      Yes, we release and hunt some of our pen raised birds later in the year once DNR and wild birds become scarce.

    If you want a pointing lab ,never let him flush ,you go in to bird flushing with your feet .one person telling him what you want .He is pointing now reward him with the flush and retrieve.

      This lab is 12 months old. He picked up the pointing skills naturally. We prefer he ran after and flush birds because often times the birds run away in high grass and it’s difficult to find them. Just our preference but everyone has their own method.
