But having a good quality clone that you can tinker with really lets you know that you do actually want the real deal. Just like you said on one of your other videos about the OTF you got a copy and then went on to give your wallet a bit of a kicking getting a couple of the real deal Made in the USA numbers . Well said. I am a fan of knives in general. I don't care where they are made, for the most part, so long as the design is good, the quality is there and its a good value. I like the cheap $30 Amazon knives, but I also just placed an order for a $450 Medford, straight from their factory... This tribalist, and frankly somewhat racist approach that we should only buy knives from people that look like us, or that happen to be in a similar geographic location, is just silly, IMHO. Lots of countries make decent products. Just because their current politician(s) are aholes, doesn't change that. Many countries might say the same thing about us, depending on which clown is sitting in the White House at a given moment...

I used to be a knife slob, too! China was off limits. Bought a Vosteed Nightshade LT, China about $65 in 154cm steel. Very good! Then bought a Kizer Urban Bowie same steel about $15-20 cheaper, also very nice! Looking at these brand Chinese knives it’s like I’ve done a total 360! Chinese are doing knives pretty damn right these days. Call me Commie move to China I don’t care. They made damn fine Ak47 variants as well. If any country turns out a quality piece I’m down like 4 flat tires!
Where else can a person get a kick ass knife for $30 in 2022 that is well made as these eafengrow s and ganzos ? No offense to the collectors or American knife makers but y’all are severely overpriced like medfords inq when the canku c1136 is damn near the same minus the quality materials but I ve been fine with 440c or 14 c , even d2 despite it’s been hard to get them d2 blades as sharp as 14 c or 440c . Hopefully China and kershaw will start with at least 14 c in the future . A lot of people like it inc me .

I can't believe any person is saying go live in china if like Chinese made knives. I hate talking like this, but that person is an idiot. I think the price and steel is too low grade for any American reviewer to review. I am also getting my first buck Mon, but it's not a folder. A knife designer Koji Harra and a scale designer Yellowhorse collaborated on a limited piece called "Old Glory." Looks cool. I want to get another buck knife and maybe a case because they are part of America knife history. That's why I bought a Loveless, because of the history. I think Bob Loveless started the use of 154CM and micarta to the knife world. So as a 8 month knife collector, I had to buy a knife made by him. I even bought a Hinderer fixed blade for the history and craftsmanship. I'm putting the bucks together with my cold steel and spyderco as a back lock ( i think that's the name) collection. I'm giving all these knives to my grandnieces when i go. They are either going to have so much fun with these knives or a good start at college. I won't mind if they sell them. If there is one thing about Anthony Marfione, it's that he takes his name and brand very seriously. I don't believe that his decision to send that knife to China to be made, was taken lightly. Every review I have seen of those SOCOM Bravo's have been stellar.
