Thank you for this video and explaining Jimin's dance. I have always been so fascinated by Jimin's talent even from seeing him perform for the first time. I love seeing someone who really appreciates Jimin. I am often surprised when I see professionally danc😊ers over look Jimin when they are trying to pick out the best dancer amongst his group. Somehow they don't see Jimin and pick out the ones who have not been trained. I often feel they do this on purpose because of the level of his abilities. This happens in his singing abilities as well. I know nothing about dancing or singing, but I can see talent when it is there. To me me, Jimin is a true genius.

I don’t know if you know Jimin’s history, but this boy has 8 years of martial arts, including Hapkido, Kendo and Taekwondo (black belt), training in hip hop - popping and locking and contemporary, modern dance, which includes ballet, jazz, traditional Korean dance….and I could easily be missing something. He has been labelled a prodigy for a reason! He’s just incredible!

LOL!!! I used the auto translate. He said Jimin's dance is soft and his body's ability to move is beyond him how all his body parts seemed perfectly in working order as to its flexibility and extensions and that he can't do the back roll as softly as Jimin and only Jimin can do his own dances.

When you were speaking about Japanese history and basis for martial arts, do you think Jimin having started Kendo when he was very small (4 or 5) helped him translate the forms you discussed to his dancing? He did kendo for 8 years and also taekwondo and other arts somewhat later with great success and determination ; could starting kendo first have been more important, along with his natural flexibility and musculature, to be able to do what he does now? Clearly he has contemporary, ballet and hip-hop dance training but that came years later. I would appreciate your thoughts on how martial arts - and the kinds Jimin studied for so many years - have shaped him. Thanks again.
