I've seen enough reviews and vids to know this type of game wasn't for me (I'll stick to MTG for my card dueling fix) but you did bring up an interesting point on Western themed games -- there are a lot of them and there are more to come. I skipped on Shadows of Brimstone because of the price but Colt Express has piqued my curiosity since Gen Con. No interest in Bang, Spurs, Revolver, Dice Town, and ancient Gold rush themes (sans Pay Dirt, which is set in more modern times but BGG still qualifies it under the American West category). On the plus side, thinking of Doomtown makes me want to see Westworld again... haven't seen that in forever. :)
Nice review. To correct you though, if you going to compare games then technically netrunner copied doomtown not the other way around. Doomtown was out like ten years before netrunner.

The shootout mini-game is kind of like 7th Sea (another AEG CCG from olden days) boarding actions.
