Why is this only avaliere as a subscription? Also why is this getting delivered in Plastic and why are so few vegan meals? Even if I wanted this I can't because I am in the EU, but these are things why I wouldn't buy it. Here we also have a better solution for this called Löwenanteil. There you can just buy a meal without any subscription, everything is delivered in glass jars and most of it is vegan.

A irrelevant little fact about the game Doors is that the main idea (opening doors and entering random rooms each time, while surviving from hostile entities) is heavily inspired by Rooms. It looks like a game that came from 2014, which I believe is scarier and harder than Doors, due to the eerie atmosphere, lack of sound, doors going up to 1000 and fast entities. It can get extremely boring though.

The creators of DOORS had another game before it, "Find the Trollfaces". People spent LOTS of money (and I mean lots) on Find The Troll Faces and then when the developers didn't want to make it anymore, they shut down Find The Trollfaces and everyone lost their money and made DOORS instead. It is for this reason that I boycott DOORS.

Roblox suffers from the cronic issue of "I could make a good game with passion, or I can get rich", and 99% of developers choose door #2.
It's a shame not all of these actually good passion projects become popular like Doors did... in fact hardly any of them do, because they end up overshadowed by generic mind-numbing simulator #91855 (Now with pets!).

    • @Lord_Cummus

There's a game me and my friend regularly play on called RO-BOTS and the solo dev chose door number 1. There are a few purchases but they're so cheap, i think i saw one for like 25 robux. Genuinely nice guy, also adds updates and generally has actual passion in his game. (I believe there was an update yesterday or a day ago). It's worth checking out, basically like RO-BIO but remastered. It's worth checking out even if it's not your preference.

NO ONE gets rich off Roblox except Roblox, that's a fact. However, I imagine you can make a bit of a living off of it if you are on the front page. Sadly, a lot of teen developers are taken advantage of by these "development teams" (see: scummy 20-something year olds getting kids to do their bidding) and are underpaid, _not_ paid (paid with "exposure"), overworked, or publicly blamed.

One thing not mentioned here that I find interesting. There have been cases, past and present, where a creator on Roblox gets fed up with Roblox and goes on to remake their idea on a different platform. The Dead Zone is I think the most famous case of this, where their game was copied and reproduced several times and Roblox did nothing about it. The creator of The Dead Zone went on to make Unturned, which is a moderately successful game on Steam.

Incredible video. you gave Roblox credit where it’s due, but also touched on a lot of the problems that really bog down the site.
TH-camrs like me and a lot of my friends try to be very critical of roblox in our vids to motivate them to change stuff. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Pet Sim X is one that many of us have made videos on, and discussed the horrible manipulative practices of. You didn’t even touch on the worst parts: how they hide loot box chances to trick kids, and even released NFTs and $300 plushies to give out exclusive super powerful items in game.
There’s truly nothing like roblox out there. The level of freedom it gives people is insane, and there have been some genuinely impressive and well made games that have come from the site. I hope that one day we have nothing negative to say about it, but right now there’s still a lot that Roblox needs to change and fix.

I think the biggest thing is that back when tix was a thing, transactions felt less forced because there was only the dream of money being viable. You'd have a VIP shirt here or there, but no money really left the platform, it was just used for other people to buy VIP or convert to Robux (which did cost money but didn't pay it out yet) which was used for the roblox cosmetics. It was an independent market, much like TF2's economy but even more removed from the dollar. We did see baited games back then but they were much more innocent and less professional, because it was not corporate.

As a developer on Roblox, being reminded every time that anything creative I could make will only sink to the bottom and be beaten by giant games with the most mind-numbing gameplay is just painful. I actively oppose most of the games on the front page, because its all microtransactions, copyright, and just horrid game design. There are some games that I actively wished were never made, and seeing their primary design first hand has influenced me personally for all of my personal ideas and projects, mostly to stray away from P2W mechanics and moving all sorts of microtransactions to cheap cosmetics and relying on premium payouts to generate revenue. This video is honestly really accurate, and it just hurts to watch one video after another that expose the whole truth about the platform, especially after the videos PMG made.

This video is extremely accurate to the current state of roblox, especially the point on how the actually good games have very small player bases. The best roblox games I ever played were robot 64( which you mentioned) Forward adventure 2( A game that shutdown a while back, but has a few retrains), arcane odyssey which very recently released and has a very small player base of about 1000-1500 players, and outlaster which is a Survivor like game that really captures the feeling of old roblox with friends. Hi small horror game developer from Roblox here and to make this quick an easy, everything you have said is factual. In recent years I have slowly begun to notice Roblox has been going down this pipeline and it’s quite sad to see the platform like this since smaller devs are being overshadowed by as you stated “The Giants” of the platform. Growing up I always said “I wish there were more horror games on the Platform” and I seem to have gotten my wish, but in the somewhat worst way possible. The only reason some of us ever survive out here is because of TH-camrs like yourself finding our work and giving it some attention before we fall back into obscurity. I feel you should do another dive at some point but look at some of the devs and how they treat their fan bases, because let me tell you some of it is absolutely unbelievable. And a prime example would be the creator of Pet Sim X. Good video hope to see more soon!

Because library computers don’t let you install steam, but DO let you install Roblox. Roblox’s client doesn’t require a traditional “install” that normal programs do, meaning it works around most blocks that schools, libraries, and parents use. Not to mention mobile crossplay.

Good video! When you were talking about how easy it is for these games to just be gone, I remembered what happened to Roblox Pokémon games. Pokémon brick bronze and other Roblox Pokémon games were one of my favorite games on Roblox, and the community was shattered when it and other Pokémon suddenly got deleted. If/when these anime style games get taken down, it will be infinitely worse than the Pokémon situation, since this is on a much grander scale.

honestly this game was basically my childhood... probably playing it on average 3-4 hours a day from age 9-15 and it was its own sort of journey. All the good and bad you mentioned here I experienced...
Seeing this as an adult kinda hurts since you know it's all true yet you hold so many fond memories on the platform. From the days of swordfight on the heights to jailbreak/meep city ruling roblox to weight lifting simulator popularizing simulators to anime hell (which thankfully I was not playing during) this game has gone very far and I think it shows greatly in your video "essay." There were a bunch of awesome things I doubt I would like now without roblox. For example I love the TV show big brother and roblox had a "big brother" game (now remade into "eviction notice") where you would play a simulation of big brother and try to outwit your competition to win. Of course 90% of the time the winners would just be based on who was friends with who rather than strategy but that got me into all of those types of games such as mafia, werewolf, blood on the clocktower, and town of salem and greatly enjoy going to conventions to play face-to-face with others.
Even now I work as a backend developer, which is something I probably wouldn't be doing if it wan't for roblox as I had learned LUA before any other language which later got me into SQL and Bash which later got me into linux systems and I would fuck around with them on VMs and before I knew it I was in university majoring in web development.
in conclusion even if it was undoubtedly a predatory service made to funnel away your parents' credit cards there were still great memories to be made. Of course if I ever have kids ill never let them use roblox for the reasons stated here, but I'm sure I'm not the only one now who looks back on this predatory service with nostalgia and happiness more than anything

I get what you mean though. Being overbearing is not something a kid would want from a parent unless they were raised in an environment (i.e are foster kids) where those restrictions may be appreciated. If it were to end up socially isolating them then I'd be more open to it but I do think I would put the effort of blocking Roblox's IP from my network. Honestly, i'm really glad you made this video. I aspire to be the kind of adult that doesn't just shit on whatever the latest generation is doing, and rather try to engage with them. But I have seen stuff that straight worries me, like tiktok for instance. I've heard of roblox, but I don't know anything about it, I just know that i've seen kids playing some pretty neat stuff on there, like the free fps cod game you showed and some free rhythmn games along with race karts and stuff. Seemed pretty innocent and nice.
There's too much stuff to keep track of in life, and i'm really glad to see a shortform video showing what's going down in brown town on Roblox.
I have to admit, this is incredibly disappointing and slightly disheartening to hear (because at this point, i'm just kind of expecting this crap everywhere.). I'm getting incredibly nervous about these increasingly exploitative practices being used on everyone, and especially our children.
Like there was stuff like this when I was a kid, but these days, it's so out of base with my childhood, I can't even relate to being a child experiencing this shit everywhere being completely normalized. Every single ducking app, game, media really. Just exploiting the everlasting duck out of the human brain.
And you're incredibly right about the issue here. When all your friends, youtubers, and twitch streamers and more are playing this trash. What else as a kid are you going to do? You're not going to just outright step outside that herd. It takes real balls to do that as a kid, and kids just want to fit in, feel approval, and smile with their friends.
-sigh- I wish there was more direction to figure out how to stop this stuff. Technology is just too integral to modern lives that you can't just shut this off and it's all fine like when I was a kid. Even with just cutting something off like roblox, just like that, you run the risk of easily destroying a kids social life. It's shameful that this is where we're at right now.
We're fighting all these stupid fights online, and I just want there to start being real laws and crack down on this frankly terrifying trend of normalization of highly addictive and explorative practices of human psychology.

The issue with Roblox pretty much started once the platform started to get a bigger following, probably around the 2018-ish era. The platform became very big and so it costed a lot money from roblox to keep their servers running. The platform slowly started to become more user-generated content focused. So since Roblox’s profits rely off their users, it makes sense why they encourage cramming monetization down people’s throats. Because it benefits both roblox themselves and the people doing the monetizing.
It’s sad, because I remember playing around 2013 when the biggest game hosted 5k players and all that game was just an obby, or a pvp game. The only payed thing was maybe just extra cosmetic items or a donate button. Roblox treats developers nowadays as their own business owners. It’s not fun anymore, just business.

I actually used to be horrifically addicted to one of the games you mentioned, Anime Adventures. I played when it came out and it started out fun while I was playing with my friends. However as I kept playing I realized how pay to win(or lose cause it is a shitty gacha game) the game was. I felt robbed because I DID like the game, I had enjoyed the gameplay loop with its challenging levels and fairly short story mode (it is neither short nor enjoyable now) and thought the characters were cool. (Yes I know the lack of care in the game itself is heavily indicated by the daily system and pop up UIs and stuff but I didn’t really notice because that garbage has been mostly normalized on this god awful platform). At some point Anime Adventures didn’t feel like a game anymore, it felt like a wire poked into my brain BEGGING me for my money. Eventually I caved in and bought the premium pass or whatever. I had NEVER felt worse. I had spent 8 of my real life dollars for a CHANCE of getting something good.
It was only when I bought the game ULTRAKILL did I remember what made games fun and special. After comparing the two, I had decided to quit Anime Adventures and Roblox games in general indefinitely.
If anyone bothered to read this, there are games on Roblox that are worth supporting, but there is also a massive amount of games that can be summed up as psychological scams.

hi, roblox "veteran" and avid yakkocmn watcher here. ngl i think this is one of the most comprehensive videos covering this platform that i've seen. while i still find adult men playing shitty frontpage games funny, i appreciate that you took the time to look deeper into the games the platform offers. in response to some of the things bought up:
    - yeah, its a shame all the good games are buried by dopamine-destroying simulators. a lot of the appeal for older players are these more high quality games, yet the sheer quantity of children to other ages severely boosts the popularity of the more "addictive" games. however there are some good games that recieve the attention they deserve, most notably deepwoken which averages 10k players on a good day and is imo the best game on the website
    - the reason there are so many games with copyright-infringing material is because of the reach of the platform; if something blows up and you have the skill making a quick, low-effort game will almost always attract young players who may be less aware of any microtransactions. its not ethical but given how horribly they pay developers its a necessary evil
    - the reason there are so many games with long grinds is because of a feature where, if people with roblox premium (a subscription service that provides multiple benefits both outside and in games) play your game for a long amount of time you gain extra profits. therefore games will add extra benefits for premium users to entice them, and make the grind for content long and arduous to drive up these numbers
i wish you would've covered how out of touch the company is with its community as its been an issue for years and genuinely affects people's enjoyment of the game, but i get this isnt meant to be a comprehensive review. cool video anyway, and i definitely wasnt expecting you to cover the platform nevermind in this much detail

There's some real talented developers in the community that makes these amazing games but because nobody finds or plays them they're sometimes conditioned to stop working on them. I'd highly recommend you to play some of these games listed below as I didn't see you play them:|
-Black Magic II: Phantom's Causatum, one of the best fighting games on roblox with original characters and all.
-Adventure story, a charming RPG game inspired by likes of Mario RPG's and such. Sadly, development has stopped for this one.
-Phighting, a really cool team fighting game with tons of character dialogue interactions.
They're all super fun to play and made with passion.

I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring here and add three more games I've enjoyed to the list.
HOURS - an arcadey third-person roguelite beat-em-up that features enemies based on ROBLOX accessories, gears, and lore (yes, lore), and playable characters with JoJo-esque time controlling abilities.
Arcane Odyssey - a giant PvE and PvP open-world fighting game made by the developer of Adventure Story, featuring seafaring and magic. Based on Greek Mythology with a twist & currently in early access.
Adventure Forward Two - a classic-style collect-a-thon platformer from the older days of ROBLOX. Run and jump through nine major worlds filled with stars (the major collectable) and challenge courses to gain the respect of the deities inhabiting them: Points. Though the original game was broken due to ROBLOX updates, there's a restored version that works just fine.

From Malaysia here. My now 13 year old youngest brother had been playing Roblox since he was 9 was because we didn't have enough ducket to get a proper working laptop for him to play other games. I am genuinely worried the amount of exploitative and shady things in there. At the same time impressed by just how much amazing and out of this world games that also exist in that platform. He even had to download a third party auto clicker just so he could grind through an insanely unethical design just to skip a paywall.
Being in a third world country where my 1 buck is only worth 1/5 USD. 1/4 if we got a lucky economical session. Even with my parent's middle-class status and jobs still couldn't afford proper setup for him to play proper games. I've tried to reason with my parents if he don't get proper gaming experience like me back in the day where games are not driven by corporate excessive greed, he could learn a lot more than just these trashy shady pseudo- gacha/mobile games and Roblox. My parents are the same type of people that chastise us for playing a game that has violence and nudity in it's narrative without even recognizing the creative writing that puts such topics into a discussion. Much worse, they act like games now are all just copycat clones of Call of Duty or Fortnite.

The game(Don't rememebr the exact name cause they all just sounds and looks the same at a superficial level) I'm talking about is basically a blob of popular action anime characters doing flashy moves in a free-for-all PVP large map. i know some good games in roblox. 1. Decaying WInter: no gamepasses, wave survival game based on scattering items around the map while trying not to die from waves that come in between scavange stages. 2. Randomly Generated Droids: a multiplayer roguelike game (up to 4 players in normal mode) where you need to complete all 10 worlds and kill one of the 4 final bosses to finish it. each 10 rooms (final room of the wolrd) a special room will appear, it will be iether a shop, lab, library, forge. there you can buy items and diffrent swords. after finishing the game once or normal or higher difficulty you will unlock crown challanges and increase your ascention levels. crown challanges have 3 diffrent changes that will help you or make your life harder. after you beat the game at the highest ascention level you have, your ascention level will increase (up to ascention level of 15). each ascention level will add a modifier to make the game harder. like ascention 10 will make you have 50 max health at the start of the game isntead of 100, also having all preverious modifiers. you will also gain points after completing a run (up to 500), for points you can buy diffrent classes like engineer, cultist, raider and more. all classes have diffrent abilities (except classless) which will help you if you use them at the right time. 3 gamepasses (classes that require skill to play as), you cal also buy points but you really dont have to. 3: Noobs In Combat: a Co-op turn based strategy game, where you need to contol your units you setup at the start and spawn via headquaters or outpost to complete the mission (dont die in X turns, dont lose headquater and destroy or capture enemy headquater, etc.) . vehicles have oil, units have ammo, so you will have to re-supply them. afte you end mission without losing, you will gain points and exp for units you had in your loadout (5-X exp based on how much you used this unit). when unit has max exp, you will be able to upgrade it (if it has an upgraded verison). you will still be able to use not upgraded version of unit, the upgrade costs points and sometimes golden nuggets. you also can use points to get new units, also some units require diamonds to buy, you cna get diamonds for completing last mission of the mission set, from daily rewards (10 diamonds at the strak of 0, 50 diamonds at the streak of 5) or buy them with robux. 4: Dummies Vs. Noobs: there are diffrent gamemodes: 1. seige: you are the last group of dummies, beign atacked by the army of noobs. this mode consists of 10 waves, each 3 waves bosses will come to kill you, 1 out of the 3 bosses for each boss wave. at the last wave all bosses that wasnt used will come. the game becomes really hard without good teammates at wave 4 or 5, so better get good teammates. 2. mastermind: just like the siege, but now wave spawn is controlled by a player. he also can upgrade his units by using points he gets each wave and send rockets to kill you while you are off guard. some rockets make you blind, some summon a smoke bubble, but most of them can easiy kill you. after you died, wait for the wave to end or someone to come and revive you. 3. attraction: you need to defend the points from the noobs. there are one main point and 4 or 5 secondary points. if you lose secondary point, the amount or money you get will be decreased, and if you lose the main point or you all die, you lose. 4. epilogue: your team need to infiltrate and explode the facility controled by noobs. there are 3 waves (stages), at the end of them all you will need to kill the boss that will spawn. there are 6 diffrent classes: recon, scout, ranger, engineer, medic, specialist. all of them excpect specialist just get diffrent loadout that you can buy at the shop.

There’s a couple of games I always return to on Roblox.
There’s Loomian Legacy, a Pokémon-like Creature Collector, and Doodle World, the closest thing that can be called a competitor.
Both are currently having an event for Pride Month that involves Rainbow Variants of their creatures, with a low spawn rate.
The thing is, you _actually_ can’t buy them, you HAVE to find them or earn them, which is something I like.
With Doodle World you can use the game’s chaining mechanic to bypass the MTX, (and it does have many of those systems). Loomian Legacy lacks the heavy MTX systems, but does still have MTX. I occasionally indulge in both out of respect for the developers.
Interestingly, BOTH games were born from the ashes of an event caused by a certain game company well known for their Ninjas. You talked about how many games are walking a thin line of Copyright infringement, and that’s actually something Roblox has actually had occur.
Before Simulators were the top games on the platform, there was a wider variety of popular games and less of an emphasis on MTX. You had a GTA clone in the top spot, actually, but another top game was straight up a Pokémon Fangame. Pokémon Brick Bronze. I played it a ton back in the day, had a couple of full odds Shinies, and the Rarest Pokémon in the game Crystal Onix. Right before the takedown, I even got my hands on an Azelf. It got taken down, hard, and it actually resulted in the entire selection of Roblox Pokémon devs getting spooked. Eventually they got taken out too. Loomian Legacy was born from the development team behind PBB, while Doodle World is born from another of those games, Project Pokémon.
There’s a bit of a joke in the Loomian Legacy community for those in the know that Scorbunny is actually a ripoff of their Fire Rabbit, Embit, as Loomian Legacy’s official reveal pre-dates Sword and Shield.

Very true. I'm relatively new, joining around 2019 i think and majority of the fun games are the ones with a low player count. For example, Vyyrahk City, has only around 50 players at the peak of the day and around 8 for the rest of the day. Unfortunately, it suffers from being a grindy game but can still be pretty fun. At one point I was in a faction and was genuinely worried that i was going to get jumped by some other faction bc i was in a rival faction.
Another game is Starscape which is kind of a doldrum state rn. It's not dead or alive. Fell in love with the music and atmosphere. I blame the dev for it being in the state it's in rn tho. He disbanded the dev team because he felt that he wasnt doing anything to the game. Right in the middle of them working on an update. And as far as we know, he hasnt been working on it since.

A good example of those kinda games are Juke’s Towers of Hell and Find the Chomiks. JToH is so difficult and punishing that I can’t recommend it for most people. But at the same time, it has some of my favorite things on Roblox like Citadel of Heights and Depths. FTC has puzzles so complex and intricate that it could take an hour to explain all of just one of them(cough cough Everything Chomik cough cough). But, once again, it has some of the coolest uses of both Roblox and the Internet ever, like Chomipedia and Bonnet Chomik. Neither of these games could make sense outside of Roblox, which is what makes them all the more special. They also both have an extremely inconsistent standard for quality, making them feel like their own genre. There’s no official title that would have both something like Uber Secret Chomik and Intergalactik or Tower of Inception and Tower of Time and Space Manipulation. TL:DR: Go play Juke’s Towers of Hell and Find the Chomiks. They’re pretty good.

List of good games that I remember from last I played (as of 2020-2021) (some info may be outdated since I don't play roblox that much anymore)
-Night of the Werewolf. One of my favorites! While it's not super unique in terms of gameplay (though I think it pulls off its general premise better than others on the platform that are basically the same thing) it was really fun with a wonderful and distinct steampunk/old time-y aesthetic. Sadly never had many players during my time but always had enough to get the game going. Also I don't know if its ost was original but the music absolutely slapped.
-Tower Battles. Basically like that anime tower defense game shown here in the video but with way less microtransactions and without any anime characters. I was somewhat addicted to it because I genuinely found it enjoyable and I don't recall spending any robux on it, instead using the in-game money that was fairly easy to earn to get upgrades and better defenses that I would then PERMANENTLY own.
-This is Not a Simulator. Exactly what it sounds like. Had nice vibes and was a breath of fresh air due to the fact that it was not a simulator. Really unique.
-Camping. While it did have a few microtransactions (particularly through reviving yourself after dying) it was such a fun time, and when it'd first come out it'd felt so unique, though it did essentially revolutionize the horror genre on roblox and because of that there are now *many* games very similar to it. I'd recommend playing it with some friends for the best experience these days. (The follow-up games in the series weren't too bad either)
-Beeswarm Simulator. I feel bad recommending a simulator game as they were and still very clearly are an annoying part of the platform, (and because footage of it was shown in this video) but beeswarm sim always felt different to me, I'd always choose it over others, even when there were very similar games out there. From what I remember from when I played, beeswarm sim wasn't nearly as pushy with microtransactions as the other games out there, and having the quests there made it way more bearable than just mindlessly doing stuff on there "just because". Plus having the areas of the game split up into different zones worked in it's favor as there'd be an increase in difficulty when it came to the enemies in each of the fields, so it didn't feel like you were unlocking "more of the same", it felt more like you were "leveling up". Plus it was fun to play whether you were going solo or playing with friends. Or at least, I always thought so.
Not a specific game but I remember really liking all of the games made by a user called "grottypuff". They were all like roleplay games (though they never had many users in them or were ever super mainstream on the platform) and they had a very pleasing aesthetic consisting of a lot of pinks and pastels, very cutesy feminine stuff while still having a very distinct style. Some of them had more horror elements, too, so it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows.
Can't think of anything more rn but I'll update this later if I do.
-Galaxy Heroes. DEVASTATINGLY underrated even during my time. Likely totally dead now which is SUCH a shame it was so incredibly unique and well made. Get some friends together and play it it's so so good. Made by user thecoderbunny

personally, one of my favourite games on roblox is entry point. While it does have a few transactions, they either barely affect gameplay, or give players more content, essentially a DLC after finishing the main game. It is also very well made, fun to play with friends.

As a fellow roblox veteran (Joined late 2012, still going strong) I've been keen to look out for those "p2w" type games and try to avoid them like the plague.
If you're still an active player (or anyone here just wants game suggestions) here's some of my favorites.
    Craftwars Knockoff
    Balanced Craftwars Overhaul
    Ability Wars
    Toy Soldierz
    Grass Cutting Incremental
    Midnight Horrors
    Arcane Odyssey
    Defender's Depot
    HOURS
    The Battle Bricks

Looking back, simulators and tycoons gotta be the biggest useless time sinks I’ve ever wasted my time on but I never got deep into them. Murder Mystery 2, Elemental battle grounds, Jailbreak and random obbys were what I spent most of my time on

I gotta say though. A lot of old school one piece roblox games I played capture the adventurous feel of one piece that no official game has done yet. They had tons of islands to explore and a massive list of devil fruit powers to play with, including one that could teleport other players all over the map. It was really amazing and I want a game that captures that adventure again.

As someone who plays (too much) Roblox, I genuinely never ever touched anything on the game's front page. Most games that I actively play are found from digging through the "Similar games" section of a game's page, which is the only consistent way of finding good games buried under the mountains of generic anime grinding simulators.
    (By the way, some recommendations:
    Guts & Blackpowder
    Zombie Stories
    Tower Blitz
Evade (Knew about it due to being made by the original Tower Blitz devs, not related to it being on the front page.)
    Dead Slate)

Try a game called "Project delta", it's kind of a escape from tarkov type game, though it does have micro transactions, it uses them in a non p2w way, mainly for skins, although some may give you a slight advantage like snow ghillie skins or woodland camouflage for armor. It's a high quality game and I think its one of the most unknown shooter games on Roblox.

(I'm one of the founders of that nuke game 14:22), not totally proud of a lot of the similarities it holds with other simulators, despite being so similar though we really put a lot of effort into the game and then eventually just decided it's not a passion project so what the hell, on the flip side we give a lot of free stuff to players throughout the game as they progress. At the end of the day we needed to make money for ourselves in order to to maintain basic livelihood as well as funding our main project(BloopVille) which we've put every ounce of creative effort we can conjure up to create, which includes tons of F2P mechanics and items that players can acquire through hard work and grinding, not just gacha mechanics.

    Fantastic video.
Having taken dev commissions in the modelling field for around a year and a half, I have accumulated around $400-$500 in virtual currency. Relative to the amount that the devs who commission me actually earn, their upkeep is a fraction of my net-income per annum; made worse by the fact that the platform is now littered with multi-faceted firms and corporations who hire cheaper external labor which in-turn renders a lot of indie-devs completely obsolete. It makes me feel sympathy for these aforementioned smaller devs who genuinely create unique and in-depth experiences that are often woefully overshadowed by repetitive corporate garbage.
Roblox is not a community-driven gaming platform; it is a money-making industry that heavily promotes the use of reciprocative fallacies in order to steal money from children.
