It's crazy because when Freddy T said "the fumble will still be there," I'm thinking to myself, so will Big Ben's 2 interceptions with 1 being a pick 6. That game was a lot more than the fumble.
Okay but go back on Ben’s pick six in that game….his arm was batted at the line of scrimmage and Mike Wallace had a step on his man (remember Wallace was burning defenders all of 2010) It was 7-0 and if Ben gets all of that throw it’s easily 7-7 instead of 14-0….momentum was all Green Bay after that pick six….

Although I agree about the overall point, as someone who puts everything into a skill, craft, etc it’s natural to want the respect of your peers and targeted market base. That is when it gets tough. Personally I don’t have that level of passion for something, which is unfortunate, but it does allow a lot of folks to not care.
Mendenhall was a monster on the field! For me personally don't ever remember the fumble. I do remember Ben's interception tho 😂 I hear Bro still dealing with this, and in Jesus name, I am praying for his complete healing and that he's able to use his trial as testimony to heal others 🙏🏿

I've always been a football fan of Rashard Menenhall since his Illinois days. He's hurting and I wish it was different for him and I hope he finds peace. This is also the first time I've watched The Pivot. Ryan Clark is the captain. He combines intellect, honesty, compassion, positivity and courage like few can do. He calls it like it is and makes it real. He'll call out Rashard and Sean Payton equally and artfully. And Fred is raw and real and adds a caring sensibility to the show. I'll be adding this to my podcast list.

As a Steelers fan, I always felt like you could only blame the man so much for the fumble. People forget that Rashad really helped carry the offense through Ben's suspension. Without him they aren't even in the position to be a playoff team and thats the damn truth. The man is hurting and this fan base should be better then beating a man down. I served in the military during the 1st Gulf War. What it seems like to me is the Mr. Mendenhall is suffering from a form of PTSD from that moment. The VA has veterans go through group sessions to help deal with our PTSD. It seems like this episode was his form of group therapy. One that was really needed I might add. I wish him well in his life and recovery.
This interview by far was the scariest interview I have seen of a former NFL player . I pray and hope Reshard can find some help and closure that he needs. This was a pure cry for help and this man deserves come compassion and humanity. NFLPA and Pittsburgh Steelers need to reach back and help him so he can help him and his family. As a hardcore steelers fan this one hit different. As a steeler fan who has most definitely put basically all the blame of that loss on him (not publicly or in his comments or anything of that nature) I can truly say I apologize. It’s very tough seeing one of your favorite teams players hurting so bad and not having the answers to fix an issue that WE AS FANS have created and made it much bigger then it ever needed to be. One play doesn’t define a player nor define the Super Bowl loss. Was it a big play? Yes. Was it the only reason we lost? Not even close. Wishing mendenhall the best and nothing but love, prosperity and growth for him. As a Steelers fan we stand with you. You didn’t deserve any of this and we as fans need to stop being so quick to tweet and we need to sit back and think about what we wanna say before we say it. I'm 54. I've been a lifelong Steelers fan, and I've watched every playoff game and Super Bowl that they've played since I was 7. I remember that game, and the funny thing is that I forgot about the fumble. Don't sweat it my brother. You gotta remember fan is short for fanatic and some of them are quite unbalanced.

It's not many steelers RBs I remember. Jerome Bettis, who had a crucial fumble. Willie Parker, Leveon Bell and Mendenhall. Mendenhall was a beast. He a had a rumble at crucial part in a super bowl, just like many QBs RBs WRs had turnovers during the super bowl. Mendenhall as you know you was a great running back and you are absolutely right. As a lifelong steeler fan. I remember watching that Super Bowl and I remember feeling the secondary seemed to struggle and that’s how the Steelers got behind and stayed behind the whole game. I remember really loving rashard and he was obviously more than just a ball player. He’s a smart dude. The punks harassing him got nothing. Rashard using his brain to go beyond the game is what it’s all about. I have to young athletes in my house. They’re passionate about competing but I tell them you gotta have something else. Man this conversation is why I absolutely love watching The Pivot. It’s the fact that men can have real conversations, open up and be vulnerable with each other and show love with no judgement shows why these guys are the best in the podcast game. Big kudos to RC, Fred & Chan man.

It's crazy because when Freddy T said "the fumble will still be there," I'm thinking to myself, so will Big Ben's 2 interceptions with 1 being a pick 6. That game was a lot more than the fumble.
Okay but go back on Ben’s pick six in that game….his arm was batted at the line of scrimmage and Mike Wallace had a step on his man (remember Wallace was burning defenders all of 2010)
It was 7-0 and if Ben gets all of that throw it’s easily 7-7 instead of 14-0….momentum was all Green Bay after that pick six….

Although I agree about the overall point, as someone who puts everything into a skill, craft, etc it’s natural to want the respect of your peers and targeted market base. That is when it gets tough. Personally I don’t have that level of passion for something, which is unfortunate, but it does allow a lot of folks to not care.
Mendenhall was a monster on the field! For me personally don't ever remember the fumble. I do remember Ben's interception tho 😂 I hear Bro still dealing with this, and in Jesus name, I am praying for his complete healing and that he's able to use his trial as testimony to heal others 🙏🏿

I've always been a football fan of Rashard Menenhall since his Illinois days. He's hurting and I wish it was different for him and I hope he finds peace. This is also the first time I've watched The Pivot. Ryan Clark is the captain. He combines intellect, honesty, compassion, positivity and courage like few can do. He calls it like it is and makes it real. He'll call out Rashard and Sean Payton equally and artfully. And Fred is raw and real and adds a caring sensibility to the show. I'll be adding this to my podcast list.

It's the constant blame and attacks no matter what he's done since or before that, and the inability to actually confront the people. He, like many athletes, is used to either physically or verbally being able to confront or silence anyone who has something to say about them.

I served in the military during the 1st Gulf War. What it seems like to me is the Mr. Mendenhall is suffering from a form of PTSD from that moment. The VA has veterans go through group sessions to help deal with our PTSD. It seems like this episode was his form of group therapy. One that was really needed I might add. I wish him well in his life and recovery.

I can feel his hurt and RC, thank you for being the man that you are. He needed to hear that apology. Certainly you're not the reason for his hurt, and it's easy to dismiss armchair quarterbacks, but having a teammate also "validate" the comments he's been hearing made it rough. I can't fathom the pain that man has been in since that fumble...could see it in this episode. I pray he finds a way to move past that play so he can put that energy into writing more screenplays. This was a powerful episode as it allowed Rashad to thoroughly explain his thought process behind the tweet and have an open and honest conversation with two solid brothers with good hearts. My prayer is that he can move forward and not look back on the pain of yesterday. I also pray that he has an opportunity to sit down with a solid therapist to continue to put words to his pain. I wonder what would have come of him posting every message that he received from those lame thumb thugs who had the audacity to give their two cents rather than publishing the tweet he chose.

As a hardcore steelers fan this one hit different. As a steeler fan who has most definitely put basically all the blame of that loss on him (not publicly or in his comments or anything of that nature) I can truly say I apologize. It’s very tough seeing one of your favorite teams players hurting so bad and not having the answers to fix an issue that WE AS FANS have created and made it much bigger then it ever needed to be. One play doesn’t define a player nor define the Super Bowl loss. Was it a big play? Yes. Was it the only reason we lost? Not even close. Wishing mendenhall the best and nothing but love, prosperity and growth for him. As a Steelers fan we stand with you. You didn’t deserve any of this and we as fans need to stop being so quick to tweet and we need to sit back and think about what we wanna say before we say it. I'm 54. I've been a lifelong Steelers fan, and I've watched every playoff game and Super Bowl that they've played since I was 7. I remember that game, and the funny thing is that I forgot about the fumble. Don't sweat it my brother. You gotta remember fan is short for fanatic and some of them are quite unbalanced.
This man allowed some trolls to inspire a disgusting, racist tweet. He was a great player whose SB fumble didn't define him. It's not many steelers RBs I remember. Jerome Bettis, who had a crucial fumble. Willie Parker, Leveon Bell and Mendenhall. Mendenhall was a beast. As a lifelong steeler fan. I remember watching that Super Bowl and I remember feeling the secondary seemed to struggle and that’s how the Steelers got behind and stayed behind the whole game. I remember really loving rashard and he was obviously more than just a ball player. He’s a smart dude.
The punks harassing him got nothing. Rashard using his brain to go beyond the game is what it’s all about. I have to young athletes in my house. They’re passionate about competing but I tell them you gotta have something else. Music, books, art, anything.
