Thank you very informative...my 2 yr old niece will be having open heart surgery today-Secundum ASD repair...never thought id be watching these videos😫
Hi thank you so much for the lecture and also I wanted to ask you one question sir, my 10 months old son have PDA 5mm in size so, is it we have to go for surgical procedure or it can be close by itself.
I understand all your doubts and fears you are experiencing. My daughter now 33y old was operated in France at the age of 13 months. Proper diagnosis at the early stage saved her life. The whole intervention went very well and post operation recovery was very fast. She was on her legs and walking about 2-3 days after surgery.
Hi David, I had an echo done for episodes of tachycardia since childhood and aneurysmal atrial septum was noted. It was also noted that PFO was not seen. Should I get a second opinion and second echo to be sure? I’ve read that aneurysmal atrial septum without PFO is uncommon...
Hello! I know this is 2 years after but did you get another echo or any answers? I have recently been diagnosed with the same thing and struggling to find answers
My daughter had procedure done on her ASD by catheter intervention but it failed to close..The cardiac specialist said the position didn’t went well..She is now 18yo and asymptomatic. What piece of advice will you please give me on her situation?
I'm 53 and still have ASD. it can get smaller as you grow. I was told if you still have it when you turn 28 you will have it for life. so far it's true.. but no it doesn't grow bigger just cause your heart grows
Unfortunately I’m 25 and they just discovered the hole in my heart. I deal with symptoms and I hope the surgery can fix that issue.

One question :when u have a small/medium asd as an Adult,,, will the hole get bigger as u grow or it remains the same?
Obviously because as we grow up our body organs also grow so foramen ovale become large and Start showing symptoms...
