Button Forms for Upholstery

Simply cut a square of fabric large enough to cover the rounded portion of the button; then, press the two button pieces together. The button's teeth will hold the fabric securely in place. One summer my father had a friend in the Valley Me and a couple of cousins to assemble buttons for couture fashions wild..ate fast food all day and swam paid us well so we had school clothing money easiest job i ever had.

@linedeyes You can use any type of heavy twine to secure the buttons. I used a pre-waxed twine from Sailrite part number 29206.

Is there a way you can do this without going through the back of the furniture?

Yes, if your application has a frame structure, sometimes you can remove the fabric cover on the backside and secure the line coming off the button to a wooden part of the frame.
