CPO, just wanted you to know that I watched these videos about a jillion times, and today I installed my Smittybilt xrc fenders in no time thanks to you. Thanx again man!
i feel like there should be a rubber shimmy/spacer inbetween the flare and the fender... im thinking about grabbing these fenders too. especially after having a tree rip off my stock flares while rock crawling today, love how cheap they are and how they look.
I just installed my XRC’s last weekend along with some fairly inexpensive metal fender liners in the front because the trimmed stock liners looked like total shit. The gap was horrible! I’m very happy with everything and love the look. I sold my stock fenders for the price I paid for the new liners haha! Win, win!
what is the lightbar that u have on the front on the barricade bumper, i just got the same bumper and I want to put a light bar there instead of a couple of small individual lights but I don't know what to put on there. I don't want one that is really small, yours looks good
+mark prochorenko Yes, you could. The fender liner, having been cut, would be more of the issue, but the fender itself would be able to be re-installed.
Did you leave the metal support bracket on the front fender, or end up chopping it off? I just got my fenders in and am installing this weekend. Your video is by far the best help I've seen. Thanks!
It's a bit useless having your bumpers hang out so far with fender so short you're not really getting any performance just for articulation but your approach angle is still like stock
like mentioned below this isnt legal in most states/provinces. Have you been pulled over for it? I really want to install these on my JK but im worried about getting ticketed.
Ive never had any problems, but that doesn't mean I never will. If I get a ticket for it, then I'll deal with it. I've got a buddy who got a repair order with fenders much wider than these, so you just never know.
I love shorter fenders, the issue I have is my state requires that my fenders cover up to the outside of the tire. Awesome video! Where did you earn you Jeep Badge of Honor?
Bad Ass and informative video. I have now watched all three of the fender flare videos. You made my project look so easy. Can't wait to install mine. (XRC should post these on their website and pay you). Thanks again. Andy (ps the comments on video #3.....the hater "makes it look cheap"...what a jack ass). Of course it is cheap is that not what we all want to get a project done with the least cash out of pocket? Why did he watch the video? Because he did not want to "pay" someone to do it for him. Hello.....cheap
I don't get it. Every state that I've ever lived in has vehicle laws that require tires to be covered when they're viewed from the top, looking straight down. These little "extreme" fenders certainly don't comply and they definitely set you up for fix-it tickets to any cop that sees them. You're also going to get dirt, rocks and rain water thrown back onto your Jeep if you drive it in anything but perfect weather. Is it really all about pretending to be a _big boy rock crawler_ when most of these Jeeps are only used to drive back and forth to work and get groceries?
It’s not about being a “rock crawler”, it’s about the stock fenders always being ripped off when they catch on the rivets on the outer inside lip. The stock fenders look great, but when they rip off on the trail and it’s a huge pain in the ass. The back is extra sensitive to this even with a 3” lift if you have 35’s or bigger. As for the laws, I’ve never heard of anyone getting ticketed for flat fenders. If you’re driving like an asshole then maybe it’d be a good excuse to pull you over, but cops have better things to do I think.

ya get whatcha pay for
Excellent demo!! Clear video and instructions. It made it so easy to install mine. Definitely will look for further videos for more upgrades. Thanks
Do you need to put the liners back on or can you leave it without? I like the look with just the flares and no liner.

Great video series u made! What lift are u running? Thanks
What if you wanted the stock fenders put back on, is that possible?
are you happy with the MT tires?
Nice Rigg brother do you go off road in dmv area
How tall is your lift and your tires
Looks nice I really want the metacloak but they want so freaking much money for them.
Thank you for the video, I have these on order, and was concerned about installing and adding the liner back in. great video, extremely helpful.
Great video. Are you still running these? If so, how are they holding up?
Where did you get that American Flag sticker? I really like it!
Looks beautiful!! Great instructional video!
Hey man what rock sliders are on in this video?

Is there rubber to go between new metal fender in body?
Any reason you switched from the smitty builts to the metal cloak fenders?
Your video really helped
What rims are those?? Link maybe
Great video! What lightbar and size do you have on the bumper? I have the same bumper and really like the look of that size one.
“Oh yeah I’m asking for trouble now”😂
What type of rims
Would you be able put the factory fender back on in the future? Or no?
+mark prochorenko Yes, you could. The fender liner, having been cut, would be more of the issue, but the fender itself would be able to be re-installed.
Great video although I’m perturbed that you’ve kept the light lol

Leave it!
Leave it in case you want to go with some other fenders later that utilize that support!

35 tyre without lift?
nathan ma just a leveling kit. I did a video on that too.
Have you been hassled by the po-po for the fenders not covering the tires in the two years since you did this mod? Awesome look.
Not yet.... but it's always possible.

+JeepVideoGuy Thanks...most states have that issue. Most fenders don't meet it...unfortunately, especially when you stuff 12.50s under there!
I went with the Xenon flares, they seem to keep the authorities at bay. :)

Has a rock taken out the side marker light yet? lol

good thing NJ gives no shits about fenders and only emissions for inspection.
Any reason you switched from the smitty builts to the metal cloak fenders?
prob cus theyre 500x better
