Very well done. This 2011 Wuthering Heights is very different than the others. It captures the visceral sounds, textures and raw emotions of the times of the novel. I am a fan of the book, all the versions of W. Heights on film, the music of Kate Bush and now this movie. It's a good enough story to embrace many reincarnations. This is certainly the most original. I loved it.

I really felt sorry for Heathcliff during the whole movie :( he was an orphan, everyone treated him like trash, and the only person that showed him kindness really was Cathy. And the only time he smiled was when he saw her. I wish they could have ended up together 😭😭💔💔💔

Visually, this version of the movie is very beautiful. The casting for young Catherine and Heathcliff were very well done as well as older Heathcliff, however I did not like Catherine in this version, plus the lack of dialogue and exclusion of a one of the most important pieces of the story- the next generation, was completely taken out. I felt like it was just a artsy rendition of the story without staying true to the depth and passion in it.

It's very strange the relationship people tend to have with films when they're adapted. I've never read Wuthering Heights (just never got around to it) but as a film I thought it was just incredible. And it is a film. It's not a book on screen, it's something new entirely and I don't think it really 'owes' anything to what it's based on. But that's just me.

As far as I know, 'Wuthering Heights' has made a lot of movies. Among them, 1939, 1950, 1970, 1992, 2009, 2011, 2017 are used as representative. 1992 is famous for the movie which Julliette Binoche starred in our country.
The posters are also beautiful, and the desolate landscape of the Yorkshire Moors, especially in the film reporter series, is often seen as the backdrop for the overwhelming cove.
Among the many films I have noticed in 2017 is that if other films have made a film that focuses on the content of the novel, it seems that the film was made by the emotional writer of writer Emily Bronte . If there is a genius in the director, a black actress appears in the male protagonist Heathcliff. It seemed to be director directing to want to express pain of love so much in heart. Although the visual beauty is like a music video, it is a sensual representation of the desolate scenery as opposed to the unspoilt beauty of England's Yorkshire Moore.
In the middle of the movie, I thought that the scene where the heroine falls on a black ridgeline is a sensuous production that is expressed with the heather that is burned and burned and burned because the soil is buried in the face.
    The story is longer.
    I watched your wonderful video.
    Thank you.

i love this book so badly and that's probably why i don't like movies about it... no movie is enough. and actors doesn't fit... really... i can't watch movies based on this story. Cath and Heathcliff will always be my OTP. my madness and my pure love. this video is amazing, editing, scenes, music, how much i love this song? have no idea. this song is epic and it fits really great. amazing job!

    Lyrics
Rip the earth in two with your mind
Seal the urge which ensues with brass wires
I never meant you any harm
But your tears feel warm as they fall on my forearms
But close my eyes for a while
Force from the world a patient smile
How can you say that your truth is better than ours?
Shoulder to shoulder, now brother, we carry no arms
The blind man sleeps in the doorway, his home
If only I had an enemy bigger than my apathy I could have won
    But I gave you all
    I gave you all
    I gave you all
Close my eyes for a while
Force from the world a patient smile
    But I gave you all
    I gave you all
    I gave you all
And you rip it from my hands
And you swear it's all gone
And you rip out all I had
Just to say that you've won
And you rip it from my hands
And you swear it's all gone
And you rip out all I had
Just to say that you've won
    Well now you've won
    But I gave you all
    I gave you all
    I gave you all

It's really gorgeous sweetie!!! Perfect vid, plus my amazing M&S! I never finished the film, I got bored at a moment, but your vid really makes me want to finish it!!! There's a real beauty in this film, and you really knew how to depict it. That's you! You just know how to depict beauty! And there are not very numerous vidders who know how to do that. You are part of those vidders who really inspire me. That's what I want to do, show the beauty in my vids! That's what you always do!

Yeah you're completely right in that noone has yet managed to capture the novel... I think maybe it will always be impossible. Some novels are meant to stay as novels! :P This being one of them. I think the emotion and beautiful dialogue and what is maybe unspoken is too difficult to express visually. Aw well. Haha I don't think this film appeals to literary types at all either! I do English Lit at degree level and some novels are best left alone. :)

Hey yeah, it's interesting that you say it's not your fave version of WH - it's not mine either!! Honestly, I was disappointed really when I bought the DVD :/ I agree though that they captured the more brutal element of their relationship but I was left slightly hanging at the end. Ive read the book and for me this film needed more words, cause the most vital part is speech. Cathy saying "I am Heathcliff" he represents the eternal rocks beneath blah blah. :P It was cut out! But great video :)

    I agree with the brutal part; I think the film gave the message of "they hate each other but they still hang out" but the book conveys total friendship for me, with the odd argument and all that jazz. Cathy was too abusive and yeah, there was a total lack of speech. And there was no resolution for Hareton and Cathy, and there was no Linton whatsoever. I ADORE this video but not the film. Wuthering Heights is my favourite book (currently rereading it for the third time) and I was disapointed :{

Did she love him when he returned? It was apparent that heathcliff didn't forget her, but I got the feeling that she liked him because he reminded her of a love they once had. I didn't get that she loved him anymore.

THIS film has not been remade ... it's a new version! However, producers have free will to do as they wish with a classic such as this. You seem to have a major problem with that. It'd be nice to have fans of WH enjoy its discussion without having foul and illiterate imbeciles such as you changing the atmosphere! Now I hope the stench has cleared, never to return!

Wuthering heights is my favorite love story(though it's much more complex than that). But the movie sucks. Starting with the cast. Heathcliff is evil, life made him like that-the only good thing about him are his feelings for Cathy, and she marries someone else. Both of the actors, portraying Heathcliff here exude innocense of angels. To get close to the idea of the raging passions that is Heathcliff, they need to show us these poor people murdering and molesting animals! I can not accept that,I'm sorry. And,really, they cut off a lot of very important literature content,a lot of what makes Wuthering Heights so great. I have watched almost every movie adaptation. Ralph Feins and Juliette Binoche can not be surpassed.
