    Thank you for this! We went to some malls in Dongdaemun and were surprised that so many malls only have ladies clothing and no men’s clothing at all! Like 8 floors no men’s stuff 😂 🤯 later we went to Hongdae and found more men’s shop.

    in Korea, usually if you shop alone, would there be salesperson come and bother you? i am introvert, so i really want my own sweet time to choose alone without getting pushed on what to buy 😢

    Thank you! What would you recommend for souvenirs?
    Edit: I’m in korea atm but I’m not sure what to bring to my (big) family.

      This is a hard question 😆
      When I go out to visit friends, I take Korean cookies, chips, and ramens, and they all like them. Sometimes, I buy cosmetics or suppliments from Olive Young or buy small accessorries. :) For something traditional, Korean fans, Korean green tea, or Korean premium soju. :) I hope this gave you some ideas!

    I just want to thank you for this and all of the videos you're posting! I'll be in Seoul in 5 weeks and I couldn't be more excited abou it. But it's really sad that myeongdong stores are close, because I chose this location for my hotel. Anyway, hello from Brazil!

      Hello! It will be such a good weather to visit Korea in 5 weeks :)
      I can say about 1/3 of stores are closed but there are still other stores that are opened!
      Also Myeongdong is a such good location to get the accommodation because there are so many things to do around Myeongdong. :)
      No worries!

      I haven't been to that many hotels yet but I will definitely look over to see which hotels are good. :)
      Location wise, Myeongdong is a great place to go around different places.

      It depens on where you are planning to go.
      Honestly, in Hongdae area, there isn't much to do nearby except Hongdae.
      There are many places to visit near Myeongdong. :)

    Is there a resource/reference for size conversions from USA to South Korea?

    • @yourkoreafriend
      @yourkoreafriend  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      One size (Free size) usually fits all.
      Also you can think of one size less in Korea. For example, US M is KO L, US S is KO M. :)
      Waist sizes are same but length, like I said in the video, mostly you need to hem it.

    What about Goto Mall?

    • @yourkoreafriend
      @yourkoreafriend  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Goto Mall is great to shop many different things. They have clothes for baby to senior, shoes, accessories, living goods, decorations, and more. It's a good place to visit to look around. Of course, there are good stores, but young Koreans don't shop clothes there because most of the stores are out of trend. :( Also it's huge but nothing much to buy in young Koreans' perspective. But again, if you need things not just for young adults, then you can visit there to shop. :)

      @@yourkoreafriend I see...but I think Hongdae fashion is a bit too hippy. I mean certain stores. since they are meant for university students. So it's understandable. Not for my age. But I'll take a stroll there since I'll be staying that area for a week.
