and it ends up looking badass and cool as fuck. Too bad this became such a trend and those days are over. Anyone agree or is it just me. Let me know with a comment. I'm pasting this comment on a few of these vids because I want to know what people think.
A True rat Is something a Guy Ona Budget makes From Whats laying Around Or He Finds Ona Tight Budget. Too Many Richie rich-es doing $$$ Exhibitionism Of Which If They (He or She) Builds It themselves, Then It is a Creation Of Desire. Rat has a Loose Definition per se. Yet Even A Richie rat show is BETTER Than a Detroit Show Room By a Long Shot

I agree to a point. But… also think anyone that builds and preserves these vehicles is a win!! To many classic vehicles ended up in the scrap pile!!
