Good stuff as always Hamish. I like that you also go straight to the horse’s mouth for info. Too many SEO people on LinkedIn and TH-cam I see making crap up unfortunately so it makes me wanna tune out. Thanks for testing all this too. I have come to similar conclusions based off my own sites and creating content and seeing what Google likes and what they don’t like. Huge text walls I completely would agree with you. Break up that stuff, even just splitting them into smaller paragraphs, adding more lists and tables etc. The worst advice I saw on LinkedIn is people still saying you need to always add 1000 words more than the competitor to “rank.” Doesn’t seem like that’s what Google really cares about, more that your content is actually good, answers the questions etc and is easy to read.
To ensure each post is quality I recommend using a tool like neuron writer to ensure your hitting the target word count and including relevant lsi terms then I recommend optimizing on page seo with rank math then use the harpa seo audit to ensure your creating the blog posts accordingly to eeat guidelines
So Hamish can you get a good quality score with only 10 posts on your site - I recently put slot of work into a pillar post that has images tables, internal links and lists but it’s still not indexed after 7 days- what I did notice however is that my updated home page is indexed with the new info I added. Is it just the case that I need 100 posts at least before google considers my site as good?
Do you think that content being 'detected as AI' can still rank and get indexed? Or doesn't that matter as long as the content provides value as early in the article as possible?
They don’t care about ai generated content - they care about bad content. 2men is 100% ai generated and it’s getting around 320 clicks per day right now. I have plans to get it to 1k clicks a day this year.
I’ve done it both ways - handwritten, AI and hybrid and doesn’t matter. Same stuff Hamish said still applies especially with formatting and making sure it’s easy to read and has images or at least a featured image somewhere. Some of the top performing pages I’ve made were part due to AI, ChatGPT or Claude with heavy editing at the end. I’ve gone back and edited older handwritten content, resubmitted it to Google and suddenly it popped off big time as well. Been using Bard more and more to give me insights and stuff.
Great video, also, did you catch the Author Image Error on these pages you shared for 2Men? It's showing in the grey author box I caught it a few times. That is impacting all pages, and I was dealing with this issue before creating a 404 error.
Hammish, do you have updated instructions for the playground assistant? I have been using your stuff for months now and it keeps improving. The playground is what I've had the most success with and was curious if you have updated your instructions for that. Thanks and keep up the great work!!
But is it this errors are detected by Google or just people leaving early and Google seeing that people come back quickly and go to the next search result.
Is there a report or app that shopify makes that can alert me if I have an issue like a broken link or other HTML issue? What about other issues that can cause you to affect your website rank less?
I'm shoutin' back! Great stuff, Hamish. I have 4 pages that went from the basement's basement to the top 5 on Bing and DDG. But they are only in the 20's with Google. Is that because of the amount of content G has over the other SE's? Or are there different/excluded ranking factors to take into account? Is this where backlinks come into play?
Great video and I loved how you suggested going straight to the horses mouth for information. My question is about your websites. Did you create information websites to be able to have ads and or affiliate links? I sell vintage inspired clothing but definitely see that creating sites focusing on niche information may be a great idea
But Loren ipsum from Kyle Roof tells us content is not important. You're referring to bounce rate yes? 3 thousand words of average ai content takes time to read through, which won't affect bounce rate negatively? Have I got this wrong?
Thank you for another highly informative video. Having to start a new website is crazy fallout. Just goes to show you can´t afford to take any shortcuts. Aside from having access to the Search Console is there a way to spot that this has happened to a site or domain name you are considering buying?
Wait what? He would just start a new one?! Some of us can’t do that. There’s no way that there’s no way to fix it right? I feel like I’m having some of these issues with my site which is an e-commerce site and a brand. I can’t just start a new one! Is there not any other advice?
Why would you think this website would rank if you're not doing any work? Is this supposed to be rocket science? It's okay to use chat GPT but your article will still need work. It will need editing, real quotes, relative images. Real details and meat. Pump and dump doesn't work. At least not for long. Plus the site design looks like trash. You can't have bad site design. The site doesn't have to be Picasso, but there's tons of patterns that you can have on your site to make it look great.
No offense but that site is complete shite thats why its not indexed. I have 3-4 AI written blogs with 400 pages or more each, and everything is indexed and sending good traffic.

What is a key takeaway image table?

11:15 You do have an error with the Author image, in the footer.
Looks like in your author box that the image is missing on 2men

Hamish, thanks for the video. Question... do you have any insights on > Why is GPT 4 capped at 25 inputs now?
Great video, also, did you catch the Author Image Error on these pages you shared for 2Men? It's showing in the grey author box I caught it a few times. That is impacting all pages, and I was dealing with this issue before creating a 404 error.
Do you think it's a problem with Article Fiesta and not your site?

Great content guys 💯💯💯
Is there any chat gpt 4 alternative you guys recommend .I am at waitlist and i need to write good content as soon as possible.thank you
I used a lot Perplexity.
But is it this errors are detected by Google or just people leaving early and Google seeing that people come back quickly and go to the next search result.
It’s a mix of everything that’s the point - but errors are detected by Google (html errors, formatting errors)
take the responses and then ask bard to rewreite them so they are google SEO and Google Trend friendly

backlinks still work really good on bing but become less effective on Google unless you build a strong profile within over 13k backlinks

Didn't Google just update their terms allowing for AI content to rank?
You’ve completely missed the point. Watch the video again and revise your comment afterwards. 😂

I am Whiting an article with 600-700 words article with 4 image and à TH-cam vidéo;should I extend word count?
It depends on the keyword your targeting, there is a word count range depending on what your writing on, I recommend using neuron writer for this

Unpublish all the blogs that aren’t getting indexed, Change them, then post them at a slower rate with a new url
Looks excatly like another youtubers video.. intresting
Your articles on the example website are for gaming and make-up. Nothing about tiny homes.

Use the indexing API
forcing indexing pages using indexer doesn't help at all
I guess Google isn't as into AI-powered CRIME as many had hoped.
RIP Surfy!
Quick tipi have a great ai writing solution i believe to be better than koala
