These days, instead of FOMO (fear of missing out), it's more like I have FOBI (fear of being included) and FOS (fear of small talk) 😂 Wishing you all a happy journey towards JOMO (joy of missing out) 🌻
Yes, I relate to that. A few days ago I refused to be invited in a big family whats app group. If I talk regularly with big family it will meeting2 with them (holidays meetings) become less fun, becoz no more to talk about 😄😆😉
Dear Jean I salute you! My grandfather, (born in 1888), was probably the happiest person I ever knew. He had a battered metal tea pot, not a cup and saucer that matched in the house, old clothes old car, but it all worked. His philosophy? “ Contentment is the key”, meaning that it’s a choice, not a destination, the clothes you wear or the money in your bank, just simply a decision to be happy. It works!
it really is a choice - grandpa's on to the good stuff :) .... although i am very grateful that we r privileged enough to be in a position where we are comfortable where we are also contented and can stop striving 😊
Your grandfather was very wise. Money is not the MOST IMPORTANT in our life, "Contentment is the key," because if you don't strive for it, you will leave behind a good happy life.
But when we are young, we face the society, encourage us be riches is successful, and strive like a cow in the farm and be scammer to get rich. We have suffer our own failure, then we look for answers, learn the hard way, unless you are very very obedient/discipline and lead by an upright obedient parent and teacher.
@@ringotan5244 I just visited Bali, and the other parts of Indonesia, these were behavior that made me think twice to live there: hedonistic life, materials lovers (big houses, and throwing money like it was never end). I like to live in Europe more after what I saw in Indonesia. GOD BLESS YOU.
Thank you Jean! I actually informed my boss the decision to quit my corporate job yesterday. And I will be moving out of the company in a month and half. I’m back to pursuing my creative passions and my writing. I’m on discussions to publish my second novel. I decided I will give my passions all. You’ve been one of the angels who have guided the way. I started watching you two months ago, may be three, and it really made sense to me. Brought back my purpose. I can’t tell you how thankful I am. ❤ Keep doing this more. Love from India! ❤ Anjana

We are all running around in a rat race knowing we are missing something. That's why these videos just resonate with a lot of us thank you for making them
Love this. So inspiring. I don't have the FOMO anymore because I know there is nothing out there worth pursuing. Happiness and love comes from within. I find myself saying "No" to many things these days while others believe I am the one missing out when I prefer to stay home and find other things to do. Seems like we live in a world where the majority are still immature in a spiritual sense and place value on things that have no value.
It’s all about creating discontentment and anxiety! When to be happy, we just need to be happy with being alive, grateful and around the right people, friends and family !🌺🌺
3 years ago, I began day trading stocks with the FOMO mentality…one month ago I transferred all my money out of my Robinhood trading account and stopped trading altogether…. I placed my money in a high interest savings account instead….during those 3 years of trading, I lived with constant anxiety with the ups and downs of the market….now one month after quitting, I feel much more relaxed and my mind is much more calm and focus….i feel much more focus and productive at work…I feel much happier by doing less ….i just needed to slow down and live a more minimalistic life 😊
I went through the same thing earlier in my initial nomad journey after quitting. I can’t believe u lasted 3 years! I did it for less than a year - swing trading - n the emotional costs I paid was so high… eventually I followed my instincts for more peace and less heart attacks 🤣 and went the same way u did! Less is more indeed 😊

Beautiful inside and out.🥰 The world could learn a lot from you Jean. We push ourselves so that one day we will feel satisfied and we can rest. But we never feel satisfied and never feel good enough.
This has been very inspirational. Actually, all your videos are. I've been your silent follower for a year now. Just thought I should say hi! And thank you for making videos. Wish you happiness, always.
Hi Jean, totally with you on giving priority to our own well-being and that of our loved ones in our own meaningful ways, and not be overly concerned about the distractions from outside and how the world expects us to live. It’s interesting to note that even the Bible has something to say about this: “… make it your aim to live quietly and to mind your own business and work with your hands … so that you may be walking decently as regards people outside and not be needing anything.” (1 Thessalonians, 4:11-12). Just a sharing.
Beautiful, I don’t really have a problem with FOMO, more with comparing myself to others, not just to who I was yesterday, an hour ago or just a few seconds ago. Your video went beyond that and helped me out. Jean, thank you so much, I appreciate it!!

WE have unlearned to live mostly for ourselves. Living for other people's wealth in an office job, brings us money but not necessarily happiness and inner peace. But is a life possible without money possible? If yes, then i still dont know how to do. Your thoughts are so true and a true inspiration to me. Maybe we all dont need money at all. Jean: You exude such a Gentle, Happy all encompassing way about You. It is refreshing to view one of your videos that illustrate such a stark contrast with the "Hustle & Bustle" world that most of people reside in. Thank You for sharing that there is another way to Live, Love and Laugh. Greetings from Ontario, Canada.
Beautiful, important video. "Disconnecting" has always had important benefits but I am 1000% convinced that given the digital era that includes social media over-use, "disconnecting" has become an absolute prerequisite for sanity. That is not a hyperbole but rather an unappreciated internet-era survival skill. Said differently, excessive use of social media and email in the absence of "downtime" where there's strong self-focus is a contributing factor in the escalating mental health crisis, especially in the USA. IMO this awareness is just barely being recognized and represents some of the greatest opportunities both personally and 'commercially' over the next decade, at least. Those who learn the skills needed are destined to benefit tremendously in most every way. Those who ignore their mental health have a much less desirable prognosis. Your videos are far more important than indicated by current viewer count.
