Just started watching this on Showcase in Canada. It's quite addictive. I've noticed recently that there's a surprising good amount of really good foreign shows these days.
i was so pissed they killed ET. as josh lyons wanted to leave the show just let him have left the navy as ET said he wanted to and he could have left the show and maybe in the future could come back as a guest .but kill him? gosh that pissed me off. i was so sad he died.
I am ex Navy I didnt mind it, I personally think they went downhill after season 3 after they lost the main cast. The show on a Patrol Boat esp the relationships would NOT be tolerated. The CO/XO in PARTICIALR would be probably be censured and BOOTED off the ship so fast their heads would spin. The Nav and ET MIGHT have gotten away with it if it was keep very discreet. Those relationships are more common on the War Ships but these days as long as the relationships are “declared” depending on the ranks, it is allowed but there is NO funny business allowed. My job was actually the SWAIN - on Patrol Boats we DO act as the medic per se HOWEVER the other and our MAJOR role was discipline. Apparently all the relationships under his nose he just let slide out was very blind LOL!!! I woulda reported the lot of them!!
JarradV92 I was SO SO upset with the choice to kill ET as well. He was my favorite character. I tried to like the other guys that were meant to "Replace" him in later seasons, but it was never the same. Lyons is a very good actor and was perfect for a role like that, so was so mad they did that. I'm also a huge fan of Saskia and her role, and I thought they were the perfect couple, and it broke my heart when she had to lose him. With you on the fact they should have kept him alive as a guest!
I really love this show, but its only season 3 been shown here in Ireland. I saw pics of season 4 and see Nav and Buffer are missing from the season 4 group photo. I think Nav is really dishy and disapointed she is not there, dying to see what happened. Its exellent in the sense that,, who would I be if I was there, Id probably be the charge, and its brilliant story lines. Deffo my favourite show, Id say the Auzzie Navy applications have gone sky high thanks to this show. I LOVE NAV,,lol
I like this show very much! Finally a really cool, interesting and exciting series. But it's a little bit hard to note for me, that my favourite character Nav will not show up any more:( By the way, a long time ago I saw another australian crime series I liked, but I can't remember its title.
Hoping to watch this for Spider ~ Jay Ryan whom I absolutely adore in his current lead role as Vincent Keller on America's Beauty and the Beast. Please watch him. Amazing actor. Awesome fun show.
The upward salute is so old school, so outdated! Nothing wrong with saluting the American way! After all 99% of the world's military's owe their success to the almighty USA!
I agree 100% you have the biggest and mightiest Military, but I have to defend my country and say that the Royal Navy, Royal Canadian Navy, Royal Australian Navy and My country's Royal New Zealand Navy whilst not the biggest , but those mentioned are the BEST.....Just as aside all the USN Aircraft Carrier's employ Royal Navy Technology in the design of the flight decks.. That said I am grateful you blokes are our allies.
Good show but I can see actors leaving fir better job potential. Plus some if the things they do is just awful. They would not pass US coast guard etc.
