I haven't heard Alabama State sound this confident in a long time😮. And the Stingettes put a sting in the GG's 😮.......... This is all needed to be said.
Bama State got this one but still props to Alcorn 💯 Bama State gets the slight edge by arrangements but both bands sound good 👍🏾 This was the best battle this weekend because the other battles were slaw and boring 👎🏾
I know there is a bama director at Corn now. So it's a battle for sure. Love both bands, which sound great. The best 5th of the weekend. Im leaning towards Bama on song selections. Great job bands.
Both teams were good but GGs for the win! But PRINCESS ATE THAT DISS STAND!! And she should’ve been front and center for that one!! Like gurl switch places with her!! You knew you couldn’t sell that stand!
Both bands did great! Dance styles were different but I was blown away how so few GGs were able to keep my attention and give the grind. Stingettes gave me classical moves and GGs gave me umphhh!!! GGs get the win for me.
I don’t know what it is about Alcorn’s arrangements but they start to just sound like noise after a while. It’s not even the instrumentalist because they sound good playing whatever they are playing but it just doesn’t sound like actual music to me. Sounds like a band playing an arrangement, if that makes sense. 🤷🏾♂️ Both sounded great here but I’d give the W to Bama State! Their sound is unique as hell, rich and dark. I prefer their arrangements too. Great job to both!
You hit this right on the nose because I feel the exact same way about Alcorn. They sound good but the arrangements just missing that one thing to be great… can’t put my finger on it but it’s something 🤷🏾♂️ lol
Alcorn has a weak Btone section! Their counter melodies seem to be from the mellos. Counter melodies through low brass(Btones) are an HBCU staple. However, right now Alcorn seems to be top heavy.

You know exactly what Bama State is playing because they’re always in the correct key. Alcorn is the most polished they’ve ever been, but was not the most polished in this battle.
@@Mixedgigi Look I’m no dance expert or anything, I mainly pay attention to sound, but for one of my first times really paying attention to it, they just looked a little sloppy but not bad though it could just be cleaned up a lot.
Asu mellos alone chewed alcorn ,, with them empty parts in making love ,,, alcorn sound good but they had missing parts and were kinda low bama ran thru tnem this battle
I'm a stingette fan. But they need to get out this pretty girl act and show out sometimes. They have to many girls on that squad to not show out. Those 6 GGs girls put a whooping on the stingette. But it's ok. We will get it soon. 🎉🎉🎉

I’m glad Alcorn cleaned up there sound this year, GGs are still kinda sloppy. ASU and Stingettes gave a lot more dynamic and captivation.
Saying GG's and sloppy in the same statement is crazy. they've always been known to be clean .
