Your vlogs are just magic. Steam train, pub and canal PLUS a forest full of bluebells! The dogs are ecstatic and the peace and quiet broken only by birdsong and ducks. You don't have to put it into words. After having only one week on a narrowboat we know exactly how you feel!

The ‘emotional bit’ in the middle is what being on the canal does to you, I thought you were going to choke up fully, well done getting through expressing the love of the lifestyle. Enjoy following your journey. You can’t hurry life on a canal boat; that’s the big advantage. Notice you had a center mooring line draped across your solar panel. That could possibly reduce output by as much as 70 pct on that panel..and indeed on the whole array if they are serially connected...
Thank, you. We have been told that before and are now taking more care. We'll get the panels back on their brackets soon so ropes can go underneath x
The country side is magnificent, thank you so much for taking us on your canal travels. Love to hear the two of you talking back and forth to each other, makes me miss the times my husband and I had years ago in the RV and Motorhome :-)

They were mostly mining copper at Froghall so a small volume of that would lower the boat in the water, Loaded and sheeted, a horse boat would have gone through the tunnel a cinch then. Either that or subsidence.

We hired a boat many years ago when I was visiting and living in the UK, We have done this went thru the tunnel and yes this was the most beautiful Caldon Canal I have ever done it was just beautiful, the old railway hut I remembered that think I have a photo of it somewhere might have to find it. have fun guys

Can’t wait - this is where we are heading at the end of June when we start cc’ing - the Black Lion is what made us want to do this first as we went on a walk in that area - sat in the pub by the canal and steam train and dreamed of when we would be there in our own boat 😊❤️

Well Fran and Rich, this is the first episode of yours that I've watched and realized that it was episode 57. I've got to go back to episode 1 and start from the beginning. There were a couple of thoughts I had about your vlog. The first was the audio, as it was hard to hear all of the audio throughout the vlog. I had to turn up my sound, but then when going back to another TH-cam video that had the audio as expected, I got blown away. And second, it would be helpful to one who lives across the pond to see a map of your current location. I can Google the Caldon Canal, but a map of your exact location would be so much more helpful that is part of your vlog. And the Caldon Canal is very long according to the map I'm viewing. Thanks for this view of Great Britain that is not something us Colonists see everyday. Thanks for bringing GB that much closer to the USA.

Must be terrible having to put up with so mush paradise, on just one short canal. I have never been on the Caldon Canal, it is now on my bucket list.

I decided to watch because his was the first boat show video I saw. All the Boat tubers were there! I saw Jess and Archie first so I knew it was you. Thanks for another great video.
We had a great time at Crick, but had some time away from filming. We also met some other boat tubers so thought we'd leave the filming to them!

As an ex-pat living in Australia for the last 32 years that brings back amazing memories!! Only been back 4 times in all those years but coming back in September 2020 and a narrow boat trip is part of my trip. I went on one on a school trip in the 70’s so looking forward to it.

Hi Rich, when you take videos of your journey I draw my own conclusions on what I see, Good days and bad days, but blended all together its great. I have told you before you are really professional in your presentations. Buying a tub is going to be new to me, where is the best place or places. as the clock ticks I think of it often, No wife no Kids. its going to be a great Move for me... I watch many other narrowboat channels, and will tell you that your camera must be one of the best ever - fantastic resolution, makes my screen and me very happy. Also, seeing your dogs having so much fun on the towpaths is so enjoyable that I am heading to Patreon to help you keep them fed and happy :>).

Hello folks I’m still watching.
How beautiful is that canal....stunning. No idea how you get the boat to go backwards in a straight line...! Ours turns to a strange angle no matter what I do with the tiller going backwards...a seriously good piece of driving Fran...🙂 So enjoyable to watch...! We’re back at home now for a few weeks to catch up here, and then will be back out....keep the vlogs coming and keep having fun...Steve and Sue..🍷🍷
Our boat is the same Steve.With us we just have to get it pointing the right way then go slowly back...but it is s slow process
