Mikrotik wireless bridge connection.

- This is a 10 minute tutorial on how to connect to an existing wireless network and bridge the wireless connection through to an Ethernet port on the mikrotik.
The laptop is connected to ether 5 on the mikrotik 951g
The topology is like this:
Internet router - Wireless network - Mikrotik 951g - Laptop
You should had mentioned that the station bridge mode only works between Mikrotik routers, as it's proprietary. I had to use the station-pseudobridge to connect my Mikrotik to a Synology router.
Paulo Mario so if I use this option instead of bridge, it would all for connection to my linksy router?
samuel singh I suppose you meant "it would allow". Yes, pseudobridge works with any router, it's completely transparent, but you can only bridge a single Ethernet port on the Mikrotik, as far as I know.

Paulo, thank you for the helpful comment! Last night I was convinced that I had some obscure Spanning Tree problem with my Unifi Mesh Wifi setup, and this did the trick.

can i connect mikrotik(mikrotik metal 2shpn) to tp-link router
I have 2 rb411 routers and one has a r52 dualband wifi card, the other has a dbii networks 5ghz F50-pro wifi card..... I can't seem to get them to see each other. I started looking on youtube for some insight but its pretty straight forward and im almost to the point that the cards don't like eachother?
Hi Robert... Im trying to do this config in a RB751u-2hnd but i have problems... when i add the ethernet port and the wlan port to the bridge, the wlan turn to RS (runnin - slave) and loss the ping to the gateway.... do you have an idea about this?

With the Mikrotik routers, all of them work in the same way. So the config in this video will apply to the mikrotik 2011.

isp >wired to mikrotik rb951 > wired to nano station 2.4 > wireless to rocket m2 as access point > wireless to all remote station planning of 10 station , and users can connect wifi hotspot on this 10 remote station.

can you use the wireless connection as well on the mikrotik or is it only the Ethernet port for interenet
+josh heller You can use the wireless for internet breakout or the ethernet cable.
So if you have a router connecting to another one with internet, it will use the wireless connection for the internet.

sir I have microtik sxt lite 5 it is not showing 2.4 GHz band in station bridge
Not sure why that would show the 2.5GHz band. Does the sxt support the 2.4GHz range?

Hi Robert,This video was very helpfull to learn how to connect to an wifi network..but I got a timeout problem on ping.
What is the problem you think? The ping secreen is repeats itself after the second, fifth, eighth and so on. as follows;

It looks like the router on your next hop does not have a route to the destination 4.2.2.1. Make sure that it has a default route somewhere and internet connection.

I just deleted the IP address on router and bridge and then the PC got the IP automatically from the Gate way over mikrotik. Is this what you were trying to show on this video?
+Egit Rezgar that is correct. With the wlan and the ether interface in a bridge group, the DHCP will be served from your dhcp server that your wireless connects to.
The only reason your mikrotik requires an ip address, would be for management and if the router itself needs internet access. All other traffic will pass through the router.
