Just a few of things about Slump... SKZ was the first k-pop group on the First Take channel. It was a Japanese only channel before them. Han wrote this song. From hearing him talk about it, he was at a point that his anxiety was getting to him and it was making it difficult for him to write. He decided to push through and write about it. That's how Slump was written and, ironically, writing the song broke him out of that slump he was feeling.
We had never heard of this channel before but it's such a fun concept.. even though you could see how nervous they were! It hurts to hear that Han was going through this at the time. We're glad he was able to overcome it. The way he's able to share these kinds of feelings and emotions with the world will never not be amazing to us.
Actually I also heard that when Han was writing about his feelings at the time, Chan was the one who saw what he'd written in his notebook and told him he should let him arrange it and make it into a song for him and that was why Han ended up being able to put together his feelings that he'd written down and was able to make it into a song with Chan's help. Originally, Han didn't write the lyrics intending on making it into a song, he was just writing down his feelings at the time and how he hated music and everything sounded the same to him (like the lyric in the song). Chan saw and thought it might be good if Han made what he was going through into a song, using what he'd written down as a baseline.
slump is my favorite japanese track of theirs. Even tho I listen to the english version more... this song is just so personal and dear to me. Gotta love hannies songwriting!
I love the first take videos,they did one for 애(Mixtape : OH) and for Scars (another one of their Japanese Songs). Lee Know voice is so beautiful,i feel like i'm in heaven when he sings;i mean all of their voices,especially when they go high and you're all shocked. It's a shame Slump is so short,it's only a bit more than 2 minutes
If I had to choose my most favourite song I have ever heard in my life, that would be "slump"! It is too short, I agree, that's why I have japanese, english and korean versions one after another. Han wrote this song in 2019 when he felt that all other members are moving forward, but he doesn't, he lost his motivation and didn't want to do anything. Chan helped him to write this song and to get out of the slump.

When you consider that Clé: Levanter was the first album after Woojin left, the song "You Can Stay" feels even more emotional to me. The album was delayed because they had to re-record all of his parts. I can't imagine how scared they were that Stay would abandon them. I'm sure that Chan took losing one of the members as his own burden, whatever the actual cause was. The pressure he must have been under as this album came out was probably crushing. It makes it feel like a plea almost when I listen to it with that in mind. Like, you can stay, it's okay, we're still here with you.
They never miss with their Japanese tracks! Slump is such a meaningful song. Apparently Han wrote Run around the same time as it, which kinda makes a lot of sense. You should watch the MVs for Oh, On Track, Be Me and The View, all together because it is all one storyline. (But definitely don’t forget The First Take for Oh!)

For the mixtapes I recommend listening to the ot8 versions too (from skz 2021 album) because some of the lyrics changed compared to when they were 9 members. Also if you plan on watching the placebo (mixtape 1) MV you should watch skz code ep 14 and 15 to understand the story line (it was their Christmas special episodes). Also from all the mixtape MVs, mixtape 4 is actually a street version and mixtape 5 doesn't have an MV.

@@NewChapterReactions If you separate out Mixtape: On Track and the others in the little side story, I suggest watching them all in one go. The story follows a group of high school friends in a film club. Then feelings happen. And stuff. So...Make those a separate section. Be prepared for feels. The order goes, "Mixtape: On Track", "Unveil: B Me", "Mixtape: OH", and "The View". I am sad that B Me only got an unveil track, and not a full video. But it's part of the story they made. And these songs all fall on different albums.....So....Watching them together messes up the time line a tiny bit, but I think of these as a separate universe. They don't seem to fall in any of the other lore out there.
Slump is my favorite Stray Kids’ song. I love it every single time I hear it for the past 3 years now, and never get tired of it. Love the instrumental version and the English version as well. This live version is great and it’s amazing that they sound just like the recording.
You could do all the English Versions of songs together, they're all great (except I prefer double knot in Korean, no hate) Top and Slump are such good song, and if I remember right TOP has an MV with the anime scenes mixed in? It's been a while since I seen it and Slump, another Han song! I knew when it came out that it was his cause there's just something distinct in his songs. Also just fun fact: skz were the first Korean group to record 1st take (with Slump), the first to record a Korean song (Mixtape:OH) there and the first Kpop to return thrice (3rd time with Scars).
I'm actually very curious to hear these english versions.. Honestly we should have guessed that it was Han's song. He does such an amazing job of conveying emotions through his lyrics. That's such a fun fact 🥰. We love hearing about their accomplishments!

Funny you said it feels like you're in writers block mode because this song's written by Han when he's in a slump and didn't feel satisfied with whatever he wrote at that time. He wrote this song and run (from skz player in the same time frame). It was a rough time for skz and han individually.
slump is definitely one of my favorite songs. i'm not sure anyone has mentioned this, but their other ost song is 'neverending story' or 'the story that won't end' which will also blow you away with the vocals. there's a live performance of it, otherwise it's just lyric video options.
For the Mixtapes.. I know lots of people want just the OT8 version, but I'd personally like you to react to both. Mixtape #1-4 all have a video (#1/Placebo is a special video, but it's OT8, #2/Behind the Light is like a compilation concert/behind the scenes video with 9 members, #3/For You has an actual MV with 9 members, #4/Broken Compass is a Street Version with 9 members) but there are lyric versions for the Mixtape #1 original version and lyric videos for the rest as Ot8. Maybe it's asking too much, but I would love to have you react to ALL versions - It would be a shame to miss out on the videos done, but also a shame to miss the new lyrics vs old lyrics and who does what. As others have noted, there is a separate side story line with Mixtape: OH (I don't have the korean letters, but it's pronounced ae) and Mixtape: On Track. I believe the order for that storyline is (STAY correct me if I'm wrong, still a Baby STAY here): Mixtape: On Track, Mixtape: OH, B Me, The View. From what I've read, the later mixtapes are released as singles, sometimes as special event type things. Like On Track started a new side story, but also heralded the return of Hyunjin from his hiatus. Timeout was for STAY's birthday on 8/1.

There was a concert they did recently where Stay did a fan project for them and they sung the end part of You can Stay to the boys. The whole audience were singing the "thank you for bringing me here, you brought be here" part the chorus and everything. It was the sweetest thing to see. It was a song for Stay but it can also be from us to them as well. The fact that they say you can rest here, like they are our safe space. If you have hardships in your life, come to us and rest a bit. Skz loves us just as much as we love them. That is so rare to find to this extent.
Slump was amongst the first songs I came across when I discovered Stray Kids. I used to confuse Han and Changbin, because they looked alike with the same hairstyle. Tower of God is a South Korean manhwa released as a webtoon, and I think it was quite popular. So SKZ were really excited to be asked to write the intro (Top) and outro (Slump) for the Japanese anime. They are all really into anime. The anime was dubbed into English and Korean, and SKZ wrote an English and Korean version of the songs for each version. Top also got a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. It has been mentioned that Han wrote this. He had hit a particularly bad patch and didn't want to write or sing or anything. He kept a journal of the period and Chan helped him put it into song. It perfectly suited the anime. Stray Kids were the first foreign artists to perform on First Take, and there was a bit of backlash, until the Japanese heard the song and how well SKZ pronounce their Japanese. They went on to be the first artists to perform a non-Japanese song with Mixtape OH, and (I think) the first to do two performance in one day. They did Scars and Mixtape OH on the same day. Both Chan and Han learned Japanese from the TWICE members, so speak with a regional accent 🙃 which I think endears them to the Japanese as well.
The fact that Han wrote Slump when he was experiencing a slump and when he didn’t feel like doing music anymore. The lyrics “how could I ever get used to the fact that the songs and the lyrics, they all sound the same” are just so 😭
Top is the opening of Tower of God and Slump is the closing. I decided to see Tower of God because of Stray Kids. I am waiting for the next season, and I hope Stray Kids do once again the opening and closig. STRAY KIDS WORLD DOMINATION!!
TOP also has an mv for the korean version called unveil: track top (same setting but different shots) and probably the one with anime shots as well. TOP's instrumental is top tier, pun intended.
You can STAY became my personality when I heard it like it summed up how Skz's music soothed me (as much as the members did when I learned more about them and how they wrote the song and the majority of their discography) TOP is a good sequel to Hellevator haha coz while Hellevator said they'll go up to the penthouse, this is them going through the process of going up there, and The View is when they reach a peak of their career feeling grateful for their hard work while also looking ahead as they go further up. Slump was the song that took over my TikTok fyp just when I downloaded TikTok. It was a whole emo fyp for me (esp since it has an English ver and every emotional song skz had flooded me after that) also they flexed a lot with slump 😂

You Can STAY - I read from other STAY that this song was telling/asking STAY that after WJ left, they can still stay as SKZ will continue on. They went through such a tough time. My heart just goes out to them. TOP is the Intro to Tower of God. Slump is the Outro. I am pretty sure he talked about it, he was in a writing slump, then finally wrote this song (about being in a slump) and the guys just all loved it. It was not written with the anime in mind at all I think, but it does fit the anime so they chose it as the outro. They did both TOP and Slump in Japanese, Korean, and English.
I would recommend watching the stay surprise video they made for stray kıds on their district 9 tour, it's so Heart warming and wholesome (and so emotional i cry every time i watch it lol)

It’s crazy that they make the tracks in Korean as a guide before translating to Japanese but I somehow always prefer the Japanese versions over the Korean ones. All I know, You can STAY is stray kids saying thank you for staying even though the rough patches that we were going through (one member leaving amongst the preparation of the concert back in 2019) and it's up to the fans whether to stay or not... which in my opinion hurts... big time. SLUMP! My babe of a song. Nothing screamed at me more than this song. It screams close to home for me. Considering that Han wrote it after having a Slump of his own... He understood me. YES SLUMP! My baby, one of my absolute favorites among Han's songs ㅠㅠ I honestly haven't even looked at the other songs yet, I only saw SLUMP and went crazy lol :D Going to edit it a bit later tho, I feel like I need to watch something to heal ^^ Edit #1: TOP JAPANESE VERSION JSHJSBDNAHDBNA Edit #2: YOU CAN STAY MY LOVE OMFG 0:55 MIXTAPES!!!!!! It can be basically interpreted in 4 ways: Stray Kids singing it to STAYs, STAYs singing it to Stray Kids, Stray Kids singing it to Stray Kids (because they're family), and STAYs singing it to STAYs (because we're family too!). I like how you can comfort anyone just with the line "You can STAY", it gives such strong emotional bond and it's beautiful. There was an article back in 2022 where some unknown randoms decided to rank Stray Kids' songs to find out the most loved one. The article was just trash, because there's no way STAYs would say any of those bullshit about Stray Kids' song. The author of the article wrote that "You can STAY" is very repetitive and boring and that the song feels empty. I guess they just don't have taste, because STAYs LOVE this song the way it was made by our Kids 12:28 I am PREPARED. I'm so in love with the music video for "TOP" haha :D It's very beautiful, the storyline and the choreo amaze me ^^ 22:22 Basically, from what I've heard, what the main protagonist has to do in the anime is to climb up that tower because he wants his friend to come back after she left him (to climb the tower). There's a lot of challenges as he does it and so the lyrics of "TOP" also say "Look up in the sky, keep up" and "Go up" 31:11 I KNOW RIGHT??? That's a crime actually that SLUMP is so short :( They still made this song unforgettable though, and there's no way I would love it less just because it's not a long track. The lyrics are so beautiful and so painful, I've found myself in them countless times, and I always go back to it whenever I'm having a slump. Han is such a genius for writing this! Han jisung is the 4th generation ace of kpop. He can sing (can hit female key), dance, rap, good rap with a flow and speed, one of the main rappers, produce, compose, and co-arranger of their songs. He's my bias wrecker my Quokka! ❤️😍
You can stay is actually a sad song. They have the idea to make that song because of woojin's departure. This is also because of hyunjin have say don't live us you must stay there. If you pay attention in the music vidéo at one moment they have tears because this was the first concert without Woojin.

So TOP is the opening song to an anime called Tower of God and SLUMP is the ending song to the same anime Tower of God. Personally, I prefer SLUMP. SLUMP is probably my favorite Han Jisung song ever. Its so meaningful. Han wrote this in a time where he was really down. Music is an outlet for Han and usually writing helps him but at the time, he was in such a bad place that he didn't even want to write. Making music used to make him happy but instead it did the opposite and made him not want to make music. His slump was so bad that Han was considering whether or not he still wanted to be an idol. Luckily 3Racha and the rest of Stray Kids were there for him and supported him and Han was able to overcome his slump and find his love for music again
I don't remember everything and probably I'm wrong, but 'Tower of God' is about climbing a tower, where every floor has a test the characters have to struggle to pass, so they can keep on climbing the tower because, at the Top, you can finally see the stars (and make a wish, I don't remember well). At the beginning, the only friend of the main character leaves him alone (like really alone because there's nothing and nobody else in his world) to climb the tower to see the stars, so he follows her because she was his everything. So both songs go great with SKZ themes of face adversities, follow your dreams, get to win through struggle, feeling like you've been left behind, find that someone special and themselves along the way, etc.

So I looked up who sang them and fell in ❤️ with SKZ instantly. The lyrics are so beautiful and get alot of inspiration from the anime. It's about a boy whose childhood friend runs away and abandons him to try and reach the Tower of God, He goes after her because he doesn't want to lose her. I'm so glad you did the First Take version of Slump. It really shows off their vocal talent, and the fact it's one take is amazing. Top MV (and skz japense MVs in general) is so beautiful and one of my favorite ! The best skz MV is with no doubt Scars ! But Top is so impressive too ! And the choreography ! I never saw it fully but I love all the little part I saw ! Slump !! Okay now comes the depressing part ! But first let me talk about the first take ! The first take is a japanese channel ! Stray kids were the first korean idol to ever sing on this show with Slump in 2020 ! And 1 year after they were the first korean artists to sing in korean with Mixtape Oh ! Okay now the story behind Slump. Slump is Han's song. At some point in his career he started to hate music. He didn't know what to do so Chan told him to write what he felt. Then later when Han was feeling better they arranged the lyrics and composed a song and you got Slump. I knew the japanese version but the first time I heard the english version I couldn't stop crying for hours, one of the reason being that I knew the story behind the lyrics. But another reason is that the english lyrics are way more devastating. After that for months I was listening to this song everyday, the english version. Fun fact about me I always prefer the first version I heard and basically hate all the other versions. But Slump is the only exception, I only and will only listen to the english version. This little story about Slump is basically the only reason as to why Han's song are so important to me.

Just a few of things about Slump... SKZ was the first k-pop group on the First Take channel. It was a Japanese only channel before them. Han wrote this song. From hearing him talk about it, he was at a point that his anxiety was getting to him and it was making it difficult for him to write. He decided to push through and write about it. That's how Slump was written and, ironically, writing the song broke him out of that slump he was feeling.
We had never heard of this channel before but it's such a fun concept.. even though you could see how nervous they were! It hurts to hear that Han was going through this at the time. We're glad he was able to overcome it. The way he's able to share these kinds of feelings and emotions with the world will never not be amazing to us.
Actually I also heard that when Han was writing about his feelings at the time, Chan was the one who saw what he'd written in his notebook and told him he should let him arrange it and make it into a song for him and that was why Han ended up being able to put together his feelings that he'd written down and was able to make it into a song with Chan's help. Originally, Han didn't write the lyrics intending on making it into a song, he was just writing down his feelings at the time and how he hated music and everything sounded the same to him (like the lyric in the song). Chan saw and thought it might be good if Han made what he was going through into a song, using what he'd written down as a baseline.
Slump’s lyrics are so deep and I almost cried when I heard them first. I always love Han’s songwriting.

If I had to choose my most favourite song I have ever heard in my life, that would be "slump"! It is too short, I agree, that's why I have japanese, english and korean versions one after another. Han wrote this song in 2019 when he felt that all other members are moving forward, but he doesn't, he lost his motivation and didn't want to do anything. Chan helped him to write this song and to get out of the slump.

When you consider that Clé: Levanter was the first album after Woojin left, the song "You Can Stay" feels even more emotional to me. The album was delayed because they had to re-record all of his parts. I can't imagine how scared they were that Stay would abandon them. I'm sure that Chan took losing one of the members as his own burden, whatever the actual cause was. The pressure he must have been under as this album came out was probably crushing. It makes it feel like a plea almost when I listen to it with that in mind. Like, you can stay, it's okay, we're still here with you.
TOP will always be my favorite Japanese release. I play it all the time

For the mixtapes I recommend listening to the ot8 versions too (from skz 2021 album) because some of the lyrics changed compared to when they were 9 members. Also if you plan on watching the placebo (mixtape 1) MV you should watch skz code ep 14 and 15 to understand the story line (it was their Christmas special episodes). Also from all the mixtape MVs, mixtape 4 is actually a street version and mixtape 5 doesn't have an MV.

@@NewChapterReactions If you separate out Mixtape: On Track and the others in the little side story, I suggest watching them all in one go. The story follows a group of high school friends in a film club. Then feelings happen. And stuff. So...Make those a separate section. Be prepared for feels.
The order goes, "Mixtape: On Track", "Unveil: B Me", "Mixtape: OH", and "The View".
I am sad that B Me only got an unveil track, and not a full video. But it's part of the story they made. And these songs all fall on different albums.....So....Watching them together messes up the time line a tiny bit, but I think of these as a separate universe. They don't seem to fall in any of the other lore out there.
Slump is my favorite Stray Kids’ song. I love it every single time I hear it for the past 3 years now, and never get tired of it. Love the instrumental version and the English version as well. This live version is great and it’s amazing that they sound just like the recording.

Funny you said it feels like you're in writers block mode because this song's written by Han when he's in a slump and didn't feel satisfied with whatever he wrote at that time. He wrote this song and run (from skz player in the same time frame). It was a rough time for skz and han individually.

slump is definitely one of my favorite songs. i'm not sure anyone has mentioned this, but their other ost song is 'neverending story' or 'the story that won't end' which will also blow you away with the vocals. there's a live performance of it, otherwise it's just lyric video options.

For the Mixtapes.. I know lots of people want just the OT8 version, but I'd personally like you to react to both. Mixtape #1-4 all have a video (#1/Placebo is a special video, but it's OT8, #2/Behind the Light is like a compilation concert/behind the scenes video with 9 members, #3/For You has an actual MV with 9 members, #4/Broken Compass is a Street Version with 9 members) but there are lyric versions for the Mixtape #1 original version and lyric videos for the rest as Ot8. Maybe it's asking too much, but I would love to have you react to ALL versions - It would be a shame to miss out on the videos done, but also a shame to miss the new lyrics vs old lyrics and who does what.
As others have noted, there is a separate side story line with Mixtape: OH (I don't have the korean letters, but it's pronounced ae) and Mixtape: On Track. I believe the order for that storyline is (STAY correct me if I'm wrong, still a Baby STAY here): Mixtape: On Track, Mixtape: OH, B Me, The View.
From what I've read, the later mixtapes are released as singles, sometimes as special event type things. Like On Track started a new side story, but also heralded the return of Hyunjin from his hiatus. Timeout was for STAY's birthday on 8/1.

There was a concert they did recently where Stay did a fan project for them and they sung the end part of You can Stay to the boys. The whole audience were singing the "thank you for bringing me here, you brought be here" part the chorus and everything. It was the sweetest thing to see. It was a song for Stay but it can also be from us to them as well. The fact that they say you can rest here, like they are our safe space. If you have hardships in your life, come to us and rest a bit. Skz loves us just as much as we love them. That is so rare to find to this extent.
Slump was amongst the first songs I came across when I discovered Stray Kids. I used to confuse Han and Changbin, because they looked alike with the same hairstyle.
Tower of God is a South Korean manhwa released as a webtoon, and I think it was quite popular. So SKZ were really excited to be asked to write the intro (Top) and outro (Slump) for the Japanese anime. They are all really into anime. The anime was dubbed into English and Korean, and SKZ wrote an English and Korean version of the songs for each version. Top also got a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
It has been mentioned that Han wrote this. He had hit a particularly bad patch and didn't want to write or sing or anything. He kept a journal of the period and Chan helped him put it into song. It perfectly suited the anime.
Stray Kids were the first foreign artists to perform on First Take, and there was a bit of backlash, until the Japanese heard the song and how well SKZ pronounce their Japanese. They went on to be the first artists to perform a non-Japanese song with Mixtape OH, and (I think) the first to do two performance in one day. They did Scars and Mixtape OH on the same day.
Both Chan and Han learned Japanese from the TWICE members, so speak with a regional accent 🙃 which I think endears them to the Japanese as well.
The fact that Han wrote Slump when he was experiencing a slump and when he didn’t feel like doing music anymore. The lyrics “how could I ever get used to the fact that the songs and the lyrics, they all sound the same” are just so 😭
Slump has an English version that has some lyrics that can make you tear up. Definitely listen to it!

Slump is a beautiful song, written by Han and he was definitely writing about a slump he was in. I am pretty sure he talked about it, he was in a writing slump, then finally wrote this song (about being in a slump) and the guys just all loved it. It was not written with the anime in mind at all I think, but it does fit the anime so they chose it as the outro. They did both TOP and Slump in Japanese, Korean, and English.

It’s crazy that they make the tracks in Korean as a guide before translating to Japanese but I somehow always prefer the Japanese versions over the Korean ones. It’s not easy to make something sound as good, and in this case…better, than the original after translating. It’s amazing!!!

All I know, You can STAY is stray kids saying thank you for staying even though the rough patches that we were going through (one member leaving amongst the preparation of the concert back in 2019) and it's up to the fans whether to stay or not... which in my opinion hurts... big time.

0:55 MIXTAPES!!!!!! I'm already so overly excited only because of this phrase lol :D But I love mixtapes (as they're all 3RACHA's tracks remade for the whole group). I couldn't choose my favorite among them for a really long time, but eventually I came to the conclusion that my go-to mixtape is going to be Mixtape:4 (or Broken Compass). Mixtapes 1, 3 and 5 are really good (I love-love-love them), and Mixtape:2 always makes me cry, but really, out of them all, Broken Compass must be my comfort song
5:36 "You Can STAY" is such a lovely song. It can be basically interpreted in 4 ways: Stray Kids singing it to STAYs, STAYs singing it to Stray Kids, Stray Kids singing it to Stray Kids (because they're family), and STAYs singing it to STAYs (because we're family too!). I like how you can comfort anyone just with the line "You can STAY", it gives such strong emotional bond and it's beautiful. There was an article back in 2022 where some unknown randoms decided to rank Stray Kids' songs to find out the most loved one. The article was just trash, because there's no way STAYs would say any of those bullshit about Stray Kids' song. The author of the article wrote that "You can STAY" is very repetitive and boring and that the song feels empty. I guess they just don't have taste, because STAYs LOVE this song the way it was made by our Kids

If you pay attention in the music vidéo at one moment they have tears because this was the first concert without Woojin.

Mixtape #1 (Placebo) has an OT8 MV, Mixtapes #2-4 each have an OT9 MV, and Mixtape #5 (Hoodie Season) is OT8 audio only. SKZ also released re-recorded OT8 audio versions of Mixtapes #1-4 under different song titles and with a few altered lyrics. So TOP is the opening song to an anime called Tower of God and SLUMP is the ending song to the same anime Tower of God. Personally, I prefer SLUMP. SLUMP is probably my favorite Han Jisung song ever. Its so meaningful. Han wrote this in a time where he was really down. Music is an outlet for Han and usually writing helps him but at the time, he was in such a bad place that he didn't even want to write. Making music used to make him happy but instead it did the opposite and made him not want to make music. His slump was so bad that Han was considering whether or not he still wanted to be an idol. Luckily 3Racha and the rest of Stray Kids were there for him and supported him and Han was able to overcome his slump and find his love for music again

I don't remember everything and probably I'm wrong, but 'Tower of God' is about climbing a tower, where every floor has a test the characters have to struggle to pass, so they can keep on climbing the tower because, at the Top, you can finally see the stars (and make a wish, I don't remember well). At the beginning, the only friend of the main character leaves him alone (like really alone because there's nothing and nobody else in his world) to climb the tower to see the stars, so he follows her because she was his everything.
So both songs go great with SKZ themes of face adversities, follow your dreams, get to win through struggle, feeling like you've been left behind, find that someone special and themselves along the way, etc.
TYSM for this reaction. 💓 Both Top and Slump hold a special place because they are the first SKZ songs I ever heard. I watched the anime and loved both songs. So I looked up who sang them and fell in ❤️ with SKZ instantly.
The lyrics are so beautiful and get alot of inspiration from the anime. It's about a boy whose childhood friend runs away and abandons him to try and reach the Tower of God, He goes after her because he doesn't want to lose her. I'm so glad you did the First Take version of Slump. It really shows off their vocal talent, and the fact it's one take is amazing. There are two more First Takes I hope you guys react to there is Scars and Mixtape: OH. Both are so incredible. As always you guys are the best, can't wait for the next reaction.

I always thought that this song was released at the perfect moment. It's a song that comfort stays and skz and it was released just after Woojin left.
And the majority, if not all, the clips of them crying actually come from their first concert after Woojin left. Woojin left when they were touring and they felt that stays might leave them so they cried.
Something I really love about Stray kids and that not other idol groups have is their relationship with the fans. The way Stray kids really think that everything they have is thanks to stays. They always put stays above anyone or anything.

Okay now comes the depressing part !
But first let me talk about the first take ! The first take is a japanese channel ! Stray kids were the first korean idol to ever sing on this show with Slump in 2020 ! And 1 year after they were the first korean artists to sing in korean with Mixtape Oh !
Okay now the story behind Slump. Slump is Han's song. At some point in his career he started to hate music. He didn't know what to do so Chan told him to write what he felt. Then later when Han was feeling better they arranged the lyrics and composed a song and you got Slump.
I knew the japanese version but the first time I heard the english version I couldn't stop crying for hours, one of the reason being that I knew the story behind the lyrics. But another reason is that the english lyrics are way more devastating. After that for months I was listening to this song everyday, the english version. Fun fact about me I always prefer the first version I heard and basically hate all the other versions. But Slump is the only exception, I only and will only listen to the english version.
This little story about Slump is basically the only reason as to why Han's song are so important to me.

Slump is another song written by 'ya boi' Han. He was truly going through a Slump, creatively where nothing would work for him. I'm so proud that he got through it by writing this masterpiece of a song!

Suggestion for Mixtape reactions - Mixtape 2 is one of my favorite songs (among the other 50 or so Stray Kids songs that are my favorites 😂) It is based on an original version by 3Racha which I think is really important. Hearing the 3Racha version gives a lot of insight into the struggles they had before Stray Kids and how far they’ve come. i wondered if i should leave a comment about this for a while now, as u guys got closer to mixtape: on track, but i figured i might as well say something so u guy can decide for urself. maybe someone already told y'all this, (since i remember guys also have ppl telling you which things to watch, and i thought those ppl def did a great job). but so! i know u guys are doing things chronologically (and i love that! i think u can see how they developed their sounds so clearly when u do it that way), but some videos (like ones with the 2 moons) also have a connecting story. i mentioned mixtape: on track bc that was one of the mv that started one storyline (that i personally call the "film club au" in my head XDDD). but basically the storyline of THAT universe goes in the order of: 1. mixtape: on track 2. b me unveil 3. mixtape: OH 4. the view
SOOOOOo if u guys want, watching all t hose together might make it easier to figure out the storyline, but that's up to y'all!
