This match probably pushed Ryu harder than the Olympic finals. Backhand flick, backhand loops, defense and lobs, deep backspin pushes followed by counterattack, Ryu showed us that he's more than just lightning fast footwork and killer forehands.

He is very familiar with Oh's playing style so he adjusted accordingly
TPB isn’t meant to win a point but rather to prepare for a forehand shot afterwards.

Oh Sang was more difficult opponent to him than 2004 Wang Hao 'cause Wang didn't have defensive-counter attacking abilities.
