When I got my first MP3 I went into my music thing on the computer, and this song was one of the ones on there. They're always going to be one of the best things i've listened to. They're the first music I was introduced to.
For some reason, I think this song came on my iPod that was gifted to me for my 8th birthday, along with a couple others. It was my favorite song (along with another one that came with the iPod - Big Sky by Rachel Loy). So glad I found this again, and such a shame it wasn't released.
Lyrics: Light bulb in my room Eclipsed by many moons Dressed in my costume, Baby Photos on the wall Of ones who have it all The girls the boys will call, Baby It's impossible to fight When you work a hard day's night This is not my voice This is not my choice This is somebody's baby They don't know my age They don't know my name They just call me Baby Blue Piper in the woods Wooed me from my hood Said I'd be a good, Baby Sold into a world Of oriental pearls Such a pretty girl, Baby I'm a million faces now Stolen angel in the crowd This is not my voice This is not my choice This is somebody's baby They don't know my age They don't know my name They just call me Baby Blue If you hear my voice Breaking through your noise No you can't take long I will send my name On a paper plane But you can't take long St. Agnus don't call The ghosts within these stalls Den mother just calls us Baby There's a dragon's tower In every nation's power This is now the hour Sri Lanka, Katmandu I'm in New York City too This is not my voice This is not my choice This is somebody's baby They don't know my age They don't know my name They just call me Baby Blue If you hear my voice Breaking through your noise No you can't take long I will send my name On a paper plane But you can't take long Baby Blue
Did yours come with Big Sky by Rachel Loy and Sunny Day (can't find the artist for this song, which upsets me) as well? Big Sky ended up being one of my favorite songs, and it still is today. ^.^
@ioanjivan it was released! Justin released the song with Tremolo right before making Call & Response. The album is called Love Is The Greatest Revenge... great record. And the live version you could get on iTunes - it's on the Call & Response soundtrack.
For a picture of the actual band. (Tremolo) and the story of why they are not creating music, there is an article on the mother jones website entitled " "From Rock Musician to Anti-Slavery Activist"
very powerful and heartbreaking. makes me want to fight more for those who do not have a voice. we need to look at what is really going on around this place and make some people be accountable for the lives they destroy.
No. The album is Love Is the Greatest Revenge. The song is Baby Blue. The band is Tremolo. Blue Rodeo is a country band, and while they DO have an album titled "Tremolo," so do a lot of other people, and this is clearly not their song.
Who is this cover shot of. No one looks like Justin and I don't recognize any one else in the band and I should as they rehearsed at my house in SF. Is this a newer version of the band?
So I did some research. The band had a pending record deal that they never finished. They got invited to do some nonprofit shows in eastern Europe. They went to a town named Kalmykia, a Russian territory on the border of the black sea. They met some local kids who were looking forward to leaving and getting jobs in america. On a hunch they continued questioning the kids about it and realized they were unknowingly setting themselves up to be sold on the slave market. So Justin Dillon became a modern slavery activist afterwards and runs nonprofits to combat it... and that's why theres no more Tremolo.

Was it a Dell computer that you got around 2006, by chance?
Same!
Me too!! It was pre-loaded in My Music on my first Dell laptop.

Same! Age end everything, I’m glad I refound it
Same here! I’ve been looking for this song for forever. Sounds different than what I remember
Lyrics:
Light bulb in my room
Eclipsed by many moons
Dressed in my costume, Baby
Photos on the wall
Of ones who have it all
The girls the boys will call, Baby
It's impossible to fight
When you work a hard day's night
This is not my voice
This is not my choice
This is somebody's baby
They don't know my age
They don't know my name
They just call me
Baby Blue
Piper in the woods
Wooed me from my hood
Said I'd be a good, Baby
Sold into a world
Of oriental pearls
Such a pretty girl, Baby
I'm a million faces now
Stolen angel in the crowd
This is not my voice
This is not my choice
This is somebody's baby
They don't know my age
They don't know my name
They just call me
Baby Blue
If you hear my voice
Breaking through your noise
No you can't take long
I will send my name
On a paper plane
But you can't take long
St. Agnus don't call
The ghosts within these stalls
Den mother just calls us Baby
There's a dragon's tower
In every nation's power
This is now the hour
Sri Lanka, Katmandu
I'm in New York City too
This is not my voice
This is not my choice
This is somebody's baby
They don't know my age
They don't know my name
They just call me
Baby Blue
If you hear my voice
Breaking through your noise
No you can't take long
I will send my name
On a paper plane
But you can't take long
Baby Blue
love this song
somebody should make a lyric version of this song. and you where born for this
i love this song..so powerful
Well I don't know the band Tremolo, but the cover is a picture of the member of the Canadian band Blue Rodeo. 'Tremolo' was one of their albums.
Did yours come with Big Sky by Rachel Loy and Sunny Day (can't find the artist for this song, which upsets me) as well? Big Sky ended up being one of my favorite songs, and it still is today. ^.^
Was it "Sunny Day" by Deana Carter? Did we have the same collection of Dell Windows XP sample music? Or was this replying to one of the iPod comments?
Thanks ipod
I love this song so much

True story, Justin who wrote and sang this gave up Rock-'n'-roll to fight White Slavery full time.

I also got an iPod that came with this song. I'm working through the others I loved from it but lost when I upgraded. Thank you, TH-cam!
Does anyone know where I can download this free?

Are they still together? If so,then does anyone know if any of their recent songs?
