- www.sailrite.co... Dress up your project with fabric covered buttons. Simply cut a square of fabric large enough to cover the rounded portion of the button; then, press the two button pieces together. The button's teeth will hold the fabric securely in place. Use buttons on cushions, pillows, holdbacks, quilts.... Made from nickel plated brass, washable, dry cleanable.
Years later and this video is still extremely helpful, thank you!
Sailrite demo videos are great! Products are great too and I’ve gotten awesome results and a sense of accomplishment in learning new skills and making zippered cushion covers and now how to add buttons! Thanks!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that our demo videos and products have helped you learn new skills and achieve great results. Keep up the amazing work!

Haha this bloke's voice almost sounds like a slow motion version of Brad Pitt's in Inglorious Bastards lol Good tutorial, very helpful.
@linedeyes You can use any type of heavy twine to secure the buttons. I used a pre-waxed twine from Sailrite part number 29206.
Is there a way you can do this without going through the back of the furniture?
Yes, if your application has a frame structure, sometimes you can remove the fabric cover on the backside and secure the line coming off the button to a wooden part of the frame.
What kind of twine are you using? I found a few options on the site and am not sure which is needed for this type of project.
Thanks!
What is the name of the needle you use please??
