    Unfortunately I’m 25 and they just discovered the hole in my heart. I deal with symptoms and I hope the surgery can fix that issue.

    Hi thank you so much for the lecture and also I wanted to ask you one question sir, my 10 months old son have PDA 5mm in size so, is it we have to go for surgical procedure or it can be close by itself.

      I understand all your doubts and fears you are experiencing. My daughter now 33y old was operated in France at the age of 13 months. Proper diagnosis at the early stage saved her life. The whole intervention went very well and post operation recovery was very fast. She was on her legs and walking about 2-3 days after surgery.

    Hi David, I had an echo done for episodes of tachycardia since childhood and aneurysmal atrial septum was noted. It was also noted that PFO was not seen. Should I get a second opinion and second echo to be sure? I’ve read that aneurysmal atrial septum without PFO is uncommon...

    One question :when u have a small/medium asd as an Adult,,, will the hole get bigger as u grow or it remains the same?

    • @shrikumar4402
      @shrikumar4402 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Obviously because as we grow up our body organs also grow so foramen ovale become large and Start showing symptoms...

      I'm 53 and still have ASD. it can get smaller as you grow. I was told if you still have it when you turn 28 you will have it for life. so far it's true.. but no it doesn't grow bigger just cause your heart grows

    What size is considered small in a newborn?
    Also, will it grow with age?

    What about a 31mm? I dont see how a child could have that size but ive read that the hole dosent get larger with time. ??
