I literally prayed to hear this song off wishful thinking - didn’t think they’d do this for a Chicago show. But to have heard it for the first time at what would be my last Dead & Co show was one of the most profound experiences I could imagine. Chills.

Thanks for capturing this. I was much further away so seeing that closing solo from your spot and the happy crowd after was a incredible 🙌.

I made two of the Folsom shows. The 2nd set on July 2nd, plus the entire July 3rd show (amazing show too, Dave Mathews appearance, drones, etc). But Morning Dew was the pinnacle for me. Bob singing an emotional song soulfully, and John’s solo starting at 9:10, ramping to his crescendo sent chills down my spine. He lit it up! En fuego. 🔥🔥🔥 The whole stadium seemed so amped and blown away. What a vibe. This one goes down for me as one of my favorite live songs and solos. So grateful for the experience live…

Phenomenal! Interesting though, it seems John was playing more of Hendrix style than a Jerry style in the solos. I still love it, but 77 Morning Dews have been my jam all spring and summer, which are obviously difficult to live up to. Those solos have a particular formula and flavor to them. This is an excellent performance though. Thank you for uploading!

Can't understand how people listen to a buildup into a solo this epic and still hate on JM

its a killer solo. but played in a hendrix blues hybrid rathe than the delicate arpeggiated jerry style. but this one was pretty sweet

John Mayer had really Stepped it UP!! He deserves a louder Mike...PLEASE!

From teeny pop to Jerry Rock, Mayer’s stock has gone parabolic.

@@mulefan74nah, more of an Eddie Hazel style…I can dig it.

@tomgscott68 Thanks for all the D&CO videos of the final tour! What was your favorite show?

      Glad you’ve enjoyed them!
Although I’m really indifferent to Dave Mathews, I’d have to say Night 3 at Folsom was probably my personal favorite & gave me a little appreciation for Dave. Was not disappointed in any of the 5 shows of this Tour that I saw between Boulder & San Francisco
