Great video Tim, My Wife is HK born Chinese, I am Gwailo, We have eaten in almost every Chinese restaurant in Vancouver, but missed this one. We will go soon. Our favourite for Peking Duck is Floata in Chinatown.
That was an impressive meal! I would love to travel there just to eat at QJD! The Laksa, hot drinks and donuts looked scrumptious at the other place, too! I love how thoughtfully you had treated everyone and the way Harmony poured tea for everyone. Everything looked clean, stylish and elegant. The service was excellent and even the waiter looked really beautiful! Everyone in the video looked gorgeous! I feel happy after watching this video! This Covid lockdown has made me appreciate how nice it will be to go out and to enjoy the company of friends and a fine meal. Thank you for making this great video!

It was reported that the raspberry one was the favorite. Although they call them donuts, I suspect they're actually something called bismarcks. Stay strong Jessie 🙂

Hi Tim, as soon as I saw the words “Vancouver Chinatown” I had to see where you were going. Wanted to be introduced to some great dining places in my old hood. Amazing food in all the places. Peking Duck is one of my top favourites too, can never go wrong on that dish but for that price for only one course of Peking Duck, wow, I better start saving up 😂
Another great video, Tim! Yummy doughnuts you got for the second dessert; you are always so thoughtful of others! You were only served the duck breast...what did they do with the rest of the duck? For the price you paid, they should have used the rest of the duck to make other dishes. I've seen other videos where they stir fried the other meaty parts and used the carcass to make soup.
Thank you Sally! They carved up the duck pretty well so we got quite a bit of meat there. They also gave us the bones to pack home for soup! I think that's one of the general ways they do it there, but yes, I do enjoy the multiple courses of duck at other places😋

My goodness Tim ...it's so hard to watch your videos on an empty stomach 😩I'm sure I filled up like half a bucket of 🤤that duck must be the wagyu of 🦆especially if its 98 CAD 😀 I remember you were talking about QJD a while back and it was some crazy numbers ..after that 🦞porridge I'm definitely adding this place to my list. Duck flippers are too wild for me. Peking duck looks amazing. 2 rounds of dessert works for me especially the strawberry and cream donuts. Yum!

Best food in Vancouver is on east side and the thousand off homles on street give you the best food you ever have, your appetite is huge 👌

Yeah the lobster was super Chinese Asian style so I wouldn’t expect people outside of Asian to like / understand it

Spent 2 years working in Singapore in the late 60's really miss the Makan stands and the food...
