- This is the first of three JIG 2 videos that will drop for the 2023 Season! These next two have multiple cameras and are a little more complex to edit.
Enjoy the Oak Mountain Drum Line 2023 Edition of the Iconic Drum Cadence from the Band that started it all in 2011!
Disclaimer - I volunteer for the band as videographer. I am not a drum instructor or director and I would kindly direct you to www.oakmountainband.com for all things official for the band. This is my 17th year to work with the band. The 2023 Marching Show "Treasured" is coming soon so stay tuned.

@@bwfitzI love your videos and also the 2nd and 4th guy’s Quint sounds awesome
@3:31 I love the ending quad solos very good way to end the video. Awesome job man I can’t wait for next videos in 2024.
Thanks for watching!!!
@@bwfitzAlso the 2nd and 4th guy’s Quint (in the order they did the solos) sounds awesome.
Nice bro no matter the year I love your big 2 videos
I learned how to play it by your videos
Thanks so much! I have two more planned to post very soon. Thanks for watching!
Hey Bob Fitzgerald at 0:53 the 2nd guys Quint sounds awesome and at 1:40 the 4th guys Quint sounds awesome.
And at 3:00 I really love the way their Quints sound when they do the solo together.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤙👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
0:29 well someone went nuts
2nd quad to play the 6s wins. last 2 wanted to overplay and play faster than they can play accurately. first guy just needs to relax and use his wrists. everyone drags the end of phrase 3 stroke triplets. i usually hate jig with a passion, but this was actually fun.
The first guy needs to practice with a Metronome and use his wrists.
The original is the one that sparked my interest in marching band, and even though I'm in Canada so marching bands aren't really a big thing, my AIr Cadets squadron does have one. We arranged a version of Jig 2 for our tiny drumline!
That’s so cool! We are humbled and honored to be a little part of your band journey! Thanks so much for watching and sharing your experience! Stay tuned for two more Jig 2 videos coming soon! Would love to see your group performing Jig 2 if you can share it!
@@bwfitz The excerpted part is the main "chorus" of the song, the part that's repeated before the sextuplets solo. The snare part is slightly modified. We have a parade on Saturday and I'm sure I can find a recording of it.
May be the same but still always manages to be amazing. Is that 6 bass drums I see?
They marched 5 basses this year but I think they did bring out 6 for the stand tunes if I’m not mistaken. Thanks for watching!!!
Excuse me Bob Fitzgerald how many Quints do they have?
This past season it was 4. Thanks for watching!
@@bwfitz Also one more question can you practice the JIG 2 TENOR SOLO with a Metronome?
I’m sure that would help! I’m not the drum instructor just the videographer! If anyone can offer a comment that would be helpful!
Mr Weenie Productions Grammy Awards
